Visit secret and underground Bologna

By Rome and Italy Group
About
During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, Bologna was a city of water, crossed by a labyrinth of canals: would you have ever said that? Few people know that under today's squares and buildings are hidden the traces of an unknown city, underground Bologna, discover it with us on this tour! Accompanied by our guide, you can stroll to discover the Bolognese water network surrounded by nature among canals, mills and reservoirs, and then reach a mysterious and fascinating place: the Bagni di Mario, certainly one of the most surprising places on the underground route. We will also be able to observe the city from a special panoramic point! At the end of our excursion, a rich lunch awaits us to toast the beautiful day spent together!

Very fortunate to have this service in Italy
I was let down by a provider for an accessible tour of Pompeii outside Naples, so I arranged this tour very last minute. I was so pleased to be able to take my son who is a full time wheelchair user to Pompeii from our cruise ship, and also to be dropped back to the port. The accessible taxi was perfect, arrived on time, and our guide was really great in Pompeii. We were so grateful to be able to visit a part of the ancient ruins that had been made accessible. Thanks for making our time in Naples so enjoyable.

    Milan to Rome Handicap Accessible
This trip was incredible, from the first moment we arrived in Italy. Rome and Italy touring company did a fabulous job planning our entire seemless trip. Our tour guide met us at the airport, guided us to the accessible van, and helped us to our hotel. Each one of our tour guides was absoluletly amazing and easy going. Making our trip very relaxing. We actually started in Milan and ended in Rome. During the adventure one of the trains was delayed, Rome and Italy travel company was right on top of it and immediately schedule a private accessible van for our transfer from Florence to Rome. In Rome we were out and about with a scheduled meet-up with our tour guide at the hotel with a quick text we were able to change pick-up location to the Trevi Fountain. Resturants with stairs only were amazing and often help carry me in. I cannot thank Rome and Italy enough. Having ALS I was extremely nervou about this trip, it was a bucket list item they helped make possible. Thank you Rome and Italy I wish I could return the experience you made possible.

When in Venice, Request Barbara C as your Tour Guide.
We booked 3 wheelchair accessible tours with Rome and Italy Tours: 1. Our Venetian Highlights tour was canceled because of an injury to my wife. Not the company’s fault at all. 2. We did take the second tour: the Jewish Ghetto in Venice. Our guide was very nice but 2 things were not as advertised: A. The guide did not accompany us on the part of the tour into the synagogues. As we were part of a larger group visiting the synagogues, we could not keep up with the group due to us using a wheelchair. We totally lost the group while they were at the first synagogue. B. Also both synagogues are not wheelchair friendly and my wife was unable to climb the stairs into the sanctuary of both synagogues. PLEASE DO NOT ADVERTISE THIS GHETTO TOUR AS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE! 3. Shopping tour of Venice. Simply, this was the most perfect wheelchair accessible tour we have ever taken and I attribute this to our wonderful guide Barbara C. We had so much fun on this tour as Barbara took us to see everything on our request list. We purchased some beautiful linens, and women’s accessories that we could find only thru the expertise of Barbara. She deserves 5 stars and certainly the 4 stars of my rating.

    Exceptional Customer Service
We scheduled a driver from the airport; went on an Angels & Demons Tour; went on a guided trip to Pompeii and Sorrento and went on a tour of St. Peter's basilica. All of the guides were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Our driver was great and gave us good tips for our vacation. We are from the U.S. and everyone spoke English very well. From the beginning with a zoom meeting to determine what tours to choose to having to reschedule one of the tours, this company's customer service was exceptional. I highly recommend this company.

Realizable and very patient, respectful driver.
We hired this company for our private family service. Our driver is awesome! very patient, and follow through. He took us to places we want to see. He never say NO and always ready whenever we want him to drive us. Me and my family are very grateful to the service. They communicate very well with us making sure we are taken care of.

    Searching for Italy Tour
We booked the 12-day Stanley Tucci Searching for Italy package through Rome and Italy Travel in Rome, Italy. This was a tour that followed Stanley Tucci’s first season television show on CNN. We were four travelers and loved the small group type of travel rather than a bus full of people. Here is a link to that tour. Searching for Italy package - Stanley Tucci series - romeanditaly.com. We started in Milan and ate and drank our way down the west coast of Italy to Sicily. Each day we had a private driver and some days a private guide. If you want to see a lot of Italy in a short span, this is the way to go. They kept us busy and on the move every day. Each day we had a cooking class and then either lunch or dinner at a restaurant. Some of the advertised places were closed permanently due to covid, so they had alternatives of equal quality. The tour company was extremely accommodating of our every request. Whether changing a time or place to better fit our schedule, or just canceling some dining activities because we just couldn’t eat anymore, they fulfilled every request, no questions asked. In conclusion, I would recommend Rome and Italy Travel to anyone wanting to follow Tucci’s steps or just book a trip to Italy.

    Stanley's Tucci tour
Last week my family and I concluded the fantastic 'Stanley Tucci tour' . Tour that made us fully immerse ourselves in Stanley Tucci's experience in the beloved series. The dishes on offer mirrored those in the series to the fullest. Amazing dishes with a mega delicious taste! Tour that exceeded our expectations. The staff was always very helpful and kind, offering us the most professional and well-organised service. We are looking forward to the tour of the second series they are organising!!!

Price increase at very last minute
Halyna increased the price at last minute. I asked her to use Rome and Italy website Priceline and she would not. I sent her pics of the website and she said it was impossible to use her own web pricing

Review of stay at Via Boezio bnb
This is a perfect location for a city break. We were thrilled with the location. All landmarks where max of 40 mins walk away. Bus service very cheap as well. Right in the Vatican city which is a beautiful place to stay in Rome. Rafaella is a perfect host and very hospitalitable and friendly you cannot not get on with her. Nearby supermarket and pharmacy and close to goo restaurants. There are rooftop bars which are a close walk away. This place is near the castle Saint Angelo which has stunning view points in Rome right around the corner as well as the Vatican museum being around the corner. Trevi Fountain and Patheon is 20 min walk. This is round the corner from Saint Peters Bascilla which has highest view point in Rome, but there are many stairs so take water, there is only disabled acces half way up as well. Colosseum is completely disability friendly, as well as all churches. Rafaella could not do enough to make our stay perfect. We came for our honeymoon and it was such a romantic city. We will never forget her hospitality. You can easily book this place up and get transfers with SIT from around the corner. Also for booking the Colosseum, it is cheaper to do online. But cheaper to pay for the Vatican museum inside the actual place. The Sistine chapel is inside the Vatican museum.. just FYI as we nearly missed this when walking about. Do not pay for Saint Peters Bascilla as it is free with the viewpoint being £10. All the best Rob and Shev. X

Overpriced, nothing negative about the service though.
I ordered an electric hoist for a one week trip to Italy. I can't say anything bad about the hoist itself or the delivery. Everything was done as agreed. However, unfortunately I can't recommend this service because of the extra high price. I paid €550 to rent an electric hoist just for one week. That's super expensive. By comparison, I paid €255 (€15 per day) to rent the exact same electric hoist for a two week trip to Spain in May 2022. That's about four times cheaper for the same service (just renting a hoist). As a result, I cannot recommend this service, unfortunately.

Private Vatican tour with ‘Rome and Italy’ was well worth it and I would highly recommend
Our ‘Rome and Italy’ tour guide, Marco, was awesome. Very knowledgeable, a real history buff and his passion showed in all his explanations and anecdotal stories. This was my second visit to the Vatican. In the room of maps, he told us the most interesting stories pointing out things I did not ‘see’ during my first ‘unguided’ visit. It caused us to really appreciate all the artifacts in the area. He also whisked us through some shortcuts not available to the general public. The result was a very detailed and impactful 3 hrs that left us feeling like we really got our money’s worth.

Private Tour of Uffuzi Gallery in Florence Italy and Leaning Tower of Pisa
Rome And Italy worked w/ me to create a custom cruise ship excursion from Livorno, Italy that included a private driver to Florence, Italy along with a private tour of the Uffizi Gallery in Florence and lunch in Florence, Italy. Our private driver then took us to Pisa, Italy to view the leaning tower of Pisa. The tour was fantastic, and the tour company was exceptionally accommodating when the day before our tour, the cruise ship changed our cruise port from Livorno, Italy to La Spezia, Italy.
