This Early Morning access to the Vatican, is the best way to visit the most highly trafficked museum in the world. You and your private guide will enter half an hour before the public opening, with a crowd-beating ticket. You will admire all the masterpieces and the sublime “Last Judgment” by Michelangelo Buonarroti before the crowd arrives, and will enter a room, closed to the general public. At the end of the tour, you will not only understand the Vatican, but will have energy left for more of the Eternal City. Big backpacks, bags and big umbrellas are not allowed inside the site. Remember to cover knees and shoulder before entering the Sistine and the Basilica. Metal detector check cannot be skipped!
Avoid the visit on Wednesday morning, when the Basilica is closed to the public due to the Papal audience. St. Peter’s Basilica might close without previous notice, mostly in Easter and Christmas. The Basilica will be described from outside.
