Overview

Follow in the footsteps of Ancient Rome’s gladiators during this Colosseum small-group tour. Skip the line and enter the Roman arena through the same entrance gladiators used and learn about their lives from a local guide. Stand on the central arena stage, typically closed to the general public.

What to Expect
Your tour will begin from our office near to the Colosseum. You will be introduced to your friendly guide, who is fully licensed and an expert in Ancient Rome, as well as the rest of your small group. From our office you will walk up to the Colosseum. You will bypass the long line and walk around to a special entrance. Here you will get ready to enter the Colosseum as the Gladiators once did 2000 years ago- directly onto the Colosseum's stage! The atmosphere will be electric as your guide reccounts the spine-tingling history of the spectacles that once took place in the arena. Lasting approximately 1.5 hours in total, your guide will also take you to the main two levels of the Colosseum. The whole time you will be entertained by their intirguing commentary of Ancient Rome.
The Colosseum has always been a center of entertainment. With our Colosseum with Gladiator Entrance small group tour you will find this is just as true today as it ever was!

Colosseum with Gladiator Entrance

It was amazing to see all the sites included and enter through the gladiator entrance. However we found our tour guide to struggle a bit with her english. I also thought the tour moved too quickly and didn't really give enough time at the colosseum.

All the tour guides stand together opposite the entrance and hold up signs with there names on. Just head for the groups of people.

There is an element of choice (you don't have to do it all) and I am sure it depends on the make up of the group - there are quite a lot of steps and an option for people to take the lift, which meant we were waiting for... More
