About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 986jeanlucm0 contributionsBest food that we had in Rome, by a lot! This was an absolute treat. Leila, our guide, was so warm and welcoming. She took such good care of us, and spoke excellent English. Trastavere was such a charming neighbourhood to explore, so even just walking between stops was very pleasant. I found this tour expensive when I booked it, but after doing the tour, I no longer think that. We got a lot of food, and the food was of the highest quality. Another very valuable thing is that this tour separates the good food from the great food. That curation is also worth a lot.Written October 3, 2024

- lorikY3216GO0 contributionsBest cooking class in Rome!!While visiting Rome for the first time this was one of the highlights of my vacation! The class was fun, excellent wine choice and Irene was the absolute best! She made the whole experience one to remember. I highly recommend adding this class to your itinerary while in Rome! Thanks again Irene:-)Written September 28, 2024
- caseyk8850 contributionsMust do experience!!A must do!! It was only 5 of us, which made it such an intimate experience. Irene was our instructor, and she was fabulous!! She reminded us to “not be scared of the pasta” and to “work the pasta with passion”. She continuously refilled our glasses with our choice of Prosecco, white or red wine throughout the class. If you’re going to do the class, which I highly recommend, you should request Irene. She truly made this experience worthwhile. Was a perfect way to spend the our last night in Rome!Written September 28, 2024
- 253katik0 contributionsA must do while visiting Rome!Definitely must do when visiting Rome! A very small class size so it made it easy to converse and get to know other travelers in the group. Irene was our instructor and she was amazing! She made it such a warm and wholesome experience for everyone. Free flowing wine and prosecco throughout while you enjoyed your pasta and tiramisu. I’d highly recommend.Written September 28, 2024

- JackRLar0 contributionsGood but Check it OutGeorgia was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, reliable, friendly and a pleasure to have as a leader. This tour however is a somewhat canned tour as 3 of our stops appeared to be staged from the company. 2 out of the first three at the meeting place are just for tour groups in a small storefront. One other where we had "Lunch & Wine" had 2 other tour groups in it. Check it out before you sign up. We did have 2 very good stops at authentic Roman eateries.Written September 26, 2024

Really disappointing. I always take food tours on different cities but this one was an overpriced trap. The food was some cheeses and pizza that was good but then There was a 1 1/2- 2 hr hiatus waiting for people to shop snd and then the service at a restaurant . They then gave us lousy pasta. It was a waste of money and whole evening on vacation

I had originally booked the day tour but as I was the only person to book that tour I was offered a move to the sunset tour. I am so glad I went for it, from start to finish it was a brilliant experience.
We ended up as a friendly group of 11 (+ the guide) made up from a range of nationalities though everyone joined in and got to know the others.
1st off, our guide Tatiana was brilliant, she was energetic, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very entertaining as well as having a very genuine love of Italian food and wine as well as the city and area.
We had 4 stops and sampled a wide range of different foods and wines (all included in the price) there wasn't a bad mouthful amongst them but my favourite had to be the 1st stop and Nick deserves a lot of praise as he too was very engaging and showed a genuine love for the food and wine.
I have done a few food tours in different countries and cities but this is favourite. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or take another tour myself.

An absolute must if you are visiting the city - we had Jessenia Rojas as our tour guide and she is knowledgeable about anything and everything that you will eat / see / drink on this tour, and is a fountain of knowledge about the entire area. She takes real pride in her work and it shows tenfold in her presentation. Every place you visit on the tour loves Jess, and it's clear why - she has a fantastic feel for the tour and if it's possible, you should absolutely request to have her as your guide. Not to mention, the suggested restaurants on the pamphlet that you receive are all top-notch as well. Thanks to Jess for making this vacation as good as it could have possibly been!

This tour was booked for myself and my mum by a lovely family friend whilst we stayed with them in Rome. Jess was our tour guide and by the end of it, she honestly felt like a friend. She was very knowledgeable, chatty and you could tell that she was apart of the local community as all the people in the market knew her and were happy to see her.
All of the food on the tour was incredible as were the staff members that worked at each place. Having seen the price of the tour, its 100% worth the money as its a good few hours walking around, popping prosecco and eating copious amounts of food!
I must add that we were a group of 1 veggie, 1 vegan and and veggie who is allergic to gluten which was fully catered for!
I highly recommend this tour!

Our family with twin 18 year olds rate this as a highlight of our Stay in Rome. Jess was wonderful, passionate and enthusiastic. We learnt so much. The food was PLENTIFUL and by the end of the evening genuinely felt connected with the group. Highly recommended.

We love food tours. We have done many, all over the world. This is the first time I’ve done a tour where I really didn’t feel we’d been taken anywhere truly memorable.
On the positive side, our tour guide, Dori, was wonderful. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. However, at the last stop on our tour, Zia Rilla (which wasn’t the place listed on the schedule), the waiter was enormously rude to her because we fractionally moved a table so one of our party wasn’t trapped. He then proceeded to almost throw our food at us, and couldn’t have been less hospitable if he’ d tried! We were also constantly under pressure to move on from each place because there was another tour group from the same company following hot on our heels.
The first stop on the tour was a very nice little cafe, and they were very friendly. We enjoyed all the little samples, and Dori’s detailed and interesting information about each item on the plate were fantastic. The location of the cafe is unfortunate, and not somewhere you’d really head back to as a tourist, being in a very unattractive and run down area at the back of a hospital.
The pizza stop was interesting, and we were glad Dori bought wine from the previous stop since it was clearly not good from here. The pizza generated a lot of conversation amongst our truly delightful tour group, with the unusual toppings generating mixed reviews. But the place is easily found on Google, and the staff were not at all interested in visiting tour groups. They didn’t need the business.
Stop three was slightly unfortunate for us, because we had visited the (much more atmospheric) Trastevere branch the day before. The Trapizzino were still delicious, but it’s a shame that two of the tours available visit branches of the same place, and this branch is less good.
I don’t like to leave critical reviews, but I think constructive criticism is warranted in this case. We’d been asked to move to this tour, which we’d willingly done, because the one we’d booked had some kind of issue. I don’t know if the other tour would have been better, but this felt a little lazy and very much like you were on a production line. Despite the food being nice and the drinks plentiful, I’d definitely look elsewhere if were wanting a food tour of Rome in the future. I guess I am used to tours that have been given a little more TLC!

Wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived for our four hour food tour beginning at 1630 BUT, it was outstanding. Our guide, Celeste, was the the perfect guide, very knowledgeable about the area we were in but especially about the food and wine. Top shelf wine served with each of five courses, food was more than ample and just excellent examples of Italian cooking. Nothing but fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. Beautifully plated and served. Dining and walking from place to place was nicely paced, no rush. Alternatives offered if you were’ t sure something was for you. Celeste called for our cabs which arrived promptly to take us back to our hotels at evening end. All in all I’d highly recommend this tour if you want to mix really good food and wine with a beautiful guide and about a dozen friendly people all interested in having a good time. Five Stars!

Absolutely amazing tour from start to finish. Our guide Jess is a beautiful young women who oozes passion and enthusiasm in her role. It is clear from her excellent knowledge that she loves her job and takes great pride in her role and the company she works for. We learnt so much.
All the food from start to finish was impeccable highlight for us was the pizza at Bonci and then the amazing and friendly family run Paciotti Salumeria, I challenge anyone to not come out with a big smile on their face.
Thank you to Jess for a wonderful evening. Thank you to Henry for the amazing concept you have driven and established within your company and for the guidance and information to provided prior to the tour.
100% recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

My brother and I joined this tour on our first full day in Rome, what a fantastic decision! Our guide Ashley did a fabulous job imparting a passion for the food and explaining it in a way that brought both the flavors and culture around it to life. There was also a great mix of people from all walks in life, and the atmosphere, as with any good meal, promoted conversation and connection.
Expect lots of delicious food, wine, and laughs. Also expect some walking between stops, so wear appropriate footwear. Note that there was a person on our tour with food allergies, and they were able to accommodate her (though I would recommend writing ahead, since they are working with small local establishments!).

We had the evening tour with Marilisa and had an absolutely wonderful time. She showed us around with excitement and a clear connection to, and love of the subject including extra information about the cultural norms and expectations. Anyone who said that they did not get enough food must have been really hungry because our whole group left stuffed with three of the best food experiences we had in the city.
