We had a wonderful day with Karl and were very fortunate to be the only two people on the tour. Karl is obviously very passionate about his city and offered a unique insight into its history. It was a great lecture throughout the day filled with amazing food and drink. The affirmation of our choice to visit the Cimitero Monumentale di Staglieno the next day was spot on. We were a bit hesitant to go at first as we were planning to take the bus there. We are always a little leery of taking busses in foreign cities as we get a bit nervous about not knowing which stop to depart. The bus system in Genova we were pleasantly surprised to find is very easy to navigate and has a message board on the bus that tells you which stop is next. We would highly recommend spending the day with Karl- he will treat you very well and you will certainly enjoy yourself. Molto grazie Karl per una giornata memorabile e anche il libro. Ciao!

Karl was our guide for this tour and provided us with a wonderful experience. He is extremely informative and passionate about the city of Genoa. We were a little late because of the traffic, but he put us at ease, was waiting patiently when we arrived and was willing to extend the tour so we didn't miss anything. However, we wore out before he did! We highly recommend this tour especially if Karl is your guide.

We had an absolutely brilliant day !
Carl was very informative and explained the history in a way which was easy to understand and never boring .
We were given opportunities to view places that we would never have found or been able to access .
Our group was just the right size to thoroughly enjoy every point of the tour and Carl certainly facilitated the ease in which we all got along so well and in fact made new friends .
Fabulous company , food , drink and history , Carl went over and above what we expected and we will remember this tour as one of the best we have ever taken !!

What an amazing day. Karl was fantastic. He had so much knowledge of the Genoa History. The food and drink could NOT have been any better. We were on Holiday for 14 days and this tour was the highlight. You should not pass this one up. You’ll be blown away how many little secrets and hidden gems you’ll find.

Karl is a terrific guide to this cryptic city. We (4 of us) booked a 7 hour tour, with some concern over the length. Turns out it is the ideal way to learn about Genoa and it's lead role in the development and growth of western Europe. Karl unlocks the history as we toured through the old city and it's faded palaces. Many food and drink stops along the way to sample regional foods and rest your feet -- it is a lot of walking but with proper shoes and decent physical shape all doable. I don't think the city can be figured out without a proper guide, and Karl is the guy to do it. He is high-energy, customer-oriented, and has deep knowledge of the region. Highly recommended!
Note: if you're looking to visit the tourist attractions on the water (aquarium, shops, Italy) this is not this tour.

Hello :-) :-) :-) thank you so much . Anytime i read feed back, i find difficult to say thank you the right way. Well, thank you and it has been a pleasure for mee to spend the day with you. I like the Customer oriented :-) i think that one is a great compliment if you had that idea, as i think is the bse of any service as you come for the history and visit the city but be nice to the guests is my first duty and i love to take care of them, and tthis tanks to a one restaurant in America where the waiter take care of me so well despite i was dresses so badly. I had such a blast in genova - I actually said on video that I would live here. My favoriete part was when I had the limmeno Chello shots with hollie. Just kidding my favoriete part was the church santissima church. There was good engagement from Karl - hè was a great Guy and answered all my questions.

Karl was absolutely fabulous and so knowledgeable. We totally recommend this tour to get a feel of the history and the surroundings. This tour is well worth the time and effort. Karl definitely has a passion for this city and represents it well. We loved being in Genoa and I got to try some prosecco, food, gelato and loved it! Thank you!!!
