About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- tatsurok5600 contributionsWorst tour company. Do NOT book.Do NOT book this trip! It’s a scam. I booked through Viator for a plan with a guide. During the tour, I was told that I did not book with a guide and had to pay for guide onsite. Later I filed a complaint and at first they denied this, and then later they refunded me for the amount I paid onsite which was 15 euros. The tour fee with guide was around 60-70 euros higher so you can see that they were ripping people off from the beginning. Also, you can’t communicate with this company. I told them days ahead that my hotel had changed but they would not respond. After several attempts they responded that they will pick me up at my old hotel. After texting the driver it was updated to my new hotel. The driver is nice but does not speak English so need to chat over his phone app. The phone number and website they provided was not working so there is no communication line. The plan is mentioned as 11 hours but it was 13 hours. Also it mentions Pompei, Positano, and Amalfi but you only go to the first two.Written December 3, 2024
- Fabio V0 contributionsFlorence and Pisa lovly cities.excellent organization and wise management of the route. A beautiful experience we recommend. Florence is among the most beautiful cities in the world but Pisa also has its exceptional monuments.Written November 30, 2024
- diannao3580 contributionsVery disappointed!I never received the message from the tour operator about change of pickup because I’m on a cruise ship and internet was not working. We arrived at the pickup time in plenty of time but either the driver left without us or didn’t show up. We missed our excursion. I tried to call the local tour operator with no success. I did receive a phone call from the driver and I spoke to him but was unable to determine what happened. We had to make other arrangements to get to the Vatican and had to purchase tickets. I’m very unhappy with my the service.Written November 28, 2024
- 192annel0 contributionsDO NOT USE THIS UNRELIABLE COMPANY!DO NOT USE THIS UNRELIABLE COMPANY. This company canceled, not one, but two transfers 24 3/4 hours out. One transfer belonged to us. The other was our friend's. In this company's email to us, they offered no reason. Fortunately, we saw the email right away. This left us, while currently in the middle of another excursion, scrambling for a new plan. Our friends didn't find the email until the last minute. We booked through Viator and contacted them. Viator couldn't reach them for an explanation. This is not the experience you want on your vacation. No one wants to wonder if the company they are dealing with will actually come through with their promises.Written November 10, 2024
- R7328DQpeterr0 contributionsDO NOT use these transfers. We used this service in October 2024. WOULD NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!!! Driver picked us up early (6 x 70 yos with major heavy luggage) from cruise port, 20 minutes early. Trip to Rome OK. Then he dropped us 45 minutes walk to our hotel over cobblestones with our bags to drag, horrid end of trip. We tried through Viator to have a refund when we returned to Aussie, no help from them. Refund denied as he said there was not access to our hotel. We had another transfer from our hotel in same sort of vehicle to airport when we left. Truth was, road was blocked due to marathon, which he knew about when he picked us up early. ("every sunday") This cleared 20 minutes after he dumped us, so he could have waited or offered some assistance to drop luggage later. Sadly have used Viator many, many times, will consider other sites in future.Written November 7, 2024
- thememorymarket0 contributionsHighly recommend this tour even if you’re not a fan of the book or movie. This was such a great walking tour. We loved all the references to the novel and movie, but simply getting to spend the morning with a local in such a small group was awesome. We asked a million and one questions, and Felice was very knowledgeable and courteous. It was like hanging out with a friend. He even took us to his favorite espresso bar.Written October 31, 2024

- Peter C0 contributionsGreat tour and guideVery interesting. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I would highly recommend and even do it again based on her knowledge and pass for Roman history.Written September 14, 2024
- SeaGB0 contributionsA failure of serviceThe car did not meet our flight. When we called to ask what had happened, the company offered to send a car two hours later.Written July 23, 2024
- 614charlesb0 contributionsHorribleAbsolutely do not sign up for this tour. The guide was not at the meeting point at the designated time. On our way back to the Hotel I received a call that the guide was at the meeting point. We met the guide - who spoke really broken English and did not know the city of Venice at all. She used here eye phone for both directions and information. I knew more about a couple of sites than she did - when we could understand her. We said goodbye after 30 minutes of what was supposed to be a two hour walking tour. Romaetravel refused to refund my money and they were rude. Do not sign up for this tour.Written May 8, 2024
- Tour612030449180 contributionsGreat family trip history lesson for the kidsWent there on a day tour from Rome. I love Roman history and enjoyed this trip a lot. Get a local guide at Pompeii - it’s worth the money! Bring lots of water and sun protection. Positano is beautiful but crowded with tourists. The trip from Rome is long - set your expectations accordingly.Written April 18, 2024
