We had a fabulous private tour of the Vatican with Marina! She was very informative and fun, answered any questions we had and also let us explore at our own pace. We learned so much and also got to skip the lines! This tour was absolutely worth every penny and we will definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Rome!

Max was an amazing guide! So full of history about Rome and the church. Took us to awesome churches we never would have known about. Hundreds stand in line be to see the Pantheon but few to see the column that Jesus was tied to and whipped. The steps we walked up to be judged by Pontius Pilot. Or walk in the house/church where the early Christians meet and Paul and Peter evangelized. Relics of the manger, cross, nails and thorns from the crown. The catacombs were very interesting. GREAT DAY. Highly recommend!!

She provided us with extremely informative information and guided us through the maze of the Vatican we never would have made it were it not for she. We were a group of 11 people departing at 530 am from our hotel in Rome to the airport. We were very surprised to find our 2 vans waiting for us when we went downstairs at 5:20 am. Professional, friendly and fast transfers. Definitely the best in Rome. Thanks guys !!!

We had an absolutely wonderful tour! With only about 7 hours on a cruise stopover, we were able to see the catacombs, the colosseum (including the interior), St Peters square, the Trevi fountain, and SO MUCH more. Winding through the small downtown streets and seeing the city view from an elevated viewpoint were highlights. We learned so much from the excellent commentary from Michele, our very personable driver/guide. We were picked up and dropped off on schedule. We highly recommend this tour company.

Walking Tour of Florence - We really enjoyed the tour of Florence with our guide Katrina. She was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed her company. We saw the David but also enjoyed other parts of the museum that we might not have known about had Katrina not explained the exhibits to us. We walked around town and she gave teh history and interesting tidbits that, again, we would have missed if we just strolled on our own. She was also able to give us insights on where to shop for gold and leather. I highly recommend!

WE LOVED OUR DAY with Sal! It was a wonderful experience and we felt so honored to see so much of Rome in such a short time. He was a walking historian and impressed us all so much with is insights. The day was seamless and our tour of the Vatican was great as well. You run a great company with high quality personnel. The entire day was impressive and one we will all remember for our lifetimes! We did a private shore excursion from Civitavecchia titled "Best of Rome & Vatican". The only way to see so much in just 1 day! Carlo was amazing and made sure we enjoyed this beautiful part of Italy without missing a thing. He made stops along the way and was very skilled at explaining the history and importance of the sites. Side note - the crowds at the Vatican Museums made that part not at all enjoyable and I wish we had chosen the inside of the Basilica instead.

Luca and his team were very easy to work with, they were very accommodating. Massimo, our driver, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We only had 1 full day in Rome and I'm SO happy we chose Rome Private Excursions. We will definitely use them again!

We did an ancestry tour. Such a great experience. Our driver Domenek was professional and funny. He knew the history of the area very well. We've also done many transfers with RPE, all on time and professional. I highly recommend them!

One of our family members recommended that we contact Rome Private Excursions to have the best experience possible as we were only in Rome for one day. We are so glad we took their advice! Communication with the office was marvelous. They were very accommodating in changing our pickup hotel and kept us updated regarding our reservation with them. Sal, short for Salvatore, picked us up and actually came inside the lobby to greet us and show us to the van. He provided so much historical information as we drove from site to site that we felt well prepared for what we were about to experience. We had clear communication about where and when to meet, and he navigated the crazy Rome traffic with great patience and expertise. The company had also made arrangements for us to have a private tour of the Vatican. We met Paula and had a delightful time going through the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica and much more. She was quick to point out the nuances of the buildings and artwork/artifacts that one would miss if not looking for it, such as the ancient tapestries that move with the viewer! Sal provided water for us in the van and took us to a cafe that had the best sandwiches, and then later he stopped by a little Gelato shop for our pleasure. We had tickets and time to see both the Vatican and the Coliseum, so we did not have to stand in line and got out to stretch our legs and to take the magnitude of the Roman Forum. Communication was clear and concise; arrangements were marvelous, and the history and sites were very well explained, and actually came alive with the level of detail both guides shared. We felt the tour was well worth our time and money and highly recommend this organization and their tours for others.

Our private excursion to Assisi was fabulous. We had a great time and enjoyed the day, were on time and found a wonderful place to eat with a gorgeous view. We loved that we were able to learn more about the area from our driver and see the countryside. It was one of the best days of our trip. We would definitely recommend this to others.
