- rayofsj0 contributionsLots of walking but still enjoyableHad a good time. Our guide really provided a lot of information and pointed out a lot of things on the last supper painting. Be warned, it’s a lot of walking if you do the sforza castle tour.Written September 5, 2024

- mdjoseph29760 contributionsAmazing experience not to be missed in MilanMy husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience on this tour. Andrea was our guide and he made this experience even better! Not only did I not have to worry about getting tickets to the Last Supper before they sold out but the commentary during the viewing was so perfect. I am so glad I didn't do it on my own. Andrea was very educated on this experience and the piece we were looking at. The church after was so incredible. We are so glad we got to see them both. Then we stopped afterwards at the oldest bar in Milan, Bar Magenta! it was great. Loved the area, we had a nice leisurely stroll through the park and then Brera district. Perfect day in Milan. Great tour!Written June 16, 2024

- celmond0 contributionsFabulous Day in CremonaWe booked a tour to Cremona. Everything was perfect and without a glitch. Beatrice of Travel Diary booked us train tickets from Milan to Cremona and even validated the tickets for us before our trip. She arranged for the Cremona guide Francesca to meet us at Cremona train station itself. It was a great day trip - most significant parts of Cremona were covered, including the Iconic Clock Tower and Violin Museum. We even got to see a violin recital! Thank you so much for arranging such an awesome tour for us!Written March 26, 2024
- P8027KBlaurab0 contributionsFantastic wine tasting experienceExcellent wine tasting experience! We were able to taste 4 of Italy's high quality wines while also learning about the wine and the italian wine regions. Sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly which made the entire experience a great time. The wine bar is definitely a place I would return to if ever back in Milan!Written March 10, 2024
- jTrippr0 contributionsGreat value tour with Incredible Last Supper ViewsThe tour really was worth it, and that was largely because of our tour guide, Alexa was great. Her knowledge of the city Milan and its history was impressive given it wasn’t a city she grew up in but moved to.. The Last Supper really was incredible, and an absolute treasure to see.. I’d book this same tour again in a heartbeat.Written February 26, 2024

- witm20230 contributionsIncredible wine tasting 🍷Had an incredible time! As first-time wine tasters, we asked the sommelier a lot of questions, and he not only answered them with enthusiasm but also provided a wealth of knowledge, making the tasting accessible and enjoyable. The selection of wines was fantastic, making us confident that even seasoned wine enthusiasts would find it worthwhile. Additionally, the snacks and the overall ambiance of the place were a delicious touch We highly recommend this tasting. 🍷✨Written December 23, 2023

- F8767YPjamesc0 contributions1/2 day at Komo = great decisionThe trip started off quite nicely, as we were met promptly at the starting point. Access to the train, and the discussion during the train ride was enlightening. Once we arrived at Como, the pace, at which he lead, the tour was quite comfortable, and the information, history met all of our needs. Our particular guide had actually lived in Como, and that was quite helpful I believe. Choosing between this in the full day tour, I think we made the best choice. As we had time to just absorb the history and the environment after the tour was over, without being overly exhausted.Written November 17, 2023
- qpqpdbdbrrrjoy0 contributionsLiv tour with guide KaterinaOur guide, KATERINA, showed us around. We were a group of 4 adults, a 1 year old and a 3 year old. She was also very kind to the children. She was very thorough in explaining details about Leonardo da Vinci's murals that are not talked about in books or on TV. It was a tour worth going even if it was a detour.Written November 14, 2023

Our guide Renzo chatted to us all the way to Como on the train giving us a good overview of the area and was willing to answer any questions. After disembarking the train we walked to a street corner where we were picked up by Momi, the chef, in his trusty van and continued to the markets.
Momi was relaxed and cheerful as he collected his fresh produce, asking us if we had any special requests. After which he drove us along a windy road beside Lake Como to the restaurant. The setting was beautiful. We were offered coffee before we entered the kitchen.
We were given various chopping tasks while Momi supervised the cooking of lunch, giving us instructions on how to cook each dish. I have never encountered such a happy, relaxed chef and it reflected in the tempo of all who worked there. We were offered an aperitif while preparing the pasta.
The weather was perfect for sitting outside so we were taken to our table with the most spectacular view of Lake Como. We were offered wine with lunch and then we were presented with several courses we had watched/helped being prepared earlier.
Delicious.
After lunch Momi drove us back to the train station. Renzo was in no hurry to board the train and took us on a walking tour of Como, famous for its silk.
Nothing was too much trouble for Renzo and he was a lovely guide. He even rescued my jacket which I left at the restaurant and returned it to me in Milan.

The trip started horribly with poor instructions on how to meet our guide resulting in an hour delay of departure. This is not a cooking class by any stretch of the word. Chef Momi is quite charismatic but did not attempt to teach us anything or talk about any of the food. We chopped zucchini and cleaned mussels with assistant cooks who were pleasant. we did not watch or help with any cooking and were served a lunch that was nice but not great. The description of the class we booked outlined a wonderful, food and learning experience with wine and wonderful foods and that was a lie. Our tour guide was pleasant and informed but that was not the reason we booked this tour.

Hello Joan P, we are very sorry for your horrible experience as you called it. To be honest I think you are not descriving correctly all the facts so I am here to explain the situation correctly in order to clarify everything especially for other travelers intersted in taking this beautiful tour .
First of all, you booked this tour through an online platform that resell our tours and after we told them to change the meeting point they didn't changed it so you were waiting at the wrong meeting point while the guide was at the ordinary meeting point. then you were surprise that the tour was private while it is written that is a Private experience with our Chef, Guide and so on.. let's go on, you took the train to reach Como and then our Chef Momi picked you up from the station to take you to his Restaurant, you arrived at Momi place which is simply wonderful, directly on the Lake with a full view on the Lake. But let's talk about the cooking class,
We take the opportunity given by this review to clarify what can be expected during our cooking class.
This is a Real experience in real restaurant, you are involved in the preparation of the menu of the day. You follow Momi's assistant making fresh pasta, then another assistant cook for the second dish of the day and the same thing with the dessert.
In the meanwhile chef Momi is always there as supervisor and explaining some of his secretes that can be useful at home also.
After this full immersion it is time to have lunch. Your lunch is served with full view on the lake, the menù is served with a bottle of wine and free time for relax after the cooking experience. After lunch our Guide escort you by boat to Como for a nice walking tour before leaving the town.
