Loredana did an amazing job on our Modena Food Tour. We’ve many done food tours all over the world… But Loredana was next level! She was kind, energetic and welcoming, and really great with our kids. So many stops! The markets, food, gelato and balsamic tasting... all great! We purchased delicious balsamic and shipped it home. We loved her and Modena! The best day of our trip! Do this with Taste Bologna!

Our food tour of Modena was really terrific. Our guide, Loredana was so kind and knowledgeable. She was able to share with us so much about the culture and culinary tradition of Modena and the Emilia Romagna Region.

I spent a few days with my friend in Bologna - Both of us loves to eat good Stuff especially in Italy - We booked a Food Tour with Darren an Eugenio - they showed us Secret places 5 Stars …. The Food the Talk the Route was historical and Taste the best …. The guiedes were friendly funny and verry sympaticly - no question was to difficult or Strange for them - the two Boys are perfect guides and also good in teaching new things - i would like to go with them second and third time - Book this tour and you will remember them and it the hole life - Trust me!

We did the 1-hour class in making the pasta and forming the tortelloni shapes, then tasting. Fun, informative. Instructor had limited English skills, but was great as it’s basically a visual and experiential activity. We look forward to attempting at home, although will likely make the dough with a pasta machine!

We had the best time with Darren, while we were in Bologna. We did the walk around the city with great food, cheese, gelato and a stop at a local Osteria. That trip was an excellent time. The best part came on Day 2 when we went to a Parmigiana producer, an Acetaia in Modena for a balsamic tasting and a Prosciutteria. In all of the locations, we got walked through with the production processes end to end. We sampled amazing cheese, amazing prosciutto and the Acetaia experience, was the crown jewel. We had the most amazing lunch at the Acetaia in a private room, with a two amazing bottles of D.O.P balsamic at each setting for you to try with all of the foods that were prepared specifically for the balsamic. In every case, I don't know how we could've had more enjoyment out of the trip. Everything was absolutely spectacular. We were also able to make some shortstops along the way to see some very fantastic small castle towns. I would highly recommend Darren for a trip and request the trip that we did as well. It was a new one for his company and he was blown away himself. He is a very knowledgeable person in food and beverage, and is a pleasure to be around for a day.

I did the Modena Balsamic Vinegar tasting - absolutely amazing! Would highly recommend if you are a foodie. It went for about an hour, the lovely lady was so knowledgeable and learning about how the vinegar is made is actually really interesting. I was able to book this a few days in advance.

This was great. Sadly, the weather did not cooperate and was very rainy (not their fault) but it required some modification and we spent time in the market indoors. Our guide was so invested in the experience and making it a great time. I will say I thought we were getting the tour Stanley Tucci did in the area as I went to his website and clicked on the link provided. He visited where they make the parmigiana and prosciutto. This was definitely not that. So, a bit disappointed. We drove 3 hours from Montepulciano. It was a wonderful experience and I recommend it.

What a fantastic food tour! Loredana our host was exceptionally engaging as she introduced us to the tastes of Modena, from breakfast traditions to dessert, everything is covered. Good introduction to the history of the area and how important food production is in this region.

My husband and I were staying in Bologna but thought it would be worthwhile to take a food tour of another, local village so we selected Parma. The short train ride from Bologna to Parma only added to the sense of adventure and fun. Upon arrival at the designated meeting place w began an epic foodie affair. We have done lots of food tours all over the world. This was a slower, more immersive tour than we had experienced before. Our guide, Lisa, took us into kitchens where we got to make tortellini and pastry shops and restaurants each with a unique specialty, hence story to tell. We didn't think about this when making our reservation, but Parma is a really fantastic place for a food tour because their history and iconic foods are so intertwined. Parma is also incredibly charming and very walkable. We reluctantly boarded the train back to Bologna, sad to say "arrivederci" to Parma but telling ourselves that we will someday return. Thank you, Lisa, and Taste Bologna for a fantastic experience.

We had an amazing time learning how to make tortellini, tortellini and tagliatelle! Consuela was a great instructor! Best part was enjoying the food we prepared and a little wine! Would highly recommend!

We had an amazing tour experience with Darren, who clearly has a passion for food. Not only did we get to have a taste of the best that Bologna offers, Darren provides great historical and lifestyle insight of the city with his easy going demeanor, which makes the tour relaxing, tasty and very interesting. We can attest that Darren, who is also a chef, has the best taste - he introduced us to the best gelaterie after all! He can also share many other recommendations if you are visiting other cities in Italy.

Really enjoyed the Modena food tour what a fantastic experience to try so much of what the area has to offer! We left full and would recommend! Wish we had time to do the Bologna tour also. Delicious- thanks to Darren.

Had a fantastic time with Darren during a sunset tour! Darren’s huge knowledge of the history of the city was matched by his passion for the local foods through his experience as a chef. Darren also provided some great food and wine recommendations and tips for the remainder of our trip. A wonderful way to discover the city (and Pignoletto!)

It was a great experience and we really enjoyed the time spent with our guide Loredana. She explained a lot about the region‘s history of food, showed us nice places in town and the variety of the food was amazing. We started with cappuccino and some breakfast, went to the market, to a Aceto store and finished with ice cream. Highly recommended tour!
