      Colesseum walking tour.
Our tour guide spoke great English and was full of valuable information. She was very sweet and covered the sensitive information well with young teens in the group. We learned so much and really enjoyed the entire tour.

      Ancient Rome at your feet
WE took our grandchildren aged 9 and 6 to Roma for the first time and we took this Guided Tour with our guide Giacomo who was incredibly pleasant, funny and knowledgeable. He took us all our the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill and the Forum taking time to explain interesting historical facts and answering our kids questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and we warmly recommend it to other families and tourists in general.

      Choas at the Coleseum
The guide for the Coleseum was helpful however the ear pieces kept falling out as they were a strange shape . This was annoying. It was difficult finding the tour operators so a large flag would help. Overall the whole experience was og chaos with numerous security checks and thousands of tourist jostling and pushing for space.

It was a lovely day but a bit long.
It was a nice day and our guide was terrific! It could have been two to three hours shorter. We finished touring by two in the afternoon and had to wait around for three hours.

Great but too much to cram in one day.
Tahani (Vatican) Maria (Colosseum and Forum) did a wonderful job—very well informed patient and friendly. Doing both places in one day was probably too much in one day.

Lovely Taste of Italy spoilt by unprofessional coach team
We booked an 9 day trip to Italy .It was beautiful and the locals friendly but the whole trip was poorly run.In the 9 days it was not explained that guests would be sat in a coach seat for 2 whole days going to Italy and 2 days returning. There were infrequent breaks and not enough time to move around. Most clients legs swelled up through inactivity. Our Shearings tour guide who took us to the hotel confessed he knew nothing about Italy. The hotel food was very basic (pork or omelette and chips, 2 pieces of lettuce and 2 tiny tomatoes) and the same every night. No vegan or vegetarian options. Coach toilets were locked (unable to use for 3 hours) because staff couldn’t be bothered to empty. Toilet was Rodded then tea and coffee served(fingers stuck inside cups). Driver and workers were very unprofessional and indiscreet- talking loudly about clients who had decided to move hotels as they were unhappy , and making personal comments about them. The price of tours was very confusing - The website and printed sheets varied for exactly the same trip and it was not clear with the price what was and wasn’t included. I loved Italy and the hotel staff were lovely but it was spoilt by the Shearings staff.

      Fascinating and lengthy
It's advisable to take one so you have an explanation of the full history of Palatine Hill, the start of the roman emporium and the desecration, why the Colosseum is called that and reason for it's appearance and history. It was a fascinating tour. Plenty of opportunities to take photos and breaks in the shade. The meeting point wasn't marked out very clearly, which wasn't ideal, and for me the thing that spoiled it was far too many people on it and ignorant Anericans asking stupid questions on things that had literally just been explained to them 10 seconds earlier. Hey ho.

Felt a little rushed at end as they were closing the Colleusum. Sound was difficult to hear at times. Very suitable for younger kids. My 7 year old really enjoyed it and asked lots of questions. My 13 year old explored away by himself with dad as was geared towards younger children. Our guide, Barbie, was very good. She was great with kids and had good English.

Dear Joanne, we appreciate your feedback regarding your experience at the Colosseum with our Gladiator Tour for kids. We're sorry to hear that you felt a bit rushed towards the end due to the venue closing. We'll definitely take this into consideration for future tours to ensure a smoother experience for our visitors. Additionally, we apologize for any difficulties you encountered with the sound during the tour. Your comments will help us improve our audio equipment for better clarity in the future. It's wonderful to hear that the tour was very suitable for younger kids and that your 7-year-old enjoyed it and was engaged with lots of questions. We're glad to know that Barbara, your guide, was very good and adept at engaging with kids, as well as having good English skills. We'll make sure to pass on your compliments to Barbara for her excellent service. We understand that the tour may have been more geared towards younger children, leading your 13-year-old to explore independently with their dad. We'll take note of this feedback to ensure that future tours cater to a wider range of ages. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another visit soon. If you have any further concerns or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out. Grazie mille!

The visit was chaotic. Few internal indications. Friendly staff but of few words. A monument of this kind requires more organization and description
