I experienced the best tour I have taken in many travels through Europe. It was my first day after arrival and such a wonderful way to come back to Italy. A tour is made special by the guide and Michaele was very knowledgeable about the whole area, the Etruscan history and the ancient city of Tuscania. It was a pleasure to ride with him I saw beautiful Etruscan tombs followed by a visit to the Museum which was wholly different than most, very enlightening about the culture of these mysterious people. Then we went to medieval Tuscania and I was dropped for lunch in a place where no one spoke English! I had the best time as I was seated with four local gentlemen who decided to order for me, fresh gnocchi with a beef ragu sauce and of course a glass of red wine to round it out. Fabulous! After lunch it was onward to two beautiful Basilicas that have lost a lot of their original woodwork but have beautiful mosaic floors and frescoes They are still amazing. The Church of San Pietro was begun in 739 A.D.

We had one minor hiccup meeting our driver--the instructions said to "look for the driver in the same area as ALL private drivers will be waiting for their clients." We did that, but then got a Whatsapp message from the driver saying he was at a different spot where all the ship shore excursions meet. It was resolved quickly, with the driver coming to where we were, but it was still a little annoying. Everything else was awesome! We appreciated the air conditioned van after days of independent exploration in the heat. Our first stop was in a little town called Anguillara, which I wasn't expecting, but I'm guessing it was too early to go to the castle. Lunch was good and the necropolis was very interesting, although we faded early in the heat. Overall would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful post-cruise tour with Stefano RomeCabs! Booking was easy - excellent communication. We were picked up at Civitavecchia, and driven to Umbria, where we did a private wine tasting at a family owned, organic winery. It was amazing! Our driver then took us to Orvieto. During the drive, he gave us some history and information, and suggested a great restaurant for lunch. After our visit to Orvieto, he dropped us off at our hotel in Rome. It was a perfect day. The driver spoke excellent English, was personable, funny, and informative. We will definitely book with Stefano RomeCabs again!

Smooth pick up at cruise terminal and a wonderful tour to Tivoli before our drop off to our airbnb. Our driver was the best. He even went as far as booking a lunch for us at the most beautiful restaurant in Tivoli. What a wonderful and day. We can’t thank you enough.

We had been to Rome previously, and were hesitant to take another tour,feeling that we had seen most of what we thought was important. I'm so glad we decided on this type of tour. Our driver, Franco, couldn't have been a better choice. He obviously knows his way around Rome, and knows some sights to show guests they may have missed, including the "keyhole" and a beautiful stop that overlooked the city. He was informative, and , more importantly, his relaxed style made him very pleasant to be with. Also, he brought us to a really nice restaurant when it was time for lunch. Much thanks to him and your company- it was a very nice day.

My cruise ship cancelled their excursion to Ostia Antica, leaving me in dry dock so to speak. That turned out to be a good thing though when I booked it with stefanorometours. Instead of a busload of travelers, it was just the driver/tour guide and myself. Having already done the Rome city thing before, these sites are also historically important and more like cities of the dead. Amazing to experience. I had a great day with Andrea, who was punctual, friendly and very knowledgeable. It was a great time and if you have the chance, ask for him when booking with this company.

We used Stefano for transfers from Rome airport to our airbnb in Rome as well as airbnb Rome pick up to the cruise ship. The pick ups and transfers were flawless! They were on time, efficient and professional. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

I have used this agency for ten years and over twenty excursions and transfers. It’s really important that the driver know there area and can add information to boost the experience and every trip this has occurred for us. I very much recommend this agency. Recently I forgot my wallet in the back seat during a day excursion and I called the office, they immediately contacted our driver who found my wallet and returned it to me within twenty minutes. Driver was on time and car was well maintained and clean. Driver was friendly and very informative. He did a great job of planning out our day in a logical order and to decrease time spent sitting in traffic. He got us unbelievably close to each sight in Rome. We had a long day to see everything but we did not get exhausted because of the care our driver took getting us to the best places near each site. Would definitely use Stefano Rome Tours again. This was my 3rd time using Stefano Rome Tours. I think that says it all. I've taken numerous tours over the years with them and each one has been a perfect experience. Herculaneum was fascinating and the climb up Mt Vesuvius was well worth the trek.

We had a moderately conplex request to bring a large group from Cortona to three locations in Rome. Our driver, Orlando, was a total gem. He was friendly, careful with the bags, funny, and just the right level between getting somewhere efficiently but not scaring anyone. This is a difficult balance to find in Italy, so we were certainly glad that Orlando was our driver. The van was clean and spacious. Organizing the trip was easy and I would definitely work with Stefano Rome Tours again! Pricing was competitive as well.

We had taken previous tours with Stefano Rome Tours - once in Rome , so had seen all the main popular attractions so we asked our driver to show us other parts of Rome. After picking us up from our ship,he took us to see St Pauls Basilica as well as the catacombs. He then took us to a local market before taking us on the Appian Way. Afterwards, he took us to the excellent Trastevere area for dinner which had many restaurants on tiny cobbled streets. . Cesare was our excellent driver who was knowledgeable and professional. Would book another tour with Stefano when back in Italy.
