This taxi company is amazing! We loved our taxi driver he was hilarious and made the journey go so quick with his great humour. Also so reasonable! Would definitely use again as completely reliable.

Terrible customer service. Rude drivers. DO NOT USE THIS CAB SERVICE IF YOU CAN HELP IT. The hotel front desk ordered a cab for us and we were told it would arrive in 5 minutes, when the cab finally arrived, 10 minutes later, they took someone else . Then another cab arrived and took others. After waiting almost 15 minutes, we went back in the hotel to inquire why the cabs were not picking us up, and a 3rd cab was ordered. Once it arrived, the driver didn't speak or understand any English and could understand we wanted to go to the mall. We went back to the hotel for a second time to actually get the receptionist, and she came out to the cab to translate for us. To make matters worse, the driver was on his cell phone the entire time talking very loudly to someone. We had the same issue returning from the mall with the driver not knowing how to get us to the hotel and talking on his cell phone. Rude and incompetent service!!! Pick another occupation if you don't want to interact with people!!!!!

Best taxi service in Rome. Good cars and drivers. Samarcanda is my preferred company whenever I need taxi. Would be good to have more available cars as sometime difficult to find

The driver overcharged me for the ride from my address to Termini Station, with the excuse that the night surcharge applies until 7am. It was 6.44 and the night surcharge ends at 6. I am very disappointed

I booked and prepaid a taxi transfer from Rome to Fiumicino Airport through Samarcanda's website. The whole process was super easy and they WhatsApp'd the taxi driver's details to me about 30 minutes before my requested time. My driver was early, courteous, and helped me with my bags. The ride to the airport was very smooth and since I had already paid, all I had to do was to unload my bags and that was it! I'm very pleased with the service and would recommend it if you're looking for a fuss-free transfer service in Rome.

I made an online reservation a day before travel to be picked up at 1:45 PM from the city of Rome to the Airport. At the day of travel nobody showed up. I called the main number and the answer was I made a reservation at 1:45 AM and not 1:45 PM. I confirmed that I wrote 1:45 PM. They send me another taxi and they forced me to pay the taxi another time. I was able later to dispute the initial charge with my credit card company. I consider charging me twice for the same service is a fraud and they need to upgrade their online reservation to alleviate any potential confusion with the military time versus the AM PM time. I have a feeling that they left this confusion intentionally to prey on tourists coming from US or Asia and charge them twice for the same service. I urge the management to fix the glitch on their Online reservation system ASAP.

Samarcanda 065551 Taxi's were excellent and well priced. We used them to catch an early morning flight from Trastevere to the airport. The driver was early and a good driver. It was a convenient option for us at 4 am and we would highly recommend the service.

Turchese 05 was prompt, friendly and honest for our drive to airport. My husband paid for the ride without realizing I had prepaid when making reservations. Driver could have taken Euros and lest, but called office to confirm. Appreciated his honesty. Would definitely use service again and recommend to others.

Every time I come back to Roma the only company I use to move in Roma and for transfer to the airport is Samarcanda. Not only their cars are super clean and the drivers on time sharp, but also very friendly. Attempted to get a taxi from the Prati district of Rome to Fiumicino airport using the app and kept getting the message that there were no taxis available. Ended up having to take the metro and the train.

I needed a taxi very early morning to the airport. Booking was easy, paid in advance. Taxi driver was nice, car was clean and we were earlier at the airport than expected. It was a bit expensive but time is money.

Booking.com offered us the taxi transfer from the airport to our hotel in Rome. After initial confusion about the pick up point at the airport, we met our driver Valerio. He was an excellent driver, informative, gave us great advice for our trip (which gardens to visits etc.) and was overall enjoyable to talk to. Thanks Valerio!

Pietro D.G. drove us from Rome to Positano stopping for two hours in Pompeii ti allow us to tour the ruins. A long day and he was great. His English is superb having worked internationally for years with business travelers. His driving was safely done and in Rome and Positano the road conditions with fellow travelers requires steady nerves. He arrived early for the pickup at our hotel so we set off ahead of schedule! We arrived at Pompeii 15 min to spare before our timed entry tickets. Finally arrived hotel in Positano just at 1500 hrs as check in began. P is an avid musician so the music in the car was varied and excellent from light rock, blues and jazz…..

Excellent service! We used WhatsApp to order a taxi for our early (4.00 AM) departure to Chiampino Airport. It was very easy, the confirmation came in 5 minutes. 15 minutes before the scheduled time we received a note with the name of the taxi - it was SMERALDO 25. The driver ROBERTO arrived even earlier waiting us, helped us with the luggage. The car was very comfortable and clean. Thank you, Roberto and Samarcanda Taxi! We certainly will use this service!
