- RJD020 contributionsEfficient ticket purchase but awful audio guideThe ticket booking and collection was efficient, and there were plenty of reps around to give instructions after collecting tickets. However the downloaded audio by POP GUIDE was a waste of time and I wouldn’t bother with. The sound quality was poor and information useless. You would be best renting a proper audio guide from the reception of the Vatican Museum.Written February 7, 2025
- 628gemmad0 contributionsWonderful tour - worth it!Such a great trip, well organised & fantastic staff. Enrico was our tour guide and was not only friendly but very knowledgable. He gave a great mix of facts and fun and also gave us some downtime on the bus. Enrico was also great offering tips on how to spend our downtime, restaurants to visit and what to avoid. Positano is absolutely stunning, if you get the chance, sit on the right side of the bus and enjoy all the views down the Amalfi Coast. Pompeii is also an incredible site to behold. Such wonderful history & excellent guided tour. Overall a fantastic trip & highly recommended!Written February 7, 2025

- 697leanner0 contributionsGood tourFirstly , the meeting point was easy to find just across from the queues to enter on a set of stairs. We were really disappointed that due to the jubilee, we would not be able to have a guided tour around St Peters. We understood the reason however I'm sure the company would have known about this before hand and could have contac ted people to give them the option to reschedule to another day as by the time you have made your way to the meeting point and are standing with ur headset in its a bit late. We did receive a refund of £15 from a total of £150! Unfortunately we could not visit without a guide the next day as we had plans if we had known in advance we would have made a point of going the day before. Our guide was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. She took her time to explain what we were looking at and answer any questions. It felt very busy and so I can't imagine what it would be like in some of the more narrow areas in the busier months. This is a must do trip on a visit to Rome.Written February 4, 2025
- Anil J0 contributionsTEMPLES OF ANCIENT ROMEThe Roman Forum is visible from Collesium as they are located on the same archeological site and is connected by the road leading to the Forum Via dei Fori Imperiali. The Roman Forum or Forum Romanum, is a rectangular plaza surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient buildings at the centre of the city of Rome. Located in the small valley between the Palatine and Capitoline Hills, the Forum today is a sprawling ruin of architectural fragments of Temples attracting 4.5 million or more sightseers yearly. These ruins houses these Temples for Sightseeing and is a visual delight. The Arch of Titus and Septimius Severus The Temple of Antoninus and Faustina The Temple of Romulus. Vivian and Sergio were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They were always taking the next steps to improve the experience for everyone involved in the tour. My wife and I went to Pompeii and Tuscany with them. The experiences were absolutely incredible! I recommend these tours to anyone visiting or anyone simply interested in learning more about these gorgeous and historic sites. You are bound to have a once in a lifetime tour with some of the most intelligent and sincere guides! If all of those amazing qualities aren't enough to convince you, then please also consider they went above and beyond to meet my strict dietary needs. They provided the best service I have ever received.

Amazing experience. Booked through a 3rd party (Expedia) but the directions and meet up was very clear. Our guide was awesome about keeping us all informed and making sure we knew where to check back in at at each stop.
I wish they said you could swim though we hardly had enough time after eating in Positano. We spent a good amount of the tour on the boat which was so lovely. The coast is beautiful!
Our tour guide was Anna Maria who spoke several languages and was really wonderful. The boat itself was a little late to arrive, making the time in Positano a little shorter but that was no fault of City Wonders Tours. Aside from that, it was absolutely amazing. We left from Salerno and though the boat stopped to let off some people that it ferried to Amalfi, we continued on to Positano. On the way back we stopped at Amalfi. All in all it was beautiful and a full day! Highly recommend.

John, our tour guide for the Amalfi Coast and Positano excursion, was an absolute gem. His passion for Roman history and his extensive knowledge of the Amalfi Coast were truly impressive and made our tour exceptional.
From the moment we met him, it was clear that John's enthusiasm for the subject matter was infectious. He effortlessly blended historical facts with engaging anecdotes, bringing ancient Roman history to life as we explored the landmarks along the coast. His storytelling ability kept us captivated throughout the entire tour.
What stood out the most about John was his genuine care for ensuring we had a memorable experience. He not only guided us through the must-see sights like Positano with expert commentary but also took the time to answer our questions and provide recommendations for local restaurants and hidden gems.
John's professionalism and friendly demeanor made him not just a tour guide but a fantastic companion on our journey. He managed the logistics smoothly, allowing us to relax and soak in the beauty of the Amalfi Coast without any stress.
Overall, our day with John was filled with enriching insights, breathtaking views, and delightful conversations. We left the tour with a deeper appreciation for Roman history and the stunning Amalfi Coast, thanks to John's expertise and passion. The tour of Amalfi Coast was truly impressive and made our day exceptional.

AWFUL experience with the company. My flight was delayed fifteen minutes before we were supposed to take off which meant that we would no longer be able to make our appointment for this tour. I immediately communicated this with the tour company. They would not give a refund or let us reschedule despite being 24 hours in advance. They hung up on us, ghosted us, and now we're out of $1k! Avoid at all costs.

Veronica was a great tour guide, the bus driver was oustanding driver , except he was constantly on his phone which was disturbing, loud. Very disappointed the Amafi Coast boat portion was disappointed due to weather. If we were to before tour started we would have cancelled it.
Sorrento was our favorite visiting area. Beautiful shops and food. Posatono was quite edventureful. Especially getting to the area via shuttle busses due to narrow roads.
All locations and site were beautiful. The drive while in the areas was crazy with all the curves and vehicles.
The bus drive was long. The place we stopped to eat in the morning was nice and breakfast was good. The dinner stop was same place but food was terrible.
Over all I would highly recommend the tour. Veronica was again awesome

Most horrible organization I ever saw - we were stuck on the boat for hours without docking to the main land - no communication whatsoever - the guide was clueless and seemed helpless the whole time. Most people got very sea sick with the waves and there was little support there. We arrived in Positano over an hour late - Amalfi trip was skipped due to us having to leave quite soon. The boats were overcrowded and everybody wanted to leave with the same one - we had to wait an additional hour at the port to find seats there and wasted a ton of time that could have been better spent at the beach.
There was no Limonello tasting - this seemed strategically ignored and we spend a lot of time waiting for the bus to arrive. This was especially hard due to the rain pouring down.
All in all it was a horrible way to spend my last vacation day and I honestly want my money back. For 129€ I got a very stressful day full of unnecessary waiting

Our tour started at 7:20am and ended at 10:30pm; 15 hour tour of mostly travel time. Our tour guide Angela and our bus drive Adengo(sorry misspelling) were excellent. I never saw such precision driving in my life. Angela is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable of the area and more.
My thought on this excursion is to only do one location Amalfi or Positano as we only had limited time in both locations; not enough time to see, shop and eat. It was rough with running to catch the boat on time to get to the next location.
The boat process was unorganized, we were shoved and pushed as if we were corralled as a herd of cattle. I think the group should have gone on the boat as one group to ensure we all got on
I do not recommend this excursion as it currently stands, I believe it needs perfecting, rethink the process.

We had a great time on this tour! Jon was very knowledgeable about the area (and Italian history) and really funny! He did a great job keeping the group on schedule so no one missed any of the ferries. We were able to spend a nice amount of time in each location and didn’t feel rushed. We would love to come back to the Amalfi Coast again in the future when it’s not so scorching hot. He even went above and beyond to go back to a limoncello vendor who forgot to include in our bag a bottle that we had purchased and he delivered it to us before we boarded the ferry back to Rome. What a perfect day!

This is a new trip and it was great! We were a family of 4 trying this trip out for the day after visiting rome. We met our experienced guide Angela at the crack of dawn who was fun, uplifting and chatty. We got on a comfortable coach and stopped off along the way. We boarded a big ferry boat and got time in positano and amalfi..just enough for a meal and small walk about pictures etc. Because its so far from rome you dont get long. Generally more expensive we found in positano so bear this in mind. Amalfi had cheaper street food, pasta slices, sandwhiches etc. at more reasonable prices. It was a fantastic day out, organised well and kept to time. Dont expect to get back till dark as long coach ride, however, but this is what you pay for..a full day. Great value for money and the lemon chello tasting was a lovely touch. Highly recommend to others.

This is a jampacked day tour that truly gives you a wonderful time to explore 2 coastal towns - Positano and Amalfi which have breathtaking views and the Italian culture and local artisans offering beautiful souvenirs to bring home. John as our guide is very knowledgeable and lets us know the cool and important stuff to make our tour experience a memorable one. Enjoyed the ferry ride and walking in these 2 towns.
