About
The Vatican Museums are one of the world’s great museums and the Sistine Chapel is a candidate for the world’s most famous artwork. But neither is set up for kids. Tailor-made for families with younger children, this Vatican Museums family tour lets kids discover the history and art of this world-class site through play—and, with no anxious waiting in line, adults can enjoy it, too.

Communication with the organization team is very quick, efficient and easy. They will taylor your visit to your wishes and provide options and suggestions.
Tomaso was our guide for the Vatican Tour. He was very kind and nice with the kids. He was able to adapt himself to the level of our children (4 & 6). He managed to captivate them during the 2,5 hour tour. He was also able to give us very interesting information and answer our questions. We highly recommend Tomaso for the Vatican visit.
The tour goes through the Roman and Greek statuary, the Belvedere Courtyard, the gallery of maps and the Sistine Chapel.
One thing we wish we had done is stay in the Vatican after the tour ended to see a few more things like the Pinacoteca and the modern religious art.

Francesca, our tour guide was amazing!!! Somehow she was able to entertain our 9,7 and 3 year olds for almost 4 hours. She explained everything very clearly and at their level. To be honest, my wife and I enjoyed Francesca's explanation of the Vatican as well so she was able to keep 5 people entertained. Francesca got us around all of the lines and we were able to take a couple shortcuts to avoids the droves of people wandering through. We would highly recommend!

Thank you very much for this fantastic review of your tour with Francesca! The Vatican Museums visit is not always easy especially for smaller kids, but your kids are troopers and Francesca is one of our best guides! We are so glad that you had a great time with us. We highly appreciate your feedback! See you again in one of our European destinations. Grazie mille! Katja and the Rome4Kids Tours Team

Our family had our best Vatican Museum experience to date with our kind and highly informed guide, Antonella! She became a fun, nonna (grandmother) figure to our young sons right away, who didn't want to see her go at the end. Her storytelling was super interesting for both the adults and children. She wanted us to understand what we were seeing and not just say 'Wow' and rush by. Our 4 year-old really loved the challenge she presented of finding as many keys to the Vatican as he could throughout the tour, first explaining the history and significance of this frequently recurring symbol. When the tour was finished, she recommended an awesome lunch spot walking distance from the Vatican that was delicious and authentic.

What a wonderful tour with Tommy! He was full of information that was entertaining and engaging for our 11 year old son, 19 year old daughter and me. We learned so much about Rome’s history, the Vatican and the art of the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica. This tour truly made the experience meaningful for all of us.

Rome4Kids and Antonella were perfection for our family group visit to Rome (4 adults and 3 kids- ages 3,5,6). The communication prior to our trip was prompt and cheerful, all tours were explained in a way we felt good about choosing, and payment was easy. Upon arriving in Rome, Antonella was on time and an absolute delight to have as our guide. She was knowledgeable and engaging with the kids in a way that made it clear she enjoying having them along and teaching them! We had two delightful days of tours with her and enjoyed every bit. She was understanding when the kids needed a snack or break, and we never felt rushed. Rome4Kids also was able to provide booster seats and a carseat, a huge bonus since we were coming via train. The van was safe, clean and the driver was respectful and helpful in our frequent loading and unloading. 100% recommend for your family to get to see Roman sights in a way that is FUN for adults and kids alike!

We had a great experience. Booking process was clear and simple. At the day of the tour, Tommy showed up with a big smile and great attitude. Kids got hooked right away and learned SO MUCH. We never thought of Vatican tour to be the kids' favorite part of a 16-day trip, visiting the most beautiful, unique places and we owe that to Tommy. Thank you for the great memory!

Fantastic tours..enjoyed every moment
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (6&10 years). We booked 2 tours with Rome4kids tours.
The first was the Vatican & Sistine chapel with Valeria. She was fantastic. She kept both my girls, particularly our 6 year old engaged for 3 hours. We learnt loads and thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Our second was to the Colosseum. Francesca took this tour and she was brilliant. Again keeping the kids engaged for 3 hours!! When our 6 year old was beginning to wain she knew how to get her attention.
We loved our tours and would 100% book with them again. I would recommend you to book with them too.

Had a great time with Toni here! We had four kids (youngest being 6) with us, so the cultural elements of this one make it a little bit tougher for younger kids, but Toni did a great job keeping the kids entertained and ensuring that we mixed educational elements of the tour were mixed together with engaging stories and explanations. Would recommend to any other visiting families! Would note that (at least as of April 2022), they were requring N95 / FFP2 masks in the vatican, which were the only areas where these seemed to be required (or at least enforced) while in Italy. Just helpful to know in advance so you don't have to pay to purchase them on the street at the entry.

We had an amazing tour with Toni of the Vatican Museum, St. Peter’s, and the Sistine Chapel. She was incredibly kind and knowledgeable and changed the tour on the fly to cater to our kids’ interests (6, 8, and 10). We also did a tour of the Capitoline museum, with a different guide from the company, which was nice too. Highly recommend.

Francesca was the best tour guide we've ever had! She was so knowledgeable and also so patient and engaged with my children, aged 6 & 9. They were both involved and it was a long day and something that could be quite boring for younger kids. She kept them engaged and interested. She was just FABULOUS!!! If we ever go back to Rome, I will be looking her up first! Thanks so much!
