    Amazing guide!
Carlo is an amazing guide who is both extremely knowledgeable and talkative. There was never a dull moment with him and he kept us entertained the entire time. I think the best comment I can make of any guide is that he made the time fly by. Bravo Carlo!

Vatican City - Best Tour Ever!
Francesca was marvelous! My husband and I booked a private tour with Francesca and it was outstanding! She is so knowledgeable and works you through the massive maze of the Vatican and all the important areas. We loved seeing the Sistine Chapel (not a first time), but this time Francesca reviewed the entire ceiling and what we would see before going into the chapel. It was so enlightening to be able to look up and recognize everything she taught us! We highly recommend Francesca and hope to see her on our next visit!

    Great tour with Eleanor
She was great with my 3-year old. We had a great time experiencing new things with her. She was happy to share her thoughts and experiences with us. We definitely recommend her and would use her for future tours.

    Fantastic Tour with Carlo
My husband and I had the best time with Carlo touring the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. Carlo is incredibly warm and friendly, is extremely knowledgeable about Roman history, and just has a passion for what he does. This tour truly was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome and really because of Carlo's warm nature, understandable explanations, and enthusiasm. We learned so much on this tour that we never would have on our own. We even enjoyed visiting sites later in our trip which Carlo recommended, some that are off the beaten path, and which we particularly enjoyed. Grazie Carlo!

    Wonderful Tour with Francesca
My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Francesca was an excellent guide, making us feel comfortable and welcome right away. She quickly discerned our level of knowledge and really crafted the tour on the spot accordingly. We felt very much like we had exclusive access to the museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica and learned quite a bit, having started with only a general knowledge of the Vatican. Thank you, Francesca, this was a real highlight of our trip to Rome!

    Amazing dinner With Locals!
We had a fantastic time with our host Maria Gloria and her two amazing chefs. We were a party of three, and had one other traveler join us. We were so happy to have her experience this with us and we had an amazing time. Three hours flew by! Just a tip, do not eat before coming to your dinner, it is a lot of excellent food….. A LOT! When we come back to Rome, we will for sure come and have dinner with them again!

Highlight of our time in Rome
We did this tour on our first day in Rome. It was so great. We got a chance to walk around the city and get a feel for the City. The food choices were amazing and we never would have found them on our own. Simone had a ton of knowledge on the history or the city and different sights. He was fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable. I can’t recommend him enough.

Fun, exciting and delicious. Rocio is truly fantastic and accommodating.
This was such a fun experience. We didn't know what to expect so it was exciting. Rocio is truly amazing. She did such a great job showing us around and giving us the history. She worked hard to accommodate each of our needs as there were several picky eaters in our group. Then someone left a purchase he had made and she tracked it down the next day and shipped it to us in the United States. We can't thank her enough. She truly is great.

Federico- a great Vatican Museum tour guide!
We toured the Vatican Museums with Federico from With Locals on 24 November 2023. It was a fabulous experience from planning to the tour itself. He is so knowledgeable...and I had lots of questions. Also very nice, fun and so efficient showing us a large portion of the Vatican museums. We learned so much and would hire him for another tour in a second! Bravo Federico!

    Desire to cook
I love to eat, but I don’t love to cook. Taking the class with Massimo changed my mind. It created a desire for me to attempt making pastas and enjoying it. I’m so grateful that Massimo opened up his home and his heart to teach others how to make the most delicious pastas. Simple, fresh, quick, and beyond amazing dishes were prepared and devoured. My husband and I couldn’t decide which of the three were our favorite. We are beyond excited to try to cook these pastas at home. I know it won’t come close to Massimo’s cooking. So we will need to come back to Rome and take Massimo’s class again. :)

    Take this tour!
Valentina is so warm and knowledgeable! It was a real treat to see a different side to Rome and view it thru a non-tourist lens. We saw neighborhoods and sites we would not have gone to otherwise. And we avoided the crowds! Next time we are in Rome, we will book more tours with Valentina!!

Our tour with Luca was amazing. He is a local who is born and raised in Rome and knows everything about the food scene. We went off the beaten path to nooks that tourists rarely see. We even ran across his nephew whose restaurant we had just passed. Luca made us feel special, seeing some of the sights we had not gotten to. But the most special part of being with him was going to his kitchen and enjoying a fresh pasta lunch. We sat around his table and talked, laughed, and felt a real connection to our gracious host. The food, of course, was exceptional. But what made the experience was Luca, bringing us into his home and treating us like family. We consider Luca to be a part of our family as well and cannot wait to see him again!

Seeing Rome and two of its beautiful parks on bike was so much fun. The ride was the perfect combination of city and trail riding and the ride home along the Tiber was a perfect way to finish the day. It was a great, active way to see the city. My teenage boys had a blast too.

Matteo is a great guy, a great tour guide, and generally just fun to be with for a few hours. We are grateful to him for our entire experience.

Luca is fun and he knows a lot about what's goin on in Rome.
He took us on a 4 hour bikeride, where we saw great places and he told us many stories, where most of them problably were true! :)
After the ride a great lunch prepared by him and his family.
Can only and strongly recommend going on a trip with Luca!!

We had a wonderful time with Luca. He showed us around a lot of places we’d never even know or think to visit in Rome while stopping at a variety of places for local food. Luca is a real roman. He knows the history and is a very friendly, helpful guy. The end of the tour was the highlight for me. We stopped at his kitchen studio where he poured us prosecco, gave us local olives, tomato bruschetta and then cooked homemade, absolutely delicious carbonara. All washed down with white and red wine then lemoncello to cleanse the palate. Great experience, great guide, big thumbs up

Simone was so great to learn from and spend time with. My wife and I have been to Rome many times. You can spend a lifetime here and always learn and see new things. If you’re considering booking this experience with Simone, I would recommend doing it at the start of your trip. It’s a great snap shot of the city. You’ll see many places in a short period of time. You can always go back later on your own to see more. Simone welcomes and appreciates questions. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you Simone!

We had a fabulous three hour tour through some less seen areas of Rome while still seeing the more popular sights as well. Claudio was extremely knowledgeable and just a great person all round. Our kids had a blast as well.

Claudio was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable, friendly and courteous! Got to see the sites and get some information and a fair bit of exercise. We've been to Rome before, and we got see some places we hadn't been to, so that was great! He was easily accommodating when we asked for a couple e-bikes for a couple members in our group. If you need a guide, Claudio is the choice!

Claudio is the best guide you can find to explore Rome! He is a true Roman who knows all the secrets and stories of this amazing city. He will also give you great advice on where to eat and drink like a local. He is not only a knowledgeable guide, but also a fun person to hang out with 😊. His bike tour is a must-do, and I can’t wait to join his wine tour next time

Amandio was friendly and charming. escorted the 5 of us from our hotel to the bike store. Had a fun and interesting tour, off the beaten path of Rome. Went to some of Amandio's favorite food spots, bakery, gelato and cheese shop. All were wonderful. It was one of our favorite tours of Rome(we have previously seen the big sights) seeing some of the back streets and lesser known sights. Would definitely sign up for this tour again.
