I would 100% recommend doing this class! We stayed in Rome for 3 nights and this was by far the best night of all for several reasons.
A. The class is excellent and the staff that teach and guide you do a brilliant job and are also very friendly.
B. The price is so worth it for what you get. Making tiramisu, pasta, a glass of wine, limoncello and of course the best bit, eating the pasta in an amazing sauce!
C. The people you meet. We had a great class and met a range of different people from the UK, US and Australia. We stayed at the restaurant and had drinks together after all from this experience.
Highly recommend and would advise doing the 5:30 booking as you then eat around 7:30 which was the perfect time for us!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this tour. It was well done and was almost 3 hours so you get a good amount of activity for what you are paying. The pasta was actually delicious as well. The chef does a good job of trying to interact with the group and assisting. I do think it’s a bit overpriced, but still really fun and worth it.

A must experience for couples or families!
Super easy to find, located at the piazza - inside the Gusto restaurant, we met there Maria who was the chef for the class.
Had a class of four people including me and my GF.
Excellent English, explained everything and of course checked if we had any questions or concerns.
Started of with the dessert, and then went to make our pasta, while explaining the differences of all and what sauce goes with what kind of pasta
In the end while they cooked the pasta we sat down, had a glass of wine and enjoyed everything!

It’s a great idea, making your own pasta and dessert in beautiful Rome. The reality is you make two of the cheapest things for €60 per person - which might be balanced out by the experience, but we had late joiners, I think 24 people which meant squished table room. The smallest amount of wine and limoncello at dinner (I don’t expect loads, just a normal serving, even by Italian standards, was expected). The instructor was engaging and likeable but they need less people enrolling at the same time (especially in the summer heat) and it’s definitely over priced for the ingredients per person if you’re not getting an enjoyable (breathable) experience.
We made tiramisu and you make this as a group at the top table so with 24 people, only so many will be involved or get a decent view, then we made fettuccine as individuals at a long table, which ordinarily I’d say is good craic but too many people at the table during our experience so elbow to elbow and rolling on other peoples boards and all 🙈. Then we choose what topping we want on the pasta from i think 3 choices and it’s served to us outside where we ate as a group (that part was the most enjoyable as it was the only time we could turn and talk to each other). Everyone had the same view and the wine was issue as was the limoncello post dinner, a half measure maybe at best on both counts. That being said, nice instructor, location, clean work area and nice restaurant if you want to engage in a bit of Italian cooking this place is probably the most user friendly. I had checked others at the time and further out of the city, more expensive and cooling was more of a demonstration than interactive so I’d recommend this experience.

Had high hopes but this was honestly a huge disappointment. Class sizes are huge (50+) and there is very little personal attention. The instructer will run through it very quickly at the front and you’re left to your own accord. We were crowded around a tiny table where we couldn’t see anything for the tiramisu portion of this class, others made the product and we were desperately trying to hear or see what was going on. The instructor Jessica was not very willing to help or make sure anyone was taken care of. It is clear the team here does not care about the experience they’re providing, but more so trying to fill as many seats as physically possible. The class boasts “one on one instruction” but this is absolutely not the case. The space is also much too small and unorganized for the classes run. A glass of wine is included but it is not even a 5oz pour. You make your pasta and it is delivered to you, you have a choice of two sauces (not multiple like written in the description) and no choice on pasta shapes or sizes. We were pretty sure they just batched everyone’s pasta together so you don’t even get to consume what you make. Not worth the price at all in my opinion, I had previously done a class in Frascati for half the price with much smaller class sizes and much more attention to the students. Do not waste your money when there are so many better options.

Thanks for your review, unfortunately we do not agree with your words. We cannot do groups of 50 she is writing wrong information, 2 chefs for each class of 15/18 people! We are in high season!

Starting with the positives, our instructors were fun, engaging and informative. However the experience otherwise was only okay. There were nearly 40 of us split into to groups, crammed into a hot room, making pasta on a low table. The pasta is only as good as the sauce and unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to make the sauce! Would have been really nice to actually learn how to make Cacio e Pepe as opposed to making pasta and someone else boiling it and making the sauce.
Considering this is a ~$60 experience and most restaurants charge less than $15 for Cacio e Pepe, do yourself a favor and just go to a restaurant.

Our class was scheduled on Jan 1. The city was complete chaos. We tried to get a taxi for 40 minutes. Decided as a last ditch effort to take the bus and we couldn’t get across the street to catch it in time and watched it drive away. It was a disaster. Total bummer that we missed the class since I had booked it several months ago and my daughter was super excited to do it.
I reached out to the owners and let them know what happened and requested a 50% refund or a chance to attend a class the next day. Here’s where the 1 star comes from. I got a message back mid-afternoon the next day saying that we could attend the 7:30pm class “with a little penalty of 20 euros per person.” I tried sending multiple messages and phones calls to ask why it would cost an additional 40 euros for the two of us to take the evening class. I was hoping the owner would say that it was a different class because otherwise that’s just PURE GREED! Honestly why would we be “penalized?” What happened to human decency and understanding?! I already paid almost $130 for the 2 of us to make pasta, now they want another 40. Needless to say they never responded.
Happy New Year. Here’s to pure greed and being a jerk!
I would recommend another class where maybe the owners have a little more compassion and understanding.

We are very sorry for yours mishap and for the fact that you missed the lesson. we know that Rome is a mess on holidays, in fact we always wait 15 minutes for all the participants to arrive. At your request to rebook for the next day we asked 20 € as a fee because the classes were already fully booked. For that reason we must add a second chef, which implies a cost increase. We renew our regret for what happened but every company in the world has its own policies relating to last minute cancellations or modifications.

We did this wonderful activity last Saturday, for a bachelorette party. The cooking class was very well-organised and pleasant. Maria, the guide, led us towards our objectives with calm and plenty of enthusiasm. She was extremely kind and at the same time very professional, answering to every single question we had and helping us whenever she could. We would recommend this activity to anybody: families, groups of friends, bachelorette parties, etc.: it will be a success!

Very basic class and the the taste of the pasta and tiramisu are awful. The tiramisu was soggy because there is no time for it to be properly chilled. The quality of ingredients are poor.
Making dough and rolling the pasta was fun, but there is no conditioner in the room and there are 22 people in the room. You just roll and cut your pasta, you don’t cook sauces or boil the pasta. Everything is made in the kitchen while you are sitting at the table. The sauces are terrible, it’s the worse pasta I ever it in Italy.

What an experience! I am someone who prioritizes excursions and activities over anything on trips and this one surely made Rome memorable. I went with 10 of my girl friends and it was such a fun time. We were taught by Tommy and he was playful, charismatic, and just sassy enough to keep us on our toes. The food was delicious and we would recommend this class to anyone. Ciao!

Is there alcohol in the tiramisu? Is there an option to not put alcohol in it and make non-alcoholic tiramisu?

Hi Nacima, yes of course there is alcohol in the original Tiramisu, but today you have non alcoholic alternatives - so no problem this is possible !!!
Will we learn how to make the sauces and prepare the sauce as well or are the sauces pre-made/instructor-made?

Sauces are already made. This takes place at a restaurant, so assume also made for the restaurant.

I don't have an answer for that. I think one of the people in our group needed gluten free pasta but she was with a group and just didn't make the two items. She dined with all of us following the class but I can't recall what she ordered/ate.
