Trusted Service
Jun 2020
We were so looking forward to both our What a Life tours in Rome but due to the Covid 19 effect, we have chosen to postpone our visit to a future date as well as our prepaid tours! What a Life tours have been fantastic in advising us to take either a voucher for 100% of the prepaid fees good for 2 years or a 90% refund...their prompt and efficient service guarantees that we will look forward to both these tours again! Thank you WALT!

Date Night with Marta
Feb 2020
My wife and I booked this tour as a way to orient ourselves to the food scene in Rome, and are so glad we did. We ended up being the only ones who had signed up for our time slot, and spent our evening dining and drinking with Marta! She was an excellent guide, with great knowledge both of the history of culinary tradition, and where great finds were! She helped us visualize the whole city at different times in history, and above all was great company. We were joking with her the whole time, and this was a lovely start to our trip to Rome!

Ciao from Rome and thanks so much for giving us this perfect review! It sounds like you had a fantastic night with your wife and Marta exploring the tastes of Rome- you sure are lucky that you had her all to yourself! You're right, she is an amazing guide with incredible knowledge about the typical cuisine of Italy and the history that goes along with it. The best part is that besides trying new things, you also get to learn more about the beautiful city of Rome. We hope you have a great rest of your trip and that you join us again soon for another tour whether that be in Rome or one of our other gorgeous Italian locations!

Fantastic Food Tour
Aug 2019
My husband and I booked this four hour food tour our first night in Rome and it was well worth it. All of the food was absolutely amazing and the tour guide specifically focused on the local food as the subject of the tour versus history of the area. That being said, it also gives you a chance to get grounded on your surroundings in central Rome. I believe the tour guide's name was Andrea - he was very knowledgeable and fun to hang out with for a few hours! He also gave us recommendations for the rest of our time in Rome. I highly recommend!

Ciao from Rome and thanks so much for this amazing review! We are thrilled to hear that you and your husband enjoyed our Tastes of Rome Food Tour as it is one of our personal favorites as well. There really is nothing better than tasting your way through a new city. Plus, learning the significance behind what you are seeing and eating is a major bonus- especially when you have a fun and knowledgable guide like Andrea by your side! Thanks so much for the recommendation, we would love to see you back again soon for another tour in Rome or elsewhere in Italy!

We had an excellent evening with jasmine. Group size of 7 was nice. Restaurant locations and specialties were spread out enough to get a flavor for different areas. Would highly recommend. Fun and engaging.

Wonderful Foodie Tour
Dec 2019
The three of us took this tour with Jasmine as our guide. There were a total of 7 of us in this tour. Great group of friendly people. Jasmine was a wonderful host informing us on the history of the neighborhoods and the regional foods. It was a great variety of foods and drinks. Abundant and delicious! Jasmine is the best and her knowledge of Rome's food and drink is amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour with her and highly recommend this to everyone.

Ciao Patricia, we are so happy you decided to come along on our Roman food tour with Jasmine! It definitely is one of our favorites, and for good reason! We like to keep our group sizes small so you have the chance to interact with your guide on a personal level. The best part of this tour however, is all the delicious foods you get to try! We hope you left with a satisfied stomach after trying all of the pasta, street food, wine, and more. We hope to see you back again soon for another tour! :)

Amazing Food Tour with Andrea
Oct 2019
Andrea picked us up right on time in the Jewish Ghetto and showed us an amazing time on our first night in Rome. It was wonderful to try so many of the local dishes that we may not otherwise have tried on our stay in Rome. At the end of the tour, Andrea gave us other suggestions on restaurants to try that were close to where we were staying and they were wonderful. Highly recommend a food tour with Andrea (especially on your first night in Rome so you have time to try other recommended restaurants).

Besides trying typical Italian pizza and pasta, you get to try so many other delicious dishes such as Jewish style fried artichokes, supplì, and cannoli. Hopefully you left with a full stomach and a happy heart! Thanks so much for writing this fantastic review and thanks for recommending us to others who may be traveling to Italy soon. Be sure to stop by for another tour soon with us soon, whether that be in Rome, Florence, Tuscany, or even Pompeii and Positano!

Ciao, we are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your Food Tour with us! It is one of our newer tours and it is just now becoming quite the trend here in Rome. With tons of delicious Italian foods to try, it is sometimes hard to know what to try first. However, with this tour you get to try the most popular dishes in all of Rome and Italy. Best of all, all the stops are at authentic restaurants and cafes! Between the Jewish style artichokes, prosciutto and cheese plates, wine, beer, pizza, supplì, cannoli, liquor, pastas and gelato you will definitely leave with a great knowledge of typical Italian cuisine. Hopefully you arrived with a full stomach! Thanks for taking the time to review your experience and giving us 5-stars! We hope to see you back again for another tour soon!

This Food tour is not to be missed!
Sep 2019 • Couples
This food tour takes you to the Jewish ghetto and Trastevere. Bethany took us to 7 different amazing places to sample the food as we were immersed in the Italian culture. We saw the area as we never would have without her entertaining company. We toured back alleys and out of the way restaurants. By the time it was over we felt as if Bethany was a part of our family! This tour is a must!

Ciao, we are so thrilled that you decided to join us for our fantastic Tastes of Rome Food Tour! While Rome's iconic landmarks cannot be missed, getting to eat a piece of history is on a whole different level! Bethany is unbeatable when it comes to communicating with guests and ensuring that each tour group has a fantastic time in the Eternal City. With this tour in particular, you really get to experience Roman culture all the while trying the tastiest and most authentic Italian dishes. Thanks so much for the incredible recommendation, we would love to have you back for another tour sometime in the future whether it be in Rome, or one of our other incredible Italian destinations!

Perfect way to kick off your visit to Rome
Jun 2019
Amazing tour. We did this tour the last night of our stay in Rome and really wished we had done it our first. There were some many stops on the tour we would have loved to gone back to. The fried artichokes. Wow!. Andrea our tour guide was so much fun and provided great insight to the history of Rome. We will be going back to Rome and this tour will be on our list.
