- Allasia L0 contributionsThe only way to see Rome with kidsIf you have kids in Rome and you want to see the sights you would be crazy not to book this tour! We were two families with four children ages 4-6 and we knew walking to see a bunch of sights would never happen…. Found Rome4kids offering golf cart tours with a child friendly guide and thought it sounded good. The booking process was easy and they were super communicative from the very beginning to ensure we got exactly what we wanted, working with us on starting time and locations etc. We met our guide, Ilaria, at the designated time and place and went into the Colosseum where she immediately captivated all of the children… talking directly to them but imparting information to the group. It was really quite admirable how she was able to keep the kids engaged while actually speaking to the adults. From the Colosseum we hopped into our carts and spent the next 4 hours whizzing around the city with Ilaria and 2 friendly drivers. There were certain designated spots on the tour but Ilaria also customized it to what we wanted and needed. For example, at one point the children became hungry so we stopped in Trastevere for pizza from a local hot spot. Later, we stopped again for coffees and hot chocolate. And also, even though it wasn’t supposed to be on the tour, we stopped at the Vatican because Ilaria knew we were only in town for one day so she made sure we got to see it. All the while, the kids were having fun and entertained and we got to see everything we wanted in the city. All of us agreed it was worth every penny and that this was hands- down the best way to see Rome on a quick trip with kids., I also think this would be a great option with older family members, or even just a group of friends…. It was fun, informative, and customized to our group. Absolutely 10/10 recommend … and a special thanks to Ilaria for being amazing!Written December 5, 2024
- christinehY223MG0 contributionsGolf cart tour in Rome / Guided Tour in PompeiiWe did a golf cart tour in Rome with Katja and a guided tour of Pompeii with Fabrizio. Both were incredible. Even our teenagers were interested throughout both days. The guides did a wonderful job of making it exciting and interesting for us all. They were probably the best two days of our trip!Written December 4, 2024
- 675barbies0 contributionsHighly recommendWe did the Golf Cart Family Adventure Hunt with Oscar and HIGHLY recommend. This tour was perfect for 3 grandparents (60+), a 7 year old Boy and 2 adults (30+). This was one of our last visits of our holiday, so we were tired and had only 1 day to see Rome- a very tall order. With this tour, we kept our energy up, and were able to see the big sites. Oscar tailored our tour to our requests, kept our son engaged and entertained and was able to share information about the city he very clearly loved. This was worth every penny as we were picked up from our hotel (meaning no metros or walking to find it or be late) and we were dropped off at our next adventure ready to go. I would book again both this company and tour and have recommended to our friends. Thank you Oscar!Written December 4, 2024
- david h0 contributionsFabulous tour!It was my family‘s first time in London and Loretta, our tour guide, was spectacular! We are a family of history buffs, and she had all of the answers and was so knowledgeable about everything we saw, and she was funny and kind. Thank you for a wonderful day!Written December 1, 2024
- CortneyE0 contributionsKid-friendly tour was great! The private tour of the Colosseum and Forum was excellent! Martina was knowledgeable and friendly and interacted very well with my 7yo as well as the two adults. She was able to make an overwhelming amount of history accessible for his age and for ours, and to bring history to life for us. Her English was very good and she seemed to be on friendly terms with many of the local staff and other tour guides we passed. She was kind enough to provide suggestions for additional kid-friendly activities in the area for the rest of our time in Rome.Written November 11, 2024
- rachelfA5872GS0 contributionsA special family day in RomeFrom the moment we met Serena outside our apartment she engaged the children brilliantly and we knew straight away she understood our specific needs (one autistic child with ADHD and one with a broken leg!). We were able to see all the sights and the children loved the treasure hunt! Thanks so muchWritten November 10, 2024
- RogerChengdu0 contributionsNo scavenger hunt that was promisedWe had been promised a scavenger hunt for the kids, but there was no such thing. We had a private guide who got us around all the lines, so on that part they did deliver. However it was just an ordinary tour, hardly tailored for kids. The kids received a booklet with some questions to which the guide basically gave all the answers straight to the kids. Not worth the money.Written October 30, 2024
- B7351KOekaterinak0 contributionsWonderful family time!We had a great time with Silvano who is a knowledgeable guide and knows his way with kids. We were with 2 kids (13 and 8) and both left impressed. The game was interesting and brought the kids through the ancient history artefacts without boredom. It was fun but also very intense and educational. We started at 16:30 and I felt we were the only people in the museum so it was a truly private experience!Written October 22, 2024
- KaraC3710 contributionsGreat tour!We had a great tour with Lucilla! She was very knowledgeable and interacted so well with all of my children even though they are various ages we felt very well informed and had a wonderful morning at the Colosseum and Roman Forum.Written October 21, 2024
- Hana H0 contributionsGreat tour for little childrenOur family of 9, 6 adults and 3 children, 2 three year olds and 1 six year old, did the Magic Castle and scavenger hunt tour, with Viviana, “Vivi”, as our guide. Vivi was terrific! So patient with our little ones and very knowledgeable with Rome history. It was an incredible castle, rich in history and offered some incredible views.Written October 18, 2024
- U2776XOlucyl0 contributionsMartina's tour of the Vatican was the highlight of our truly wonderful family trip to RomeMartina was truly amazing. My 8-year-old daughter, 74-year-old mother, and I were all equally enthralled by her story-telling and depth of knowledge about the Vatican. As I had hoped, Martina prioritized keeping my (very high energy!) daughter engaged from beginning to end, and really managed to form a connection with her from the very beginning. Martina also took cues from my daughter's level of interest in each element of the tour, providing more information based on her questions, or moving through quickly in areas where my daughter seemed to be losing focus. At the same time, my mom and I both learned a great deal as well, and were inspired by Martina's clear passion for her job and for the history and the art of the Vatican. This tour was the highlight of our truly wonderful trip to Rome, and I would recommend it to anyone, but especially families traveling with precocious children!Written October 15, 2024
- R6589IJsophieg0 contributionsColosseum with KidsIt was a really great experience! The children and we had such a great time at the Colosseum. Donatella really made it so nice and interesting. I can only recommend it with all my heart. We will definitely come back and do the Vatican tour. I have already recommended Rome4Kids and Europe4Kids to 2 friends and would do it again and again. A big thank you for the perfect organization and implementation!Written October 7, 2024
- GlobeTrotting2744610 contributionsAmazing! Our tour with Silvano was the highlight of our time in Rome, his knowledge was incredible and he really made it all come to life. He answered all our questions and my son loved sharing is own knowledge too. Husband and I also learnt a lot and everyone was engaged! Highly recommend. Rome4kids were also able to accommodate my last minute request for the tour! Very grateful.Written September 23, 2024
- 856kendrac0 contributionsFantastic tour of the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, and Palentine HillWe toured the coliseum with Marco! We were so impressed with Marco's knowledge about history and his passion for helping us have an unforgettable tour. He was fantastic and so full of excitement. We absolutely loved this tour!Written September 22, 2024
- 895garj0 contributionsUltimate Mythology Tour with SilvanoWe met Silvano in front of the Capitoline Museum. He was enthusiastic about Greco-Roman history from the first minute. We had the galleries to ourselves and Silvano shared his extensive knowledge of the museum, Roman history, and mythology. The kids were engaged from the first minute. He had answers to all of our questions and was so excited to share his knowledge. By the end of the tour, the children could read every sculpture and name every statue of a Greek/Roman god or goddess. We left wanting to study more and explore more of Rome with Silvano. He and this museum are absolute Roman Treasures. This tour is exceptional.Written September 13, 2024

I took my mother in law and my 4 year old son to this clay making class and it was a blast. Patrick was our teacher and we instantly felt at home and welcome. We were served a delicious tea and taught step by step how to create some fun animals with clay. Patrick went above and beyond with my son encouraging him, making him laugh, and guiding him. My son loves art and since we are traveling have no art supplies, Patrick gave him a few things to take home so he could continue with his art. We are so happy to have made a new friend, and we can't wait to come back and enjoy another class!
