Dennis was such a kind and fun host. He did a great job explaining the history of things and we learned so much. The people at the desk even gave us a discount on the price of the tour, we only paid 35 euro each for a 3 hour tour of the colosseum, palatine and Roman Forum. I would absolutely recommend using this service if you are in Rome and interested in learning more of the history of this ancient and historic city.

This is the 2nd time I have used Rome Private Guides. Laetitzia was the most fantastic guide who gave us 2 fascinating days looking at Ancient Rome - the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Forum and the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. She provided a fascinating commentary to what we saw which was good for all my family and kept us all engaged - I would highly recommend this company and especially Laetitzia!

We thought Flavia did a wonderful job. She very clearly condensed so much history and information into our 3 hour tour. She answered all of our questions. The tour was easy to book, the meeting point is on Via Frangipane which is very close to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Three hours might seem like a lot, but there is so so so much to see. Highly recommend wearing comfy shoes, sunglasses and/or a hat, and bringing a small bottle of water (especially if going in warm weather).

I missed my tour because the check in instructions were unclear at the time of my arrival. There were too many people/guides at the meeting point and I was only informed of the check in process after I had arrived there by 10 minutes. As a result, when I came to check in, they told me i had missed my time, which i didn't.

As a result i had to pay a reschedule fee which was the same price as the tour and be put on a later time.

Azzurra is a really nice an knowledgable Guide.
All questions were masterfully answered and she sprinkled in some bankground information beyond the actual tour itself.

Although you can enjoy the Colosseum, Palantine Hill and Forum Romanum by yourself, i highly recommend a guided tour for all the historical context you otherwise would miss.

We spent the afternoon with Renata as our guide today and had a terrific time exploring the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill. She was knowledgeable and timely throughout and the tour was well worth it on our first day in Rome. While our youngest was fading toward the end (definitely due to jet lag), she was quick to notice and sparked his interest with the inside scoop on a good gelato place. The Colosseum was something the boys had looked forward to for sometime and her storytelling did not disappoint.

Dennis led an unbelievably thorough, genuine, and enthusiastic tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum - I would not visit the Colosseum again without such a tour and would glad do this same tour again. The experience helped paint the context, symbolism, and history of the monuments. Dennis is a true master at his craft!

I wasn’t sure whether to pay the extra to skip the line and have a guide .... now I’m sure .... it’s worth every penny. Entering the colosseum is hard work when it’s busy. The security line takes a long time but our guide used that time to tell us lots about the Colosseum and the context in which it was built.

The tour itself was fascinating and I would recommend taking this trip with the Forum and Palatine Hill - stunning view.

Organisation was great and recommend getting to the office early and then popping over the road to the restaurant for lunch before your departure.

Really enjoyed the trip
