We just finished a class with Chef Roberto and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. We have four children between 5-10 years old and he made the class fun for the entire family. Roberto was patient and engaging with the kids and kept the adults entertained with stories about his experience as a private chef aboard yachts. The pizza we made was the best we’ve eaten in Rome and Chef Roberto taught us a gelato recipe easy enough to repeat at home. If you’re looking for a fun experience for the whole family I highly recommend inRome Cooking.

In Rome Cooking has multiple enchanting locations around the city. Ours was a charming studio that fit in perfectly with the rest of the streetscape, making us feel like residents cooking in our own kitchen. With elegant interiors, good music, and a spacious kitchen setup, all of our senses were thriving from the moment we walked in. Marco, our chef, was always smiling and truly accommodating to everyone. We had one too many people for the cooking pairs, so Marco pleasantly prepped a dish with the odd-man-out. The whole staff made the experience seamless and full of sensory goodness. Their serene dining room as the sun went down was an amazing place to enjoy and meditate on the experience, in and outside the kitchen, with our classmates. Can’t wait to take even longer cooking classes next time we travel; hopefully back to Rome for another session at In Rome Cooking!

We had a great time at the pizza and gelato class. Chef Marco is so knowledgable and friendly, the class is fun and informative and the space amazing! For all of your Ooni pizza oven owners, Marco provides all the tips and tricks to really hone your backyard pizza game. The small batch gelato we made was one of the best I have ever had and is easily replicable once you get home that will amaze your friends and family. Highly recommend this class!

I see no room for improvement! This cooking class was so much fun. The chef and support staff were fun and knowledgeable. They were personable and so so helpful.
We were so grateful to get in from the heat of the day and we were welcomed with water, prosecco and tasty bites. The class was easy to follow and we laughed a lot!

My wife and I booked a pizza and gelato making class with our two granddaughters
the week of 24 October, 2021. The girls are 4 and 7, adventurous in their own kitchen at home. We had a blast. The instructor could not have been friendlier, or more helpful with us and the girls. He walked us through both the gelato class, making and rolling out the pizza dough. Our reward was eating what we'd made, washed down with red or white wine for the grandparents. There was one other couple in the class, and I believe we all felt we received the attention we needed.

We would certainly do this again, and we highly recommend it for anyone wanting to hone their pizza chops. Embrace the idea of including your kids. They will feel rewarded. For reference, the class we took was located adjacent to Piazza Navona.

The chef Davida was great and explained clearly what we needed to do. He made gelato and pizza making easy. Everyone was hands on with this cooking class. Was very helpful and fun. But what I really loved about this class was that he was explaining the true Roman pizza making and gelato. But realized that the majority of the attenders are Americans or Canadian so he brought out ingredients that Americans /Canadians would expect. Except, of course, pineapple.

We visited with our 6 and 4 year old boys and we all loved it. The boys were made to feel so welcome and were so proud of the pizza and gelato they made. The chef was brilliant with them and it's still the best pizza we've had in Rome. I can't recommend highly enough for families. Amazing.

Really fantastic experience with Marco, the highlight of our trip. Doubling as our dinner this cooking experience was something to remember, with a very knowledgable and enthusiastic chef.
I would recommend this to anyone visiting Rome as it’s a fun and educational activity for any age.

My wife and I did a Pizza course here and it was fantastic. We learnt how to make two types of pizza - napolitana & roma style. Chef Max showed us how to make the dough (including what flour and yeast to use), sauce and also helped us decorating our pizzas with various toppings. After cooking we were able to try our pizzas with a nice glass of wine.
Max was a really good teacher. He carefully explained every single step so everybody in the group was able to follow.
I 100% recommend doing this course when in Rome, as it allows you to bring Rome back home with you!
We absolutely loved it!
Thanks again Max :)
