About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 908ruthw0 contributionsWonderful food tour in Rome!We were expecting great food, of course, but we were all surprised by how much history she was able to relate as we walked from stop to stop. She also made certain that the gluten-free people in our group were taken care of, and the food was incredible!Written September 8, 2024

- footballi20230 contributionsLovely food at a bargain price!Went on this food tour a few hours after arriving in Rome. I picked this tour due to the great reviews and reasonable price. As the cost of every other food tour was far more money than this. We had never done a food tour before and this was “more” than I had hoped for. The food was plentiful, also got offered wine and beer. My teenage daughter also enjoyed and by the time it was over our bellies were full!! The guide was warm, knowledgeable not only about the food but also about the history of the places. Each place we stopped off at was welcoming. Definitely do this tour when in Rome! It’s a bargain!Written August 25, 2024

We were probably the last tour before the Corona virus broke out and completely closed everything. But, we had Simone as our guide and he was great! He had significant knowledge about everything on our tour and I felt like he was very passionate in explaining it all. We enjoyed our tour very much and would highly recommend.

Whilst in Rome I did 2 tours with this company, this one and the food tour. Both times when I went to book the tours via TripAdvisor it would say the tour was booked out (I was booking them the night before... ooops my bad) so I emailed them hoping there would be availability’s and Rosy was so incredibly helpful and was able to fit me into both tours!
I had a great time on both of them. Ruggero was a lovely guide and I was lucky enough to get him on both tours!
Recommendation to those wishing to take the food tour. The meeting point for both tours is Campo de Fiori square. During the day till 3:00pm there is a market there that sells a variety of things (pasta, fresh fruit and vegetables, limoncello, leather goods and clothes) go a little earlier so you can walk around and suss it out. As the tour doesn’t incorporate the market and instead starts at a deli just next to the market.

I loved that this tour was at night and I loved that it was a small group. The guide was excellent (Matteo) who you could tell loved his city and sharing everything about it. He had pictures on a tablet to show us then and now and provide additional context to his stories (like how the current white used to be in colour).
I felt safe as a solo female traveller. Since it ended late and I had a bit to go to get to my b&b, I took a taxi back and it was all super easy. I would have taken the transit just the same but it was a long day and I wanted to get back.

Our guide Claudia was very knowledgeable and informative about our night-time walking tour of the Bruno Statue, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. We had great banter with her about our accents, seems like Meath and Laois are in different planets 😂 Honestly a great way to spend a evening in Rome and see the sights of Rome at night-time with a lady who loves her city.

This was an amazing tour! Our guide Mateo (or Mathew in English) was amazing. The tour was much more than just the Piazza Navona Pantheon & Trevi Fountain, the young man walked us around Rome giving us historical facts as well a tales of origins, romances, and conflicts. We were shown streets and buildings with symbolic architecture and given an insight on how the city changed over time. Mateo was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and prepared with photo of streets, buildings, and art to help us imagine Ancient Rome in the streets of modern today's Rome. The evening time slot was a terrific choice because the areas were well lit and the temperatures had cooled a bit from the hot day.

Giorgio led our small group tour through the streets of Rome. It's a great introduction to the city especially if you have never been there before. This tour helps you decide what you would like to go back and explore in depth on your own time. Giorgio was more than just a tour guide, he made you fall in love with the city and helped you have such an appreciation for your surroundings. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Ours was English and Italian was available. There should be a telephone number to call to see if it is available in other languages.

Ours was English and Italian was available but I'm sorry I do not know if it is available in Spanish. There should be a number to contact them to find out. We had to call on several of our tours.
