Small group which is easier to see things and navigate. Skipped the lines and was in and out before it really got crowded. Do the earliest one you can.

Dear ebutz072, Visiting the Colosseum early (or later) during the day can be a way of escaping the crowds. However our tours include skip the line entry regardless of their starttime. Lovely to read you found the tour worth doing and appreciated the small group setting in which it is offered = ) Thank you very much for your feedback!

My husband and I took part in the small group tour on Thursday afternoon September 19 with Maria as our guide. She was fantastic, so interesting to listen to, funny, passionate about Roman history. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learned a lot. Many thanks to Maria for such an informative, enjoyable tour.

Great tour!
Jul 2019 • Family
Roma Experience is a great company from their responsiveness in the booking process to the quality of the tour. The meeting spot was clearly set out and someone was waiting for us with a clearly marked sign which took a lot of anxiety away as I was worried we wouldn’t find our guide with all the crowds. Nadia was an excellent guide and we learned so much!

very informative small group tour
Jun 2019 • Family
I highly recommend this tour. The group size was much smaller than the other groups so there was no need for earplugs to hear the guide. Our guide was amazingly informative and gave us a wonderfully detailed experience with all the history. We enjoyed the tour very much and will use them again.

Daniel studied archaeology in Rome and let us in on the interesting details. Lupa means both she wolf and prostitute - in relation to Romulus and Reamus legend. Reamus murdered Romulus for the top job!

Great tour of the Colosseum
Santi was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable even beyond the colosseum and Rome history. He is also a great photographer if anyone wants him To take photos near the colosseum and the area. The surrounding tour of the ruins and palatine were also great and all in 3 hours! Highly recommend! Also ask him for gelato recommendations - great choice!

Well worth it
Generally speaking, tours are not our thing, but this was a great experience. Our tour guide, David, described what we saw in detailed, interesting ways. He kept things at a good pace and gave us time to stop and take photos, and took pictures for us as well. We also received recommendations for restaurants and areas to hang out in the city. The small group tour was nice because other members of the group asked great questions that I wouldn’t have myself. I would recommend the tour to anyone.
