The tour was absolutely amazing I would highly recommend, was made even better by the excellent guide Margherita she was extremely knowledgeable , engaging and also funny she really made the tour for us

We had an amazing tour with Alberto! He was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Highly recommend booking a tour when visiting as it made us realize just how much we had missed out on during our trip when visiting other museums/historical sites without a tour.

It was very interesting tour with Mario! It was live, full of jokes and mutual communication tour. Of course it is a lot to see in such a short perioud of time but Mario did all to make it really remarkable. Thank you City Lights for your good job!

Small group tour with city lights to - day 1 to Sistine chapel - Vatican museum guide Stefana- had a wonderful and unbelievable knowledge of tour - well worth the extra few euro. Day 2 to colosseum and Roman site. Again great guide - unlucky that had heavy rain for half hour. - better off with a tour guide for extra few euros otherwise you will have no idea of the historical background. - Irish guy called Sean Egan Very helpful - would recommend this highly. This company set up a complete trip for my daughter's school group (students and families). After 3 years of waiting, and having been paid in full for over a year and a half, the company cancelled the trip in April of 2022 just 3 weeks before departure. The group was promised a full refund. A year later many of the group members (including the children who worked hard to earn the funds to go), have still not received their money back. As a matter of fact this company won't even return communication requests. Don't purchase anything from them.

Got off to a lumpy start. Booked quite late in the evening before through one of the online booking apps. Turned up ahead of time and waited for our host. No one turned up so called and spoke to Sean. The online 24/7 booking party doesn’t always inform the host someone is booked on. He quickly came to our rescue, going out of his way to get us on a tour asap, or the one we booked but a bit of an upgrade. Tour was great. We did skip the line, and the line was huge. It’s a hugely popular destination and people literally come from around the world to Vatican City. Is it expensive? Well no, not if you want a guided tour around the Vatican, Sistine chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. We later had some other information about other Tours sent to us by Sean and he connected us with some associates who got us on a non guided tour of the Colloseum which was great value and a MUST see site. Overall, it was a slow start but made up for by the best care and attention by the man know as ‘Irish Sean’. If you are coming to Rome,,just book your trips with Sean - he’s probably not the cheapest, but he’s honest, reliable and helpful which is more than you will get if you buy from a ticket tout. We booked this tour before we came to Rome. We were very impressed with the service from Sean he went the extra mile with giving us recommendations for bars and places to eat. Our tour guide Dina was amazing. We ended up getting a private tour. Great being able to skip the queue and Dinas knowledge was second to none . The tour was very informative and she even took pictures of us. Exceptional service and would highly recommend. Highlight of our trip.

Wow! What a wonderful tour. Worked with Maja and Sean for our trip of a lifetime to Rome over Christmas 2021. The trip planning was excellent. All the tours, museums and walks were great. Our tour guide, Erik, was without a doubt the best. His knowledge and insight kept us interested and wanting to see more. All the individuals we worked with were wonderful. I would highly recommend City Lights.

I had a really fantastic time on the City Lights tour with Sean, and our wonderful tour guide Alessandra. A former journalist, she is a font of information - able to answer all the questions you need. Alongside this, she is very approachable, and really appears to enjoy what she is doing. The tour is just perfect for someone who realistically had only one day to explore the Vatican City, as I did. It was smaller then many other tours, although still a similar price, which made it yet more enjoyable too. Rather than meeting at the regular spot, we were asked to meet outside a cafe which made it far easier - and allowed us to get a quick Espresso whilst I waited! Very welcome. If you head to the Vatican City and need a tour, book this one. Highly recommended :-)

Jessica Coppola was our tour guide for the colosseum and everything surrounding it. She was wonderful , highly recommend , she loved her job and it showed in her knowledge and enthusiasm. Great tour

We have done tours of the Vatican a few times...this time was especially nice! We went at the end of November and the museum was nice and quiet which allowed our tour guide to show us more than usual. We were able to stroll through the museum and admire the art without the crowds pushing in on us which made the visit so much nicer. I suggest you travel off season so you can enjoy all the beautiful sites without the chaos!

Having looked at the queue of people going into Vatican City, we were immediately relieved that we had booked a tour that was 'skip the line'. We were able to get in easily with no fuss, as opposed to others waiting for an hour or two (and this was the off season). We had good, fast access to every aspect of the tour which gave us great value for money. Dina was our guide for the morning. She was an exceptional guide and was a wealth of knowledge. She has been doing these tours for 20 years and so she not only knows what she is talking about, but seems to be well known by staff and other tour guides which helped with the smooth nature of the tour. Dina was flexible to the needs of our small group and was friendly and clearly enjoys her job. I would recommend City Lights Tours and would highly recommend Dina as a guide.

Very good tour, yes, you do skip the line as it says. Our tour guide Dina was very helpful and informative. Groups are kept quite small so easier to get around and listen to everything. We had no problem in finding the office and collecting our tickets (we did though do our homework the previous day and knew exactly where to go). The offices are on a side street close to the Vatican where no cars are allowed so plan ahead as you would have to walk there. Highly recommend this tour.

impossible to find location sad waiting space they had a fridge with one bottle of water - just for them, couldn't even offer their guest. A lot of waiting to get started then the lady tore off walking fast, I was exhausted from 13-days in Europe and didn't feel like being rushed about in the dead of heat without even an offer of water. I walked off. See ya! Waste of time.

We had two separate English-speaking tours with this company. Both were outstanding. One day, we toured St. Peter's and the Vatican with Micaela (sorry, if I didn't spell her name correctly). She was great. We had some younger children (3 & 8), some teens, and four adults. She was so mindful of keeping things interesting for kids and giving the adults the information they needed. She answered all of our questions and kept us together in the crowd. On day 2, we toured the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, & the Forum with Richard. Richard also did a great job of engaging the kids and their parents. He was very knowledgeable and seemed truly excited about sharing information with us. It was truly enlightening.
