- marci w0 contributionsSo disappointed tour guide was a no showWe showed up at allotted time to be informed our tour guide called in sick and there was no replacement. We were handed out tickets and sent on our way. So dissatisfied, frustrated and disappointed. So many choices of tours. Go with someone more reliable.Written September 16, 2024
- Inspiration5550100 contributionsWorth it!Paula, our tour guide, did a wonderful job explaining the complex history of the Colosseum complex. When asked individual questions about certain people or statues, she was able to give the history and background in detail, demonstrating her knowledge. We highly recommend her as a guide and felt that we had a good experience as a whole.Written September 16, 2024
- 943wadeeaa0 contributionsAmazing tour guide for our Colosseum TourGeorge (I believe his Italian name was Giorgio) was an amazing tour guide. Super knowledgeable and very entertaining. He kept us engaged throughout the entire tour and answered all of our questions. We went on many tours while on vacation, and this was the best by far. It rained during our tour but he still managed to make the most of it.Written September 15, 2024

- Devin R0 contributionsLast minute tour time change ruins trip.Booked this trip months in advance while prepping for a Mediterranean cruise. Was looking forward to this as being one of the high lights of the trip. Unfortunately, they changed the time of scheduled tour from 10:00 to 9:00am THE DAY BEFORE. We were on the ship so I had no idea until I went to check in and they told me that the tour left and there was no way to join them. Even if I had known we would not have been able to make it from the cruise port, take a train, and taxi to the meeting point by 9:00. 10:00 am was already pushing it. Still waiting for my refund. I guess this is why you book through the cruise and not through trip advisor.Written September 15, 2024
- Vinnie20660 contributionsDONT BOOK. YOU’VE BEEN WARNEDDONT BOOK!! You’ve been warned. I usually don’t write reviews but I had to warn other potential victims. The company will reschedule the times and not give you the option of either accepting, rescheduling or canceling! Ohhh, and if you can’t make THEIR schedule too bad…you’re paying and not getting a refund. My wife and I explained we had other engagements that couldn’t be canceled as it was our last night in Rome and needed to catch a flight out of Rome. Their reply: too bad…regardless if they changed times.Written September 14, 2024

- 843milest0 contributionsAn excellent 2 hours spent learning some history with MarciusWe had a great time walking around the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and the Colosseum with Marcius as our guide - he was excellent and made the tour so much better than walking through these areas on our own and reading the information. We never felt rushed and Marcius knew exactly when to stop and explain the history and really helped us visualise the grandeur of what the area would have looked like 2000 years ago. The colosseum part of the tour was also excellent, with lots of tidbits about the structure and general format of how the gladiator battles would have worked (if you are really into your history I would suggest a longer tour of the Colosseum as you get a 20 minute slot). The tour was well organised with the exception of the meeting point not having the 'white flags' out when we arrived. You are given an earpiece which worked well and made it easy to take pictures and do your own thing whilst Marcius was still talking. Salute Marcius!
