THE WORST!! DON'T BOOK WITH Your Way Tours!
The tour company, Your Way Tours, was MOST IRRESPONSIBLE! They had a representative who, nonchalantly, told us the tourists gathered for the tour that the guide had called in sick and that THERE WAS NO REPLACEMENT! She said that they will issue a full refund if we cancel or give a partial refund if we enter and go without a guide. This being our last day, we entered the Vstican on our own and tagged along with others and rented our own audio narration device. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE SHAME.

You can't print the tickets because it not accepted and when we showed the QR code it wasn't working. So best to take the tickets at the train station

      not pleasant
We booked tickets to the Rome airport train in advance through the online site, which gave us a better deal. However, we left a bit early to avoid the impending rain, only to discover on the train that we would be charged a penalty of €58 each for a €10ticket because we were on an earlier train than the one assigned. It was a shock and disappointment when we were told that we should not have been on the 3:30 PM train if our Trainline ticket was for the 4:15 PM train. There was no mercy or empathy, even though we were tourists traveling in Italy first time The train ticket operators were ruthless and particularly unfriendly towards people of color, seemingly taking advantage of tourists.

      Total SCAM
After paying in advance months ago, I kept getting emails saying the tickets would be sent via email 2-3 days prior to the day of using the train. I got emails telling me these are NOT your tickets they will be sent soon. I never got the tickets and on the actual morning I received an email saying “get tickets here” and to add to apple wallet. I did this. Upon arrival at the train, the people working there would not let us through the gates as they said a barcode is not enough. It has to be a QR code which this was not. Our train was leaving and we had literally minutes to spare to make it meet the other Frecciarosa train to connect at termini. They made us pay again with our credit card. I have lodged a complaint but I doubt whether anything will eventuate. I was scammed.

      Great if they’d show up!
We had booked this tour because it was a great opportunity to see everything, have a guide to enhance the experience and to skip the lines. Unfortunately, our guide never showed up. There was a representative that showed up to let us know that they had our tickets so we can get in but that it wouldn’t be guided, we’d be on our own. She at least got us in to the Vatican, but we were not able to go to the Basilica because the line was too long. They had given us an email to reach out and because of the cancellation, they would refund 40% of the cost. When we emailed them ( Rome your way Tours) they told us that we had to contact TripAdvisor, since it’s where we booked it originally, and there isn’t a way to dispute it through them either. We at this point are being given the run around, and we’ll need to try to dispute it through our Credit Card Company. The tours say they come with the headsets, however because they didn’t show up, we had to pay for them again. It was a mess. The 2nd meet up spot for the Coliseum, a guide did meet us and we were able to have the full experience with that tour, and she was great. Honestly she is the only reason I’m rating this the way I did.

Very good experience of Colosseum & Ancient Rome Tour
The experience was very good. We visited the Colosseum & the Ancient Rome with the Palatine Hill with a lady tour guide who was excellent. She was speaking very good English. she provided all the useful historic information and she was very helpful in everything that needed. The tour was very well organised and within  the scheduled time frame.

Disappointing whistle stop Rome Tour: Lacked organisation, historical knowledge and was unprofessional.
The tour was unprofessional and disorganised from the start. We were told to arrive early but inexperienced guide turned up 5 minutes before start and then tour started 10 mins late. Guide lacked historical knowledge, relying on his girlfriend who did not speak English. The tour felt rushed and lacked focus on key sites eg: Spanish Steps walked past but no time to go up steps. The guide's self-promotion of his bar was unprofessional. Most of group left early due to the unsatisfactory experience, ruining our first night in Rome.

Do not waste your time. Just more dilapidated buildings and a few flowers. A waste of time, money and driving. Don’t do it.

      We enjoyed this tour
Great tour! Lots of good info on the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. We enjoyed it very much. Be prepared. It's getting warm in Rome. Wear a hat and sunscreen. There are lots of steps so wear comfortable shoes : ). We enjoyed this tour.

      Great tour
The guide definitely knew her stuff only negative was that at times she gave us too much detailed information, as she couldn’t always hold or attention. Considering the dense crowds she managed somehow to keep us together. Looking at the mile long queue to get in, and that was early in the morning , I’m so glad we booked the fast track tour. One bit of advice to find the meeting point - don’t use Google maps, click on the directions via the get your guide app’

      Rome bound
In a rush, I may have been double charged for a one way ticket. The train is convenient. Otherwise it was a good trip to Termini. Watch out for taxi drivers! Make sure they use the meter! If you are two to three, it may be cheaper to take the 50 euro fixed rate to central Rome

Possible Scam on the Leonardo Express
We purchased tickets on the trenitailia web site - easy. After purchasing the tickets, however, we could NOT "check in" . We attempted at the electronic devices at stations, but no luck. Our train from Pisa arrived at the Rome termini on time, with just enough time to make the Leonardo Express connection to the airport. We showed our e-tickets to the conductor, and he said we could board. Then once on board and underway, he came to check our tickets. He said we had not "checked in" and thus there would be be a fine of E50.00 per ticket, which he collected on the spot - despite our protests. He then proceeded up the car and fined other passengers! I want others to be aware of this possible scam. It was obvious that we had purched the tickets; there was no attempt by us not to pay the fare. What was UNFAIR was that the conductor would not recognize our tickets, and further felt the need to fine us approximately 4 times the value of each ticket. WHEN USING THE LEONARDO EXPRESS IN ROME BEWARE OF CONDUCTORS SHAKING DOWN PASSENGERS WITH VALID TICKETS!! (Are some of the conductors sharing in the fines, which can be paid in cash??!!)

      Leonardo Train Ticket
The experience could have been better. It was not made clear that the Leonardo tickets are timed, and you would have to change the time and check in again before your desired travel time.

There is no doubt that Rome's image without Villa Adriana and Villa D'Este would be uncomplete! Two great monuments! But... Adding a terrible poor lunch at Gabriella's Tavern in Tivoli apparently was intended to demonstrate the way that the Pope Alexander VI (Borgia) was treating his worst ennemies! First, the lunch was mandatory. Of course, no menu was available so we had to choose guessing verbal options allowed, in Dante's less familiar language. Then we've got a glass pretending to be wine but for sure it was the raw liquid to produce aceto balsamico without being balsamico! The grilled vegetables needed strong teeth that people over 60, as I am, can't afford. A humble demand for a Margherita pizza was firmly denied: as it was already past by 12, the oven was off. Instead, the only toilette cabin was great: lining up we made a lot friends from Thailand to USA and Australia! I regreted when finally arrived in!
To end, do it letting people to choose where to launch. The Villa Adriana's visit lasted 1h, the Villa
    d'Este visit 75 min.and the launch... 180 min!
The very positive fact was the nice and kind guide, Sabrina, whose historical knowledge exceeds the two visited objectives.

Hello! I'm really truly for what you wrote. Gabriella restaurant has a fixed menu, which includes: appetizer, first course, dessert etc. Our staff that leads the aforementioned Tour, always asks customers in advance if they have food preferences or hypothetical allergies, so as to be able to inform the restaurant in time. Thanks and best regards Rome Your Way Tours

This company is simply terrible. We had our tour booked at 10.00 and left our hotel at 9.00. Due to taxi strikes and congestion we arrived 15 minutes late, after informing the tour guide that we are on our way. We arrived and the bus has already left. The staff were very unhelpful over the phone and we were offered a Rome night tour instead. No refund or equivalent trip was given for the next day, although we have spent $260 for two people on this trip and all of our morning stressing. There were also three other people in our same situation for the trip. It is strange that as tourists we have to pay the price for Rome’s public strikes while the tour companies run away with our money, especially that our booking

hallo, so sorry to read this from you , but dear you should understand that 15 minutes on late means that if the guide waited for you all the group lost the tour. When you booked a tour there is always a time and we cannot enter when we want in the museum. Tivoli is a tour you need time to go because we reach the place with private bus , for this reason we always ask the clients to arrive 10 minutes before the tour starts , in this case there were the bus strike and the street were with more traffic than usual day.

Giuseppe was WONDERFUL! He was so kind and funny, and gave great insight into the lives of the historical figures whose shoes we were walking in. I had been to Hadrian’s Villa and really appreciated a refresher on the emperor’s home away from Rome. Seeing Villa d’Este was stunning, and lunch at the Trattoria di Gabriella in Tivoli was so fun and delicious. I wouldn’t do this trip on a rainy day - it’s a long day with LOTS of walking and up/down. I would not recommend for people with any mobility limitations, it wouldn’t be worth it. Wear comfy shoes and be ready for weather. A truly wonderful way to spend a day outside of Rome.

A great itinerary, excellent guide - Alfredo was both personable and knowledgeable - topped off with a really good lunch (with lots of wine!). Even though it rained while we were visiting the Villa d'Este and some of the water fountains weren't working we still enjoyed the tour there. And the ruins of Hadrian's Villa are fantastic. My wife liked them better than Pompeii as more of the structures have remained intact.

Our guide was fabulous. She is from Poland but as far as we could tell, she spoke Italian like a native and her English was impeccable. She was very knowledgeable about both Hadrian’s Villa and Villa D’Este and shared wonderful stories and information with us. The ride there and back was fine. The only shortcoming was the lunch which could have been better. . It was a wonderful day and food was the least important part of it anyway.

We wish we could give it 7 stars! Our guide Mara was well organized, knowledgeable, helpful, and catered to our needs (we had a vegetarian in the group who thoroughly enjoyed her customized lunch). Her English was perfect and she was very easy to understand. She was very patient and answered all of our questions. She went above and beyond and even helped us get on the right metro after the tour. The places we visited were more interesting because of her. She arranged smooth transportation with the excellent driver Simone. We had a beautiful day at a very relaxed pace. Lunch at da Gabriella trattoria in Tivoli which was outstanding. It was a local non touristy restaurant with generous portions and delicious variety. It was a wonderful day

Let me start of by saying I have been to Rome before and found it entirely overwhelming. I am not a fan of crowds being herded from place to place. THIS tour was the perfect break I needed from the massive amount of post-covid Rome tourists. We had 13 people ( if you counted tour guide) and most of the tour was outside. It is alot of walking but so very worth it! Tour was exactly as described and I did not feel like anyone was trying to sell us anything and tour guide was well informed. Very beautiful sites. Hadrian palace had to have been spectacular back when it was completed. The fountains at the other Castle are spectacular!

It was a great visit to both of the Villas in Tivoli. The sites guide was knowledgeable and cheerful. The bus trip was ok, the driver seemed to drive in a safe and skilled manner.
Our lead chaperone was inexperienced and will no doubt grow in the role.

Worth the trip if you are interested in history and archeology. Mostly in ruins, the villa still reflects the grandeur Hadrian enjoyed.

We also enjoyed Villa d’Este although the guide did not show us the workings of the fountains, which was disappointing for me.
Get the option without lunch as the food at the chosen restaurant was not enjoyable.

I chose to do this tour because it was a national holiday in Italy and I wasn't sure what would be opened. It was interesting and not too long of a day. The group was split into 2 and we had to ride in a minivan. It wasn't bad but if the ride had been longer I would have been uncomfortable. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and worked hard to make everyone comfortable. The lunch at a local restaurant was good, plenty of food and wine. They tried hard to accommodate one tour member's dietary restrictions even though she was not very cooperative. Hadrian's Villa is mostly ruins but it was interesting. This was a lovely tour if you're looking to get out of the bustle of Rome for the greater part of a day.
