The Colosseum is very large and crowded. Without a guide we would have missed much of the history and many of the details that make it such a world treasure. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and could answer questions from our small group without trouble. It was worth every penny and I would wholeheartedly recommend using this tour to my friends and family!

We opted for this tour in an effort to avoid spending time in long entry lines. The tour does deliver quick access into the Colosseum. The Colosseum is amazing to see. A lot of it is under renovation right now, but that does not detract from the tour. Steps are steep and uneven, but there are elevators for people who need assistance. Our tour guide was very friendly. It just seemed like the tour was longer than it needed to be with “fluff” information or repetitive information provided. We stopped at 3-4 spots in the Colosseum only while the guide provided information about the venue and history of the venue. The guide would propose a question to the group and wait until pretty much everyone in the group gave an answer. That’s fine if it’s a warm day and you’re in the sun, but in a shade spot, it just seemed very drawn out and unnecessary. Made us question if the questions were used to make the tour longer on purpose. If we went back, I would not choose the tour again.

Lots of knowledgeable and interesting facts from our guide. Did feel a little rushed as it was an express tour. Would of preferred to focus on less moments/ points of interest rather than rush through many just to cover them off or if they were available to see, due to many other tour groups. Came away with some knowledge we would not have got on our own, plus the timing was good for all of us on a hot day after an early start.

Skip the line was the real deal, these guys really respected the timing as advertised.

Our tour guid Julia was amazing.

I took my son who is working on school project about the Colosseo and it was quite an experience for both of us, On the other hand Julia our tour guide was far beyond our expectations she was really knowledgeable on the subject and the history of the place and she shared a great deal of information which was not the type you memorized from reading a book.

I really enjoyed the tour!
Getting the ticket (just a sticker on your coat, really!) by presenting the printed voucher was easy and smooth.
After a little waiting, we were greet by our guide, who took us up to the Colosseum and trough the entrance skipping the line in a quick process.
The guided tour itself was very good. The guide was very knowledgeable, always giving us very interesting information.

Rome on its own is an amazing City to visit but the Colosseum is a must visit place, absolutely blown away with the history of this monument.
Skip the tour guide was amazing and well informed with a splash of humour.
This tour isn’t the best type of tour if you have mobility problems.
I would highly recommend!

Colosseum is something you just gotta do when you go to Italy, just like the Pyramids for Egypt or the Eiffel Tower for France. HOWEVER, the line ups are HOURS and the heat gets to you. Also, there are ridiculously expensive tours. Skip the Line Tour provides you with entrance, historic information, AND most importantly, the chance to skip the minimum 3 hour line!

They don't mention this in the advertisement, but you have to be at their meeting point 45 minutes before your appt. time, and their location is NOT easy to find or described well at all. This is not like most skip the lines which are 15 minutes ahead. At any rate, we arrived and there was a long line after having trouble finding the place to begin with, and then they were not polite at all or accomodating. We bought our tickets last minute, so there was no time to call them and explain the situation, so they just referred to the fine print on the voucher (again, not described until you AFTER you purchase), and declined us to join another group in another language just so we could get in. We didn't have too many negative experiences on our trip, but this was one of them and I would hate for another traveler to not know and waste their precious time of their trip this way either. They should simply advertise the location and time frame prior to purchase to avoid this frustration. Hopefully the other reviews about the actual service are good, just know what you are getting into beforehand.

This tour was great and the tour guide Sam was really good, the tour lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes and we were very happy with it. I would say that you should be mindful when booking that you read all the important information that comes with the voucher as you have to be at the office of the company that runs the tours 40-45 minutes before the tour takes place and they are really strict about that. I noticed that there were a couple of people that missed their tours and they do not issue a refund!! We were really happy we booked the skip the line tickets... for the price it is so worth it as the queue was miles long, I would definitely recommend.

The tour guide was lovely and gave a very informative and interesting tour, pointing out a lot of cool things.

However, we spent a full 30 minutes just standing outside the Colosseum, listening to her talk. I think what happened is we were waiting for someone who was late to the tour (but they never showed up), which I guess is considerate of them, but it cut into our time inside the Colosseum which was frustrating. Plus she could have done this talking while standing in line to enter.

Further, your Colosseum tickets grant you entrance to Palatine Hill and the Forum for two days, but our guide said that we didn't each have individual tickets, only one 'group ticket', so we could ONLY enter Palatine Hill and the Forum as a group, which was very annoying as I didn't want to have to set my schedule by the other 15+ people I was grouped with, especially since we had only been inside the Colosseum for about 45 minutes and I wanted to see more of it, so I lost out on the two other sites even though technically I paid for a ticket to them. Not a great policy.
