About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- D1157VItonyw0 contributionsAmazing opulenceOur visit to The Vatican Museums was okay. The sheer volume of people does detract from the whole experience. Our guide Carlo was excellent. The Sistine Chapel was way too busy and too rushed. You have no chance to stand actually look around and take it in. We were always being screamed at by guards to keep moving. We were unable to visit the Basilica for some reason not clear to us, so the extra we paid for the Basilica was not refunded. Overall, the museums are amazing but the sheer opulence and power of the Church to accumulate all of this did not sit well with me.Written October 8, 2024
- Road577652737830 contributionsWorst guider tour ever. The Worst guided tour i have ever taken. To begin with The guide ( lady) was 30 minutes late to the meeting point . Then she wasted another 10-15 minutes trying to get her audio set up as it was not working properly. After paying a top dollar fee we wanted detailed explanation on the vatican / cistine chapel and the basilica etc. But she just mumbled few lines on well known facts and tried to pass time by few jokes of poor taste. She did avoid many areas in the museum with sloppy excuses . In fact we overheard few other guides n got more information from them . Do not go to this company ..waste of money n waste of your time and once in life time opportunity..Though this company mentiones that thete is no guided tour in the basilica we saw many other companies doing detailed tours inside basilica.so you should go to a company who does the guided tour inside basilica.Written October 7, 2024
- D4133MIkellyp0 contributionsSt Peter's missing from TourThe tour of the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel were very good but there was NO tour of St Peter's Basilica even though we paid for it and it was advertised as being included.Written October 7, 2024

- WILLIAM10660 contributionsBook a tour or go there early. The queues just have to be seen. And be ready for quite a workout. The Sistine Chapel was on my bucket list. And it didn't disappoint. Only thing a bit of a bore was the amount of walking to do. It is quite a route march to get from the entrance of the Vatican Museum to the Chapel. And the staff always kept you moving. You couldn't just stand and marvel. But the art work and history is quite breath-taking. Well worth the workout. Watch yourself there. Well in Rome in General. You will be constantly pestered by pedlars trying to sell you overpriced tut, bottles of water, umbrellas, dependent upon the weather. And the numbers of beggars and rough sleepers just has to be seen to be believed. But by far the most hawked item were tickets for the hop on hop off bus tours. Not all of them are official. Best to get them from an official outlet.Written October 6, 2024
- F8086FJandream0 contributionsDon’t even think about going on a wednesdayWe’ve visited here 4-5 times before. It began with the trip advisor tour guide canceling our tour 1 hour before due to illness. We re-booked for the following day, Wednesday. Chaotic. So crowded we felt like we were in a 2 hour TSA line that barely moved as we walked very slowly through the Uber crowded Vatican museum. You couldn’t see anything and were pushed and shoved and just tried to look up when all that was happening was getting jostled. A claustrophobics nightmare. Tip 1: Never go on a wednesday when the Pope has his papal blessing. That added to the crowds and seeing the Pope was not our intent as we’d booked it for the day before, a Tuesday. Tip 2: Must buy Skip the Line tickets or you’ll wait…a long time! Tip 3: Buy far in advance for the earliest tour. Tip 4: 30 days in advance you can buy Friday night 7pm tickets directly from the Vatican where they let a very limited number of people in—-that was the best time we ever had at the Vatican. Imagine being in the Sistine Chapel with only 30 people—-amazing. Tip 5: Never got into St Peter’s-so much construction going on I’m Vatican City as they get ready for 2025 and the Jubilee. It’s an amazing place and I’d recommend tip 3 and 4. It’s a special place—-if you can see it!Written October 4, 2024
- kbeato0 contributionsWorth the costSo happy we booked a tour of the Vatican. Navigated through the crowds and better appreciated what we were seeing. Our guide was funny and informed.Written October 2, 2024
- Adventure376290961060 contributionsScam!! Do not bookThis is not a real company! We were scammed and the tour never happened, we also have not received a refund! Save your money and book through a legitimate company.Written October 1, 2024
- ozwhitesell0 contributionsIly was amazing and very engagingWe took a tour of the Vatican. Our guide was Ily. She was prompt, organized, funny, and very knowledgeable. She was unable to answer any questions she was asked. She continually made sure everyone was present which is a big deal in a very large and crowded place.Written September 30, 2024
- 336SarahG3360 contributionsGood tour value for moneyRecommended by a friend. Good value for money. Over 2hrs with Lucia who was very pleasant. I’d recommend anyone visiting Rome and going on this tour wear comfy shoes/trainers due to the uneven floors/ steps. Please also note that the meeting point can be hard to find so get there in plenty of time.Written September 29, 2024

- oscarmF1729RE0 contributionsRushed tourTour felt extremely rushed. Tour guide was very rude with many of the participants making it very awkward. I’ve done this tour before and it was much better. It felt like the guide wanted to end it asap, it was a Spanish tour guide. I don’t want to name her but I feel like she could have done a much better job, very disappointed.Written September 28, 2024
- Chris P0 contributionsGuided TourI booked a guided tour for our 15 year wedding anniversary. 24 hours before the visit they changed the time of the tour from 3pm to 4pm. My wife and I could not go at this time as we had dinner reservations. The tour operator provided us with entry tickets but no guide and confirmed we would get a refund for the difference. Despite being offered a refund we’ve still not received any details and no refund.Written September 27, 2024

Our guide Francesco was the star of our trip. He made a point to connect with my daughters and engage them in the learning and experience. While the Crypt is a lot to experience, he had a way of making it interesting and not overwhelming for my girls. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and very personable. If travelling to Rome, not only would I recommend this tour as a truly unique and uncrowded experience, but I would also be asking for Francesco!

We opted for a custom 3-hour combo tour of the Colosseum (with special access to the arena) and Basilica de San Clemente (underground parts included for small entry fee at the church). It was around 97 that day, with 3 kids in tow, so it was a real relief to skip the lines and be guided by the very knowledgeable and kind Diego Corsetti. We’d have had to do a ton of studying ahead of time to be able to appreciate these places the way we were able to with the insights provided, so even though it was fairly expensive, we learned a lot & felt it was a good investment. Diego answered all our questions, and he came ultra-prepared: with treats for the kids, a binder with tons of fun pictures to make the tour even more interesting, and a flashlight so we could see into the hidden parts of the underground. He offered to take group pictures at the best vantage points at each site, and he even delivered us to a reasonably priced restaurant afterward, departing only after we’d been seated in air conditioned comfort. He seemed sincerely interested in ensuring that we all had a great experience, and he worked hard to do it. Grazie Diego!

Today my husband and I experienced the “archeology and underground Rome” tour with Mattia. I highly recommend this, as we had an absolutely amazing experience with him. Mattia was so knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions throughout the tour. He went above and beyond, and because of his tour, we feel like we really explored Rome! He is very passionate about history, and kept us very interested the entire tour with fantastic facts.
