Inexpensive transport to the airport; chaotic boarding
I made a reservation on the 5:30 a.m. bus from Termini Station to the Rome airport. I made the reservation the day before our flight and had no problems. I waited that late as I was trying to see if I could take a train to the airport instead, but the timing didn't work out. The advantage of the train would have been that you have assigned seats and relatively orderly boarding. The bus stop for this shuttle at Termini is about 300 meters back on the right side as you face the station. They have a sign. There are at least 2 other shuttle stops in the same general area. We arrived at about 5:10 a.m. There were already about 15 people waiting. The crowd continued to grow. At 5:20 a.m. the bus arrived and there was a general scrum of people trying to board. I was seriously wondering if we'd get on. Given the prevalence of pickpockets around Rome (especially where crowds press together), I'd remove any valuables from your pocket before you prepare to board. To be fair, there wasn't a lot that the driver and assistants could due to make boarding that much more orderly. A lot of the responsibility falls on the passengers. The staff did make it clear that they would need to check tickets and would give first preference to those who had made reservations online. So I think you can still buy a ticket even at this point, assuming there is any space left. On our bus, it appeared completely full. We did manage to board after storing our bags in the luggage space they made available on the exterior side of the bus. After that, it was great. The bus left on time at 5:30 a.m., proceeded through relatively light traffic (by Rome standards), and arrived at the airport in about 30 minutes. The estimated travel time had been up to 45 minutes. Disembarking was much more orderly. You are let out at the end of Terminal 3 and there is a walk of maybe 250 meters to the access doors. This got us to the airport and was pretty cheap too. However, if I were leaving a bit later, I would look into the airport train/shuttle just to avoid some of the stress.

Efficient and Affordable transportation option from Milan to MXP airport
We recently used the bus to get from Milan Centrale to MXP early in the morning to catch our flight. We booked online ahead of time, and it cost 10 Euros per person. Follow the instructions on the map that is printed on your ticket near the Milan Centrale train station, and then the meeting spot is on the center median by the snack shack where all the buses load. The Terravision spot is the second bus parking spot. When we arrived, no one was located at the spot/stand, but then shortly after an empty bus pulled up, the driver got off and disappeared until about 15 minutes prior to our bus was scheduled to depart. Although we were the first to arrive for our early morning bus, there was no order to the line and it turned into a free for all. We self-loaded our luggage under the bus, and then someone scanned our ticket prior to boarding. We left right on time, and arrived to Terminal 2 just under an hour from departure. We made a quick stop at Terminal 2, however no passengers on our bus got off.

very convenient, just take the qr code or book online. From airport bus station will take you around 45mins to Rome Termini and from Rome Termini, most of the attraction sites like Colosseum, Roman Forum, Sapanish Steps and Palantine Hill are walkable and also convenient to connect by public transport to other sites like Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and to go to The Vatican

Great service, staff was super kinde and helpful. Everything was fast and professional. Ride from city to airport was early (at 4:50) and we came to airport realy fast. Everything is good marked and instructions on the ticket was helpful and useful. One of the best things was that you don't need to print ticket, the staff just scan your QR code.

    Fantastic Rome stay
Rome is a lovely city ! So much to see and the food is delicious. So easy get round Rome ! Very walkable or using the metro system. Just be very careful on the metro for pick pockets and keep an eye on your belongings when you’re sitting outside in busy restaurants.

They overbook, you will miss your flight
They overbook their buses, meaning that you a) lose your money and b) don’t make your connection. The problem gets worse considering the bus only departs every hour, meaning that many will miss their flight.

    Traumatic experience
Upon arrival at Fiumicino Airport we had to wait for 90 minutes for the bus to Roma Termini and catch the third available bus, even though we booked the correct bus based on our arrival/exit the terminal. This was caused by the overbookings and not having enough bus services to comply with the high demand. On our return to Fiumicino Airport from Roma Termini at 04:00, my children had to endure the pushing and shouting of all the people trying to get onboard, again due to the overbookings and not having enough bus services to comply with the high demand. Very traumatic experience.

Quite comfortably the worst decision I've ever made regarding holidays was booking a return airport transfer with terravision. We were emailed to be informed of a change in schedule that would mean instead of busses running every half hour from Ciampino airport we would have to wait around for 2 hours before we could catch a bus. We tried emailing to get in contact about this problem however we were completely ignored by the bus company. Eventually we decided to just get one of terravision's many cheaper competitors that were leaving the airport regularly (I can highly recommend this). Seeing as how we have still not heard back from terravision we are planning on doing the same again for the return to Ciampino as we have not seen one of their busses the whole time we've been on holiday and do not trust them to get us to the airport on time (or 3 hours before our morning flight, which is the best they could do after the schedule change). Do yourself a favour and find one of the many better run, more consistent airport transfer busses for your trip and you will certainly not regret it.

I booked a return trip from the airport to Rome centre for two adults, however ended up not even being able to take this bus! It was advertised to us as a regular bus, however the day before our flight to Rome, I received an email saying that there were timetable changes (but not giving any reason why the timetable needed to change), and it meant that we would have to wait 2 hours and 30 minutes at the airport after arriving in Rome for the bus, which is the last thing you want to do when you've been in airports and on flights all day!
This also meant that we would have had to pay up to a 20 euro fine for being late to get to our airbnb, but of course Terravision did not care about this. So when I received this email about the timetable changes, I asked for an explanation and details, explaining the situation, but they did not respond.
When we arrived in Rome, we got to the bus stop and were preparing our long wait for the bus, but noticed other companies constantly arriving and leaving the airport, so instead of waiting in the hot sun for hours, we were willing to spend extra money to use a different service, which got us to Rome much quicker and more efficiently.
Throughout the holiday we were often in Termini station, where Terravision runs from, because that is where we got the train into Rome every day, and it worried us that we never saw any Terravision buses at the station, but saw other airport busses constantly. The day before our flight back to England, I received another email giving more timetable changes. These changes meant that we could not get to the airport 2 hours prior to the flight, so we decided to use another company instead.
Since then I emailed Terravision explaining the situation and asking for a refund, as I was not able to use their services. This email was sent on the 13th of September 2020, and now it is 1st October 2020 and I have received nothing in response. As many other customers have accused Terravision of dodging emails, and because I want them to know of how they treat their customers, I am now resending this email every week.

Website still selling tickets online even though there are no services. Didn’t get a phone call or email to let me know of this, and there are no signs at the airport saying they are not operating.

I waited at the airport for nearly 2 hours waiting for any of their buses (I had booked for 11:30am bus) before going back into the terminal and buying a public bus/metro ticket (€1,50). I asked the lady at the ticket counter about Terravision and she said they weren’t operating and had heard complaints from a lot of other customers in my situation.

Still waiting to hear back from them after requesting a refund and also after emailing customer service. My return ticket for 4:30am also didn’t show but luckily I had booked a taxi €30 which I was an unexpected expense but worth it knowing I would actually make it to the airport on time.

And then after I returned home I got an automatic email from them asking me to rate them! 😂

My advice is to take the bus and metro combination to Termini instead of travelling with Terravision.

I booked the airport transfer online prior to travel. It wasn't the cheapest on offer but it was the easiest to book online, and the frequency of buses running seemed better than the competitors.

Both bus journeys were on time, the buses were clean and the drivers were cheerful.

Happy customer!

The cheapest, fastest and easiest way to from Fumincino airport to Termini. If you buy it online is only 6€ and bus is every like 30 minutes and in 40 minutes you’re in the city. Good staff and great service!

I had to admit that I had mixed feelings about whether or not we did a good choice going with Terravision after reading quite a lot of negative reviews here, but we had an awesome experience.

Everything was perfect. The bus arriveed on time on both ways (Ciampino-Termini, Termini-Ciampino).

Drivers were nice, but one of them was driving a bit like "formula 1", but nothing to worry about. After staying in Rome for 5 days I learned that this is their style of driving. No one seems to respect driving rules, including pedestrians.

One note: We had our 3yo with us and we didn't pay for a third ticket. In case you have a toddler too.

Regarding luggage, they were safe as the driver was sitting right in the drop-off area.

In terms of look and feel of the bus itself, don't expect luxury as it's among the cheapest ways for airport transfers. They are decent and clean for the money you pay. We didn't had high expectations from the get go.

No bad experience for us. Definitely recommend Terravision! Hope it helps. Ciao! 👋

PS: FFP2 mask is stil required to get board. (22 May 2022)

We arrived from Cyprus to Rome after 23 o’clock to Ciampino Airport and we stayed till the morning. Early in the morning we needed to fly to Finland from the other airport named Fiumicini. It was really easy to take Terravision transfer and also cheap option for me with 2 kids.

No trains at this time, taxi would be quiet expensive. There are also many hotels close to the Termini station started from 50€/night.

The bus from Ciampino to Rome centre was perfect.

However, our booked bus back to the airport from the centre of Rome had broken down somewhere and therefore was cancelled. The next bus was not for nearly another hour which was too late.

We were advised to get a bus from another company (at extra charge) and contact Terravision for a refund. I contacted Terravision’s customer services via email on 10th May and I am still to receive a reply, never mind the refund that I am due. I have sent two follow up emails but still no reply. This is no acceptable and I have been left out of pocket. Avoid this company.

I pointed out on their website that my plane landed between 6 and 10 o'clock in the morning. I had to pay for the ticket to find out that I would have to wait nearly two hours at the bus stop, because they only have one shuttle to Rome in that time range. I stood at the bus stop and watched as all the competing companies made two courses to the city while I waited for the Terravision bus. I can't say anything good about the staff either. But it will be more important for tourists to learn that the seats in the Terravision bus were old and dirty. There was no place to charge my phone. I will never use their services again.

The bus stop was right outside the airport departure/arrivals door and was clearly. The trip to the city centre was trouble free and a good way to get a first impression of Rome. You can buy a return ticket as I did from a small shop just inside the Termini train station
