Learning how to shape raw clay, glaze and color it was so fun and therapeutic. Also meeting such lovely artisans, talking to them and learning about their experience added on to the charm of their pottery studio.

It was honestly such a good experience! I was able to make a beautiful heart shaped necklace for my Mom as a souvenir from Rome. The studio is very cozy! My instructor, Michela, was very attentive and supportive.

Cute and fun way to learn about traditional mosaic techniques. Our instructor Nadia was very sweet and encouraging. The atmosphere inside the studio was cozy and artistic! Will highly recommend it to all my friends who ask about interesting things to do in Rome 👌🏼

I have been enjoying the various mosaics around Rome. This experience was wonderful. Nadia was a great teacher. Very patient with us learning this new skill. It was very relaxing sitting down and creating a tile to enjoy at home. I would give it a 6 star rating out of 5 stars.

Derrick was an excellent host, warm and interesting. The artisans we visited were talented, inspiring and genuinely welcoming. We loved seeing their work spaces and watching things happen...we even had some hands on activities to try ourselves! Great fun, and really nice to see a part of the city with a reputation for creativity and art.

A truly unique experience while in Rome. Luisa and her colleagues were very kind and made it a special one. It was fascinating to learn from them about new pottery techniques.

We took our relatively "crafty" 10 year old son. The lady who runs this was phenomenally kind and engaging. We started at 3pm and didn't finish until nearly 6.30pm and felt no rush to leave. Its harder than you think it will be but with practice you get the hang of it. This was the highlight of our son's trip to Rome and we are all pleased with our take home mosaic (an issue with the weight allowance if you travel light!). Locals obviously also learn there are we had someone with us who was clearly far more advanced than we were, it was interesting to see how skills can be developed in this craft. We were encouraged as beginners and this shouldn't put you off, I share more to explain that this is an established teaching environment although very relaxed. I will recommend to anyone going to Rome, Adults too. The parents also enjoyed it!

This class was fun, interactive and not too long (if you have young children)!!! Plus you can sample all the different flavors they offer! Loved learning how real gelato is made!

A good friend and I booked this because of the location (easy to find!) and the price (very reasonable). Danielle was a delight—as it was off-season, we were the only 2 in class. The venue is a precious little restaurant with few tables but delicious aromas and immaculate interior. She had patience, humor and grace as we measured our semolina, tossed in the cage-free egg and mentored us as we wrangled the Atlas crank machine. The result was velvety dough and rich buttery noodles! As they prepared our bountiful lunch she instructed us on tiramisu assembly ( very easy—but don’t jump the gun and eat a lady-finger before you start!) and then—we devoured our meal. Oh my...( and did I mention the glass of Prosecco for starters...?)—a feast we shall always remember. Thank you Danielle—you have our highest commendations!!! One of the best experiences on our trip. Highly recommended for couples, friends and families even with young children. The chef was very nice and speaks good English.

This class was definitely a highlight if not THE highlight of our family’s trip to Rome! Our kids (14, 13, and 10) enjoyed learning about the importance of using the proper ingredients and process to make authentic gelato.
