An awesome host, with really interesting enjoyable factory and farm tours! The food and wine tasting sections were delicious and we were thoroughly stuffed full by the end of the final lunch. Everything ran very smoothly and felt bespoke for us even though it was a tour that operates daily. Only one thing I would note is we where travelling from Maranello to the Pick Up point in Bologna but on reflection as the first tour stop is almost back in Maranello (Near Modena) it would be better for people coming from the east to join at the first factory instead of taxing into the city to come right back out (It was a pricey taxi). Thankfully any irritation for this was more than made up for by an amazing day had and by the time we got home full of food and wine and exhausted we had almost completely forgotten about the early start :)

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! We were picked up at our hotel at 7 am sharp and then taken to the first tour which was at a Parmigiano Reggiano factory. We got to see the cheese making process and Alessandro did a great job of explaining the whole process. This was probably my favorite tour of the trip! We then went to the Balsamic vinegar tour. We first had the “breakfast of champions” where we got to taste two parmigiano reggiano cheeses (12 and 36 month) along with an assortment of pastries and other charcuterie. We then did the balsamic vinegar tour which admittedly there isn’t much to see other than the “batterias” but Alessandro again did a great job of explaining the whole process. We then did the balsamic tasting where we got to try four different balsamic vinegars, which were all available for purchase. The final stop was the prosciutto factory. This was probably my least favorite tour as you can really only look at hanging meat for so long, but again Alessandro did a great job of explaining the whole process. Finally, you end with a family style lunch where you get to taste different kinds of prosciutto along with different crostinis, pasta, wine and dessert all handmade by Alessandro’s girlfriend. Come hungry because the portions are very generous!

All in all this is a great tour that I would highly recommend. Alessandro’s passion is infectious and you can tell he really loves what he does.

Alessandro and the guys were amazing. Making sure we were up and excited at 7am to learn about the amazing food culture the area has to experience was no problem for him. The places we visited were truly authentic and of extreme quality. We definitely will be back to take this tour next time in Italy. I cannot recommend this enough. I have to say when booking this tour I thought the price was a little high, about halfway through the tour I realized they were not charging enough.

The tour was well organized from start to finish. Our guide (and owner), Allesandro, kept the energy level up throughout the 9 hour tour and was full of interesting information on parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar, and ham production. Pace yourself on eating the generous breakfast and multi-course lunch as the food never stopped coming nor the wine flowing.

Phenomenal tour which cannot be missed if you're traveling through Bologna or Modena. As a result of this tour, I have a deep knowledge of how to distinguish between superior and inferior quality Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, balsamic vinegar IGP and DOP, and prosciutto DOP. I'll be able to apply this knowledge in perusing and shopping for these culinary delicacies.

The tour guide Alessandro was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the region, the amazing culinary specialties, and the Italian wine. The breakfast and the huge lunch was fabulous: 3 types of Modena prosciutto DOP, 3 types of pasta, balsamic vinegar DOP, tiramisu dessert, and Italian Lambrusco wine. Phenomenal value for this all-day tour which includes transportation.

It truly doesn't get any better than this tour. WHAT an incredible day, one that we will remember fondly forever! Alessandro and his team (and family!) treat you like royalty for a day, and their absolute passion for the foods and traditions of Emilia Romagna will touch your soul. You will meet the cheesemakers and share breakfast with them (a true feast at only 9am!), you will taste 40-year aged Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale with the producer himself amongst his family's barrels, and you will see the true care put into production of prosciutto and other regional meats. If those experiences weren't enough, the true highlight is the homemade meal made by Alessandro and his family - seven course meal of traditional Bolognese and Modenese cuisine complete with wine pairings. It was nothing short of incredible! I would have paid double for this experience, no joke. Don't miss this experience!

One of the best food experiences I've ever had and probably the highlight of my trip to Italy. Alessandro was a fantastic guide through the Parmigiano Reggiano factory, the balsamic vinegar producer, and the prosciutto factory. The food was delicious and plentiful—just when you think it's done, more arrives. Highly recommended, and I will 100% take the tour again next time I'm in Bologna.

Alessandro was the best guide. He brought the group together and was such a great performer, really outgoing and made the day so much fun. The 3 main events - the parmiggiano reggiano factory, the balsamic vinegar vineyard with breakfast, and the Palma ham cured meat factory followed by lunch, were all spectacular. Fascinating to learn about these artisans and their crafts, followed by delicious samplings of their goods. The space for lunch, Alessandro built during lockdown. The vibe is great, the pasta was freshly made by his girlfriend, and the wine was free flowing. It all ended in a dance party! Honestly, a joyful introduction to the delights of Bologna. I can’t recommend it enough!

Best food tour I have done, hands down! I learnt so much about the wonderful traditions and history of the Emilia-Romagna region, as well as tasted amazing, quality food! It feel so special to experience up close how parmigiano reggiano is made, the centuries old family traditions of balsamico di modena, the wonderful prosciutto di parma. Lunch was not only in a beautiful, picturesque setting - the quality of the food and wine was amazing, and one of the best meals I've ever had. Our guide was so passionate about all the traditions and history and I learnt the importance of checking food for the DOP standard! Can't recommend this tour enough and can't wait to bring family and friends back to do it again with me!

Wow, what a great experience! We really enjoyed the opportunity to see Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese being made, along with balsamic vinegar, and the prosciutto processing plant. Where to start? We expected a 1-2 hr car trip to the cheese factory but it was much shorter which allowed for more time to actually take in all the steps to making the cheese. Then off to vinegar making which felt similar to the whiskey/wine making process since they all utilize casks, time and often blending. We enjoyed learning the difference in grades of balsamic vinegar and how do differentiate them. The day ended with lunch at a wonderful country restaurant with an abundance of food and wine. Alessandro was a fantastic tour guide, informative and funny. We purchased cheese and vinegar but there was no sales pressure, it was offered up more as an opportunity. The quality and price made it a terrific value. Thanks to Alessandro and this team for making this the best 1 day tour we have experienced globally. We will be back and highly recommend this tour.
