Skip the line is a must in Rome! The Borghese is amazing. The tour was well done. It’s an easy museum to do on your own. An audio guide would’ve been an advantage. The golf cart ride through the park was great - just long enough! Be sure to get some gelato between the end of the tour and the Spanish Steps!

Our guide, Federico, was knowledgeable, intelligent and remembered the name of every person in his group. He brought Villa Borghese's art and sculpture to life, with just enough detail. His knowledge of Bernini, his life and his other works was extensive. I was the only member of our group who had visited this gallwry, and was able to experience it so much more fully than I had decades earlier.

Our guide Carissa (hope this is her name) was exceptional tour guide. She explained everything very clearly and was deeply engaging. I learned a great deal about Bernini. She is a wonderful storyteller! In addition, the museum is doing fantastic job of not over crowding people — so one can really could enjoy the art work in a relaxed manner.

This is a stunning gallery not to be missed for not just the artwork and sculptures, but for the museum itself as well. If you are not able to book the basic timed entry tickets on the Borgehse site (they sell out far in advance) it seems) then this is tour a great option. Much more expensive than just entry tickets, unfortunately, but we did not want to miss this museum, and in hindsight, having a tour guide was so much more valuable that relying on plaques and pamphlets. I wish I could recall her name, as she was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and enjoyable to listen to. The only downside is that it does feel a bit rushed because they have limited time for the tour so you focus on the more popular pieces and move quickly through the rooms, but at the end we were told we could stay longer on our own if we wanted. If you were not able to secure regular entry tickets, this is a good option so that you make sure you don't miss seeing the Borghese. Leave time to wander the park before or after as well, its lovely and great people watching!

Beautiful surroundings and world class artwork. Guide was excellent giving great insights about the collection and the Borghese family.

The Borghese is the setting for the perfect viewing of the most beautiful and famous works of art in the world. The collection of Bernini sculptures is just jaw dropping. The mansion itself is a work of Art. The decorative painting on the walls is astounding by itself but the what is hanging on the walls will make a grown man cry. The Caravaggio paintings are outstanding as are the sections of Mosaic tile floors depicting Gladiatorial matches. I thought that this was the best ticket in Rome.

Silvia was a great guide, very knowledgeable and had a very nice speaking voice. The only problem we had was with the audio support, a lot of the time all you could hear was static. If there’s a way to book with Silvia through the museum, I’d recommend doing it that way to avoid the audio issues.

The guide from Loving Rome tour agency was excellent. Knowledgeable but not overly verbose; kept it interesting and relevant without talking us into boredom with information overload. 15 people in our group.
