BEST WAY to visit the Vatican as a Family!!!!! 100% YES!!!!
Valeria was beyond incredible! This tour was 100% worth it to us!!!! She shared with us so much history, information about art, the thought processes of the times, information about Greek mythology, Egyptian history, Italian history, Catholic history, and everything in between! Music, art, history, geography, astronomy, Pagen stories, Christian and Catholic stories - oh my my goodness! I am not doing her justice - she knew everything there was to know! She was so AMAZING to our son - though he was sleepy, and he certainly was - he had SO MUCH ENERGY after the tour!!!! We went everywhere, flawlessly! Valeria went through EVERYTHING with us, I mean EVERYTHING - she knows her stuff! She was 100% on for us - and she was truly incredible! We are a family of 3, and she was flexible to make sure we were cool - hot day in Rome when we toured - she made sure we had plenty of water, restroom breaks, all the things we needed as a family. Truly incredible experience! Best tour of the Vatican for sure!!!! Thank you, Valeria!!!!

Great tour in a lesser known museum, a must visit during a Rome
Sara was an excellent guide. Her experience and knowledge was obvious and consistently was able to keep my 9 and 11 year old engaged. She was able to connect historical artifacts in the museums with the Percy Jackson stories perfectly.

Very Informative, but my kids got bored.
We chose this tour because it looked very kid friendly from the reviews. Unfortunately, for my family, it was not that engaging. This is not to take away from our guide, Julia. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. As an adult I enjoyed the tour, but my children were disappointed in the amount of time spent in the actual Coloseum, which was very little. We spent most of our tour in the Forum instead. My older son did retain some information because my was referencing things from the tour later in our trip, but I envisioned it as something a bit more engaging! The other children in our tour seemed to be slightly more into it than my own children but there was a point toward the end where I could see the kids fading! I would still rate it as a good tour because Julia is a great guide that provided a lot of great information. Just wasn't for my kids!

Nice change from Madonna and child
Whilst this is titled as modern art, there is still artwork which is from the 1800’s but also mixed in with contemporary artwork. The curators have done a brilliant job in bringing old and new together, which works really well. It was great to see art that didn’t relate to religion.

Outstanding guide, excellent tour for all ages!
This is an awesome tour - Bruno was fun and interesting and knowledgeable. Our 10 year old daughter loved it - and so did we. He made it exciting and kept us all engaged. We had rain during most of the tour and it didn’t dampen our experience! Bruno even took photos of us, had costume props, quizzed the kids on fun facts, and gave them prizes at the end. And made recommendations on where to find lunch. He was a delight and we would recommend booking his tour for sure! Very happy.

    Five Star Fun!
The communication beforehand was excellent, with emails, photos of the meeting point and also text messages to ensure where and when to meet. This made it so easy to find Rossella ,our guide and it was great as we had such a small group of only 11 . We got set up with headsets to ensure we could hear every word and we followed Rossella and her trusty sword in the air. We spent about an hour learning the history and how the Colosseum was built, whilst walking inside the ground floor and moving up to the first level. Rossella was informative and had great information, she made it fun and interesting for the kids and we were not rushed. We then spent a good amount of time walking around the interior level whilst she explained every feature and played quizzes with the kids. We had lots of time for photos and any questions. We then moved to the Forum where she re inacted the story of Romulus and Remus with the children and answered every single question we had. We really learned alot and being such a small group was fantastic. We could then spend time in our own exploring if we wanted to. I would give this tour 5 stars, super guide, plenty of time, fun and small group made it a truly excellent morning. Thank you

If you have kids, do this Colosseum tour.
Our guide was wonderful. He did a great job of engaging both the kids and adults. My 13 year old son loved the tour and there were several younger children in our group that enjoyed it too.

    So much fun!
My 11-year-old son has read all of the Percy Jackson books 10x each. But even a kid who just thinks mythology is cool would love this tour. We loved every minute of it. It was a super engaging way to see the museum with children. Donato was our guide, and he was fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour.

Made history much more fun to learn about
The whole experience was very entertaining. We really liked how she involved the people in her retelling of history by making us characters. Alessandra is a great tour guide and very fun and charismatic.

    Kids Favorite Tour in Rome
The kids said this was the best tour they have ever been on! And it was defiantly their favorite tour in Rome. 4 adults and 3 kids aged 10-15. They are HUGE Percy Jackson fans and our guide Simona was amazing. She kept them entertained and did a great job of keeping them interested. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone that is a Percy Jackson fan!

    Great experience
We had a wonderful experience. Marcela was very accessible and guided us on the best availability for our itinerary. Tour day Simona was great and the kids experience was a great way to keep the attention of our 7 year old son. He was engaged throughout the tour and excited to collect points.

    Sweetest Tour Guide
We recently did a tour of the colosseum with Alessandra. She did such a wonderful job of keeping the kids entertained and engaged, while offering historical details for the parents. She is a wonderful guide, and also such a lifesaver: my husband misplaced a bag and she was able to help me locate it and followed up to ensure that I was able to retrieve it. I highly recommend her!

    Fantastic for young kids
My family (with one 6 year old) took the tour with Sara as our guide. She was really great with the kids, and kept them busy and entertained. My son is quite outgoing, so he loved the format and interacting with the other kids, but I could see this being a problem for shy kids.

Exceptional. Highly recommended - not your average tour!
Exceptional tour. Can’t recommend enough. I was travelling on my own and not a typical tour group type’ but wanted to experience Rome from a local, with insider knowledge and stories to bring this ancient city to life. The tour was expensive for only one person (as most travelling tends to be) but worth every penny. Luciano was my tour guide, bright, friendly and enthusiastic. We skipped all the queues and I felt like I was the only one discovering the secrets of Rome. Luciano’s passion and enthusiasm for history was infectious. Quick on the dates and facts and entertaining in explanation this was a tour like none other. Once in a lifetime stuff. I was so grateful for my personal discovery tour, with room for individual requests - even an extra hand to help carry a few shopping bags (though I don’t want to promise this for future tours - do take a satchel with you as there are opportunities along the way to purchase a few souvenirs). I am fit and independent but found the walk from the Pantheon to Vatican (pre- post- lunch stops) quite a walk especially if you’re not familiar with the city layout. So do take your tour guide’s suggestion to enjoy a nice lunch and bite the €10- taxi ride to save your time and feet. Finishing up in St Pedros Square as dusk defends and lights turn on is the perfect finish to a beautiful day. I had a small issue to resolve following the tour and found Alessandro to be prompt, professional and excellent in her reply. Very satisfied customer. Highly recommended for a magical day in this beautiful city. I guarantee even if you not one for history you will walk away learning a lot with stories to relay to others, and a deeper appreciation for this tremendous city.

What an incredible underrated experience! The ceiling of the basilica st ignazio is an absolutely incredible piece of art by Andrea Pozzo. It’s so beautiful. You can spend ages just looking up at it. The sculpture and other art in the church are amazing too

1-26 Church of St Peter in Chains to see Michelangelo’s Moses
Although we felt like we climbed a zillion steps to reach it, we were happy to visit the Church of Saint Peter in Chains on the Esquiline Hill, to see Michelangelo’s Moses. The church is stunning, the stonework amazing, and the statue of Moses and its surround are exquisite. So worth the hike. The basilica originally was dedicated to the apostles, but the popularity of the ‘cult of the chains’ that arose after the supposed chains that bound Peter during his captivity in Jerusalem (kept in a casket) were brought to the church.
