Greet your guide—and any other families who might join your small group—near the entrance to the Vatican Museums, and skip the long line to enter. Your guide will entertain the children with age-appropriate scavenger hunts and games.
Both the stories they tell and the exact rooms you visit will be tailored to the audience, but will include the Gallery of Maps and the Gallery of Carriages. Your tour will culminate in the Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo’s greatest masterpiece, before you exit the museum into St. Peter’s Square. St. Peter’s Basilica is easy to visit independently after your tour, should you wish.
