When we talk about the ancient city of Rome we think that the archeological site is composed only by the Colosseum, Palatine hill and Roman forum. In reality, there is more! The Imperial Forums were part of the complex of buildings of the ancient city, the central area of Rome. In the XX century the area was completely reorganized divinding the famous Roman Forum from the Imperial Forum. Well, we will discover this unknown part during this tour. The Museum shows us all the findings of the area of the Imperial Forum, giving us the opportunity to discuss and learn about this other area, its function and how it developed during the centuries.

      Fantastic Visit
We took a 4-hour private guided tour of the National Roman Museum and the Baths of Diocletian. Martina, our guide, was exceptional. For me, who has a greater background in history, but also for my companion, who does not have a deep knowledge of the subject. She was able to contextualize and give very interesting details, we went through the main works and lesser-known works but with very interesting details. It exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend Martina as a guide.

Tour with Barbie - highlight of our trip to Rome
On our first trip to Rome with our 11-year-old son we were lucky enough to have found Barbie at the recommendation of a tour guide in another Italian city. We took a 3-hour tour of the Colosseum and the neighboring Parco Archeologico del Colosseo which was equally interesting. On this hot Roman day in July, the time flew by as Barbie regaled us with stories of the past and was able to give us the historical and political context to truly appreciate what we were seeing. It also helps that she is a mom and knew how and what to convey in order to paint a picture that would engage not just adults, but children too. As a tour guide, she was also able to navigate the line system and the Colosseum and park which kept our tour flowing, while those without tour guides were not so lucky. This is very important. You do not want to spend your trip waiting in lines or wandering around aimlessly! There is so much to see and without a guide we would have not been able to identify much of what we were seeing, let alone understand the importance of it. When I was planning our trip I felt strongly that group tours would not work for us since my son would be outside the predominant age bracket of the group. Now that I have had this experience, I would highly recommend it, even for couples or individual travelers because you can accomplish so much more, navigate better, and the additional expense is incremental when you account for the total cost of your trip. Remember: your time is your most valuable asset when you are traveling. We booked several months in advance with Barbie and I highly recommend booking as soon as possible since she is highly in demand and the tickets to the attractions must also be purchased in advance to coordinate. Thank you Barbie for an exceptional tour!

      Martina is amazing!!
I cannot say enough about Martina and how amazing our tours were with her! We did the Vatican museum and St. Peter's Basilica as well as the Coloseum and Forum tours the following day. By the end, Martina was one of the family. Her knowledge, explanations and passion are unmatched. Her ability to keep us all on track and engaged was practically magic. There was even a part of the Vatican we wanted to explore further, she gladly obliged and educated us along the way. You can tell Martina put in years of study. Her kind manner and attention to detail was phenomenal. From coordinating months in advance, security tickets and clear instructions, she's the best. If you have a history buff in your group, go with Martina. You will learn so much more. Even the other tour guides would comment to us, "she's the best!" Well, we all agree!!

YOU WILL REMEMBER THIS EXPERIENCE FOR LIFE
If I would have had the possibility to rate it 7 I would have done it. Last night was an extraordinary experience of a fascinating tour in the most beautiful city in the world. The endless passion and knowledge of Rome by Vincenzo captures you and keeps you awake for five entire hours. You get so well connected with the ancient city that you have the impression that Rome belongs to you and you belong to Rome during this time. It is not just a waking guided tour, but much more. History is intertwined with curiosities, past is connected with present (and future), buildings with people, bad with good, … a roller coaster of knowledge and feelings.

      Palazzo Barberini with Vincenzo Spina
On June 1 of this year, Vincenzo took my family around the Palazzo Barberini in Rome. We had just gotten off of a long, sleepless flight and were thinking of calling off our plans, but I'm forever grateful we decided to power through because in doing so, I received the greatest museum tour I've ever participated in. After traveling across 3 European countries this summer and meeting with various tour guides, the guide whom I remember as the most engaging and entertaining was Vincenzo. Though on the verge of collapse from exhaustion that day, I found myself listening intently to his delightful stories of each painting we stopped before. I agree that El Greco is underrated. My favorite part was when he talked about the differences between two portraits of women painted by Rafael (how scandalous). I would have been clueless of the rich lore surrounding me and therefore less informed if not for our wonderful guide. I'll definitely be booking with Rome Tours the next time I visit Italy. Thank you so much, Vincenzo!

      Vincenzo was amazing!
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Rome! The Palazzo Massimo is undergoing an external renovation but do not be put off. Vincenzo, out tour guide was lively, engaging and entertaining as well as providing an essential historical view of the many sculptures and paintings stored in the Palazzo Massimo. You really need to have a live guide to these museums as full of artifacts which cannot tell their own story as a live guide can. Thank you, Vincenzo for an informative but fun afternoon in Rome.

Vincenzo is a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable about art, architecture, and history. Informative and entertaining. We never felt rushed and he adjusted the pace to our needs. He did an excellent job of helping us through crowds. We would highly recommend him. In three hours we received an excellent introduction to Rome.

Roman imperial Tour and Vatican Tour
My daughter and I had two tours with the same guide, Martina, she was beyond lovely and spoke very fluent and ease to understand English. We went to the Roman Forum and the Vatican with her. It was so incredible and informative. She was very patient and understanding. Also incredibly well prepared. My daughter happens to be a big fan of history along with myself and she was asking our guide all types of questions, some not even relevant to our location 🤭 but every question was answered with equal enthusiasm. Would 110% recommend this tour it was worth every cent and more. And absolutely ask for Martina!

      Remarkable Experience gifted by Vincenzo
I will start with one word - REMARKABLE! As a world traveller, I come across tour guides a lot, but Vincenzo blew us away. We were a group of 11. Vincenzo and I connected 9 months before the trip. Every interaction was always nothing but perfect. The tours we had in Rome were nothing short of a theatrical production lead by a historian. We started with the city tour, where Vincenzo shared his passion about the artistic/architectural landmarks of Rome. We continued with Roman Forum and Colosseum, where we felt the landmarks come alive with Vincenzo’s captivating stories. Finally, we may as well receive a degree in Vatican museums and Borghese Gallery as Vincenzo spent generous amount of time sharing the secrets behind the art works. I addition, Vincenzo went above and beyond giving us tips and tricks around Rome including helping us to book the most sought after restaurants. All in all, he was REMARKABLE. True professional, passionate about his trade and absolute admirer of his city of Rome. Thank you from Niagara University in Canada from the bottom of our hearts. Vincenzo, you are a STAR!

Fun Tour of the City Center
We went on a 3 hr walking tour of the center of Rome with Vincenzo. It was a great experience. He’s knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and incredibly engaging. We got so much more out of the experience than we would have if we’d viewed the same locations on our own. Highly recommend!

A memorably enriching, fun and awe inspiring tour
We had an absolutely amazing visit of Galleria Doria Pamphili, full of stories and anecdotes that hands the tour truly memorable. Rome is full of art and beauty, and it can be so overwhelming that it is often hard to retain it all. But with Vincenzo’s incredibile knowledge, his anecdotes and fun way of recounting the history of art, this visit will remain deeply impressed in our hearts and minds. Highly recommended

      Best Roman tour Guide
We went on 2 Private tours (our family only) with Vincenzo: one to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica and another to the Colosseum. Vincenzo was at the exact meet-up place both times, waiting for us. Vincenzo is a walking history book! He is very knowledgeable and makes learning about Roman life, art, and general history a truly fun and interactive experience! It's evident that he truly enjoys what he is doing and is a master of his subject matter. Whatever question we asked, he was able to respond with an informative answer. Vincenzo is very attentive to any needs that you may have on the tour as well. I would highly recommend booking any tour with Vincenzo! You will have fun and learn so much! I am confident that when we return to Rome one day, we will definitely book more tours with Vincenzo!

      Best Tour Ever
Our visit to the Forum with Martina was absolutely wonderful. She was the perfect guide giving us a really helpful over view of the history and precise and excellent explanations of each of the key features. Every question was answered. The visit took around 2 1/2 hours and we both enjoyed every minute. Martina was absolutely perfect. This was the best tour of my life

Vincenzo delivered an amazing private tour of the Palatine Hill and Fori Imperiali. His knowledge is truly second to none; he kept us engaged for 3 hours, shared interesting facts about all the buildings on the hill and in the Forum and giving us a flawless chronology of Roman history. He tailored the tour to his audience and ended it with a beautiful homage to the history of Julius Ceasar who, even if not strictly relevant to the tour itself, is key to the history of Rome and was a personal interest of ours. We had a truly amazing time and will treasure this tour for a very long time. Thank you Vincenzo!!

Vincenzo was a passionate and knowledgeable guide for our family of four. It is no easy job engaging a 14 and 16 year old in the history of Ancient Rome for a FULL day, including the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Pantheon. Vincenzo provided so many amazing and memorable stories in such rich and vidid detail that set the context for the balance of our time in Rome - and kept us talking about the tour throughout our time there. Thank you for the gift of a memorable day in Rome!

    Fantastic tour led by Martina!
Morning, was Trajan Markets and Museum and in the afternoon we went to Rione Monti.
Martina was absolutely tireless in providing in depth information about the art, history and social context while at the same time sprinkling in fun facts about the artists and the roman emperors!
Additionally, Martina was extremely kind and patient in helping my father navigate the Italian online bureaucracy recover his Green Pass that he had forgotten at home.
