- Cal-sier0 contributionsReally fun, interesting, and delicious experience! We are so glad we did this experience! Easy to find the meeting point. Chef and helper were extremely friendly and was the best pasta we had in 3 weeks in Italy! Also accommodated our gluten free member. AMAZING!Written July 22, 2024
- Wanderer7850230 contributionsI highly recommend this workshop!the workshop was really great-chef Fabio was such a good host, very knowledgeable, patient and full of passion for the Italian cooking- we learned a lot and heard a lot of interesting stories. - 471jonahp0 contributionsOne of the most fun travel days we’ve ever had!If you are considering this tour—especially if you have kids who are cooking curious just do it. It’s worth every penny! We had a farmer’s market cooking class with Chef Max who was exceptional. Chef Max was engaging with our whole family and literally planned a menu for us, on the spot, to match our dietary restrictions, our kids likes and dislikes and what was in season and available at the market. It was masterful and so much fun. Once we got to the kitchen, Chef Max helped us prepare a four course meal that was easily one of the best we’ve had—but all simple and homey enough that we can recreate it at home. The time flew by with lots of laughs and Max and the other staff member taught us to do everything but also kept the cooking moving. And then we ate and drank and it was glorious. My kids said it was the best food of their life. Strongly recommend this class and Chef Max who is a star!Written June 13, 2024

- Lisa H0 contributionsFun, educating and deliciousMy husband and I had so much fun cooking with Marco. Marco was very patient and an excellent instructor. It was so nice to pick out the pasta we wanted to make and selecting the sauces to accompany them. I can’t wait to come home and make the carbonara sauce for my sons. Everything was so delicious. The facility is extremely clean and the ingredients were fresh. At the end of class, you eat your food as if you’re in a restaurant.Written May 27, 2024
- bonniesB4976CP0 contributionsPasta & Tiramisu ExtraordinaireWow, this was fabulous! I make pasta at home but this will take me to a whole new level. Sara first took us through making tiramisu and then we made both tagliatelle and ravioli filled with ricotta. It was completely hands on and Sara communicated with our group of four in Italian, English and Spanish! Having expressed a particular interest in filled pasta, Sara took a moment after we prepared the ravioli to demonstrate for me the technique to create other filled shapes that I could try on my own at home. For the ravioli, we used dried flowers and small spinach leaves which we imbedded into the dough to dress it up a bit. So fun! The tiramisu was easy to make and completely decadent. Everything was absolutely delicious and I recommend Sara and InRome Cooking Classes with the highest of praise. This was my second class in one day; my husband and I took the small group master pizza class earlier and it was so incredible that I jumped into the Pasta and Tiramisu class an hour later. The location at Piazza Navona and the bright and cheerful kitchen set up can't be beat. Don't miss this cooking school while you are in Rome!Written May 18, 2024
- bonniesB4976CP0 contributionsPerfect Pizzas! We have a wood burning pizza oven at home but honestly haven't been thrilled with our results. Seeing as how we absolutely love the Roman pizzas, we decided to try this class. We cannot recommend it and InRome Cooking highly enough! The kitchen is bright and well appointed, located at Piazza Navona. Our pizzas, quite honestly, were the best we had eaten our entire trip! The class and team there were so fabulous that I signed up for another course beginning an hour later, right there on the spot! This school was one of the highlights of our Italian vacation.Written May 18, 2024

- 757phillipy0 contributionsFun afternoon in RomeSarah was our instructor for this class on 26 Feb. It was a fun class and very informative. She is certainly an expert on this style of cooking and gave "multi consigli". It was a hands-on class so it really made a difference than just standing and watching. I rated the class 5 starts, if I could give Sarah 6 stars, I would. If you're a foodie, you must take this class.Written February 26, 2024
- Y3145NVkimb0 contributionsRome cooking class experience A+We had a wonderful time making pasta, tiramisu, and getting the food from the market. Sarah was very friendly and gave us a lot of great advice along the way. Mamoo (hope we spelled that right) that assisted her was great also and made sure we had what we needed as we went along. Everyone that we interacted with was very warm and we would love to do this again if we come back. The food we made was the best we have eaten and we get the recipes to go try at home. Win win! Thank you for all of this.Written January 15, 2024
- DCTimmy0 contributionsSO MUCH FUN!Chef Alessandro was the perfect farmer market tour guide, educational chef and all around great guy! - johnzN5500OU0 contributionsAmazing private cooking lessons! We spent two amazing weeks in Italy, and the family picked this as their absolute favorite activity. Our teacher was wonderful at engaging everyone from a confident 5 year old to a 43 year old without much cooking experience. The food was amazing, and I felt like we really learned a ton. Would do it again (maybe pizza?) in a heartbeat.Written November 27, 2023

Sarah and her assistant were amazing!!! We had so much fun learning how to make gelato and pizza. The class was very personable, hands on and the food was delicious. Small, quaint, interesting and fun. We started with appetizers and Prosecco before making gelato and dough to create a pizza to be enjoyed as a sit down dinner with wine. I would recommend for anyone that wants to meet lovely people from Italy, enjoy a home cooked meal and learn more about this fantastic city and its food.

We had a great time at the pizza and gelato class. Chef Marco is so knowledgable and friendly, the class is fun and informative and the space amazing! For all of your Ooni pizza oven owners, Marco provides all the tips and tricks to really hone your backyard pizza game. The small batch gelato we made was one of the best I have ever had and is easily replicable once you get home that will amaze your friends and family. Highly recommend this class!

My wife and I booked a pizza and gelato making class with our two granddaughters
the week of 24 October, 2021. The girls are 4 and 7, adventurous in their own kitchen at home. We had a blast. The instructor could not have been friendlier, or more helpful with us and the girls. He walked us through both the gelato class, making and rolling out the pizza dough. Our reward was eating what we'd made, washed down with red or white wine for the grandparents. There was one other couple in the class, and I believe we all felt we received the attention we needed.
We would certainly do this again, and we highly recommend it for anyone wanting to hone their pizza chops. Embrace the idea of including your kids. They will feel rewarded. For reference, the class we took was located adjacent to Piazza Navona.

If you like to do something different on your vacations, I highly recommend signing up to do a little cooking and lots of eating with Davide and team at InRome Cooking class. Great experience start to finish: We booked through “Walks Inside Rome” and that was easy, the location, though a little tucked away, was right where they said it was and clean/pleasant/away from the foot traffic, the class was super easy (the provide the ingredients pretty much ready to prepare, you build it out, the cook/freeze it, then you eat it as a group at the end, and again, the staff was great. Younger kids were in our group and they had fun.
Break up your walking around the city and do something different.

The experience was great as we started doing a gelato and drinking some nice Prosecco. It was quite simple as the ingredients were ready so it was more the mixture and consistency. Right after we started doing the pizza. This was great as we prepared the pizza dough then we went to Piazza Navonna and came back to open the pizza dough and put all the ingredients. In the end, kids loved and we too!

This was a really classy and enjoyable cooking class. Marco is an excellent teacher and has a deep knowledge of traditional Italian cooking from the culinary to the nutritional. We had some fascinating conversations and got hands on making the ice and pizza. The ingredients are of a very high quality and they are very hospitable. You eat in a beautiful dining room with historic features - befitting of this beautiful city. I've come away with lots of tips and can't wait to recreate the menu at home. Honestly cannot recommend this highly enough. One last thing, the food you make is delicious.

The chef Davida was great and explained clearly what we needed to do. He made gelato and pizza making easy. Everyone was hands on with this cooking class. Was very helpful and fun. But what I really loved about this class was that he was explaining the true Roman pizza making and gelato. But realized that the majority of the attenders are Americans or Canadian so he brought out ingredients that Americans /Canadians would expect. Except, of course, pineapple.

We signed up for a pizza and gelato class. They changed the menu and we were told they sent an email telling us about it. However, we did not have the internet at that time. I was extremely disappointed.
We literally walked around the corner and found another cooking class called “IN ROME COOKING”. It was simply amazing. Once everyone in the small group arrived we went to the kitchen. There we were greeted with some of the best champagne I’ve ever tasted. And, they did not limit us to one glass. The instructor was very extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Once our pizzas were cooked by the staff, we were taken into a dining room with cloth table linens where we were served our pizzas and gelato. I highly recommend that you contact IN ROME COOKING and hopefully you can join one of their wonderful classes. This class was the highlight of our trip to Rome. I highly recommend.

My family and I are traveling to Rome over the next few weeks. We would love to do a cooking class. The ages of the kids are 9, 12, 16, and 18. I believe the class starts at 6pm? So we go and prepare and then eat dinner.
Does the age of the kids sound like it will be a good fit.
Thank you,
Kim
