Skip the Line: Colosseum, Vatican and Historic Rome Small-Group Tour
From $148.62
Ideal for travelers who are short on time but want to see much of Rome as possible, this tour takes you to many of Rome’s most popular sites in just one day. You’ll visit the Colosseum, Forum, Pantheon, and the Vatican, hearing commentary along the way. Plus, you’ll get skip-the-line access at the Vatican and Colosseum, saving as much as an hour waiting in line at St. Peter’s Basilica alone.
What to Expect
Your morning begins at a cafe near the Colosseum, where you’ll meet your guide and fellow travelers. Skip the notorious lines to the ancient arena, where you’ll spend some time learning its history. Then make your way to the Roman Forum to get a peek at the Temple of the Vestal Virgins and the Senate House.

The next stop is the Pantheon, where your guide tells you about how one of the world’s largest unreinforced concrete domes was built. At Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, stop for a gelato break, then take a lunch break on your own.

Rejoin your guide at Piazza del Risorgimento, and enjoy skip-the-line access to the Vatican Museums, where you’ll get a curated tour of highlights, including the Laocoön Group, Raphael Rooms, and the Sistine Chapel. Choose to stay in the Vatican, or skip the lines and enter St. Peter’s Basilica directly from the chapel.
