Took time to answer our questions and give a local insight into her beautiful city. Her love and appreciation of art shine through. I hope to go on another tour later in the year. - Muhammad G0 contributionsVisit from Pegan Rome to Christian RomeIt was a nice experience and literally it felt like we have walked through the history of centuries in no time. The guides who lead the whole event had implacable knowledge of all places and their way of explaining different aspects was amazing. Its always a smart decision to get in touch with the locals to get local insight about any place. This is the body who which provides the best local knowledge about history of Rome.Written June 22, 2019
- Rosaria C0 contributionsThe best way to visit Rome or to discover it again!I took part to two guided tour with them. The first one was about the origin of Rome, from Isola Tiberina to San Giorgio al Velabro Church. It was so charming discover that in the middle of Isola Tiberina there is a navy sculptured in the ridge of the buildings. I passed there lots of times during summer walkings, but never noticed it. That’s the magic of a guided tour: discover details you never pay attention to or you take for granted, and give them a meaning, like the “trivio” at the beginning of Ponte Fabricio” (column made of three joined shapes indicating a crossroad). Second tour was at “Rampa Imperiale” between Foro Romano and Palatino Hill. A nice and fascinating walking during a surprising sunny day of January inside the Foro Romano area, admiring “Il tempio delle Vestali” , the “Oratorio of 40 Martyrs” and the “Rampa Imperiale” exceptionally opened during Christmas Holidays. In both situations the guides were very qualified. Their added value is the passion they feel for their own city and are able to convey to each visitor, either by telling interesting stories about life in Ancient Rome, or by showing on their Ipad pictures of monuments as they were in the previous ages. Time passes with them in a friendly atmosphere, never boring , eager to capture every detail they point out. Once the tour finishes you realize that 2 hours passed very shortly and you’d want more!!Written January 15, 2016
