About
Discover the underground of Rome accompanied by your private guide! You will have the chance to walk the winding underground galleries of the Catacombs of Priscilla, where the Christians were buried. Then continue to the Basilica of San Clemente: you will descend until you reach the Temple of Mitra and a Roman house dating back to the 1st century, just below the Basilica. Please note that this tour includes at least 2 taxi transfers (NOT included in the tour price) to move from one site to another. Photographs and videos are not allowed inside the Catacombs of Priscilla and in the cellars of San Clemente. It is advisable to wear sober clothing suitable for entering the church.

Due guide cordiali e molto professionali mi hanno accompagnato, insieme ad un piccolo gruppo di americani, tutti su montain bike elettriche, attraverso il percorso dell’Appia antica, alla scoperta di catacombe, monumenti funebri e luoghi storici dell’antico impero romano. Per la durata di oltre 6 ore la guida ci ha fornito sempre puntuali spiegazioni storiche e curiosità leggendarie. Attenta alla sicurezza del percorso, gentile ed empatica con ogni componente del gruppo, persino durante il pranzo ( compreso nel tour) effettuato in una trattoria sotto uno storico acquedotto romano, ci ha stimolato nella conversazione per farci familiarizzare l’un l’altro. Tutto lo staff, dai meccanici delle ottime bike ai ragazzi dell’accoglienza sono stati sempre gentilissimi e professionali. Il tour al quale ho partecipato è solo uno tra quelli proposti ma sicuramente troverò il tempo per partecipare anche agli altri. Grazie a tutti i componenti dello staff per la bellissima giornata che mi avete regalato.
