A great ride outside the crowds of the city center. Our guide Nico was knowledgeable and personable. We had been in crowds walking the city and touring sites for three days. This was a great way to capture off our trip.

Fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and considerate. Saw many great things with Daniela! The e-bikes worked well…need a little getting used to but definitely cool morning experience.

Daniela was amazing. Fun times!!! The experience was more than i imagined. The scenery was beautiful for the ride. Not much time in the city with all of the traffic. I would definitely recommend. Make sure you’re in shape somewhat though.

Finally got to do a tour of the Appian Way, which I have always wanted to do! The tour was very exciting and so much fun! Our tourguide Nico showed us beautiful landscapes. His explanations were rich and yet perfectly clear - we could tell, that he has a degree in ancient history! A great, adventurous tour in the green parts of Rome with a great tour-guide!

Niko was a great guide with a wealth of information told in an engaging style. The ride was through scenic and historic areas that wouldn't be viewable most any other way.

Flavlo was awesome. This is a great tour if you want to get out of the main city and learn more about how Rome became Rome. You want to see the countryside of Rome? This is your tour. The bikes are good quality. The tour guide is an expert who will give you more information than you can possibly expect. Do this tour! It is fun and worthwhile!

The bikes were good for rental E-bikes; good brakes, helmets, smooth gear shifting, hydraulic for bumpy cobble riding. The guide was beyond fantastic: Lorenzo, young kid with lively coloquial English , big sense of humor and eager to tell a lot of history. He gave the group of 7-8 confidence to get through some tricky city intersections, told us what boost to use getting up steep hills, then took us out on a long ride along the aqueducts and back down the Appian way. It was like being on a movie set. Maybe 25 K total. Lorenzo did enough stops so no one looked wasted afterwards. He also showed tremendous calm and good management during a minor accident. If your tour starts at 9:30, come at 9, get a coffee around the corner, and get fitted for your bike. I'd start a multi-day visit to Rome with this; you look down across the city from the high level parkland and see domes sticking up here and there.

This was a highlight of our trip to Rome! It's a great way to get a break from the busy tourist areas and explore sites that would be hard to see by foot/car. We were worried about biking in Rome traffic but they take you on side streets and bike trails for the most part so it wasn't bad at all. Our guide (Valencio I think?) shared a ton of information on the overall history of Rome and details on the Appian Way, Mausoleums, aqueducts, etc. He even brought printed visuals to better explain. We booked the long version of the tour with the catacombs and picnic included. Both were well worth it! You're not allowed to take pictures in the catacombs, but it was pretty incredible to see and a more extensive tour than I expected. My only warning is that you will have sore bums after biking on Roman cobblestones... Thankfully they give you a gel seat cover to alleviate this a bit. Other than that, the e-bikes make it an easy journey for anyone that knows how to ride.

Great way to see the city and experience the old Roman highway. Our tour guide was good and introduced us to important monuments along the way.

Friendly, flexible, nice bikes, engaged tour guide, wonderful route. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone wanting to get out of central Rome and experience some of the gorgeous sites just outside the city center.

The tour guide Lorenzo was great, however it is much cheaper to book direct with Roma Starbike ebike tours than with TripAdvisor. Although we originally search with Australian dollars, when we chose the tour in TripAdvisor it charged us in US dollars costing 43 Aud per person extra, very disappointing that we used TripAdvisor. The provided lunch was just a sandwich with tomato paste and jam biscuit with water which was an extra 20 US dollars, these sold instore for just 5 Euro.
