At times, for safety reasons, logistics and traffic control, the group may be led by one guide. This choice is at the complete discretion of the Colosseum's administration and security policy of that day in accordance to adequate safety measures. Please be aware that this is only for 30/40 minutes of the total duration of the tour. Our max 6 people policy is guaranteed for the remainder of the duration of the tour.

If you have teens and need to keep them engaged and give them great info, then this is the ONLY tour to book. It is a full day but you NEVER wait in a line. Pamen, our lovely local tour guide, provided us great info and history throughout the day. Our two teens stayed engaged and Pamen helped the history of Rome come alive for them. It may seem like a lot to fit into one day, but with all the private and exclusive access along with the private driver between sites, we never once felt rushed at any site!
The day starts early with a private driver to the Vatican from you hotel. You can actually get quick breakfast coffee and pastry at the local cafe when they drop you off outside the Vatican entrance around 7:30 Early 8:00 am access to the Vatican Museums, Tapestry Room, Map Room, Papal apartments and of course the Sistine Chapel were all fantastic and, though you are not alone in the Museums and Chapel, you definitely had the feel you were on an exclusive tour. The Basilica was beautiful and again we had access to the catacombs under St. Peter's Basilica which was an added bonus.
From there, the private driver for our family and our guide Pamen, took us to many of the sites including Trevi Fountain and the great stop at the Pantheon. The tour is tailored to basically whatever sites you want to see at this time. With a private driver, you can cover a lot of sites in a short amount of time and we even had time for a little pizza stop to refuel the kids!
The exclusive access to the Colosseum Underground was worth the tour price by itself (there were less than 20 people when were there that were granted access to the Underground and you definitely need LivItaly to get you this access). Don't worry, you get to see the rest of the Colosseum as well from the main arena floor and from the 1st and 2nd levels as well!
Then off to the Forum and Palatine Hill!! Again lots to see but Pamen's knowledge kept every one engaged and informed.
Pamen was so much fun! We had the best experience with her and loved seeing Rome!!! She was very engaging and made our day amazing! Thanks again, Pamen!!!

We enjoyed a FULL day of sightseeing and experiences with the most knowledgeable guide we have ever been with: SEV!
Sev led us through all the major sites of Rome. He secured our skip the line tickets, entertained us with historically accurate facts about every site, and flawlessly navigated all the museums, transportation, and streets of Rome. He was knowledgeable, energetic, and personable. The guards at the museums were obviously fond of him as they let our group pass with no hesitation at all the sites. He knew the primo spots for photos along with interesting trivia about each site. Beginning at 7:45 am, we visited the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, St Peters, Navona, Pantheon, Trevi, Colosseum, Palatine, Forum, Caesars Temple, Arch of Titus, on foot and by Mercedes van, finishing the day at 5:30 pm! It was a simply wonderful way to see all the highlights in a day so we each could decide what we wanted to return to the following day. We took two tours with Livtours and they 100% gave us top notch guides and their tours exceeded the description of what we expected.
Sev’s perfect English, knowledge, enthusiasm, and positive energy made this one of the best vacation days of our lives! I’d give this tour 100 stars if I could!

Skip all other tours in Rome. Not kidding. The tour that sets a maximum of 6 people provides that perfect balance with a personalized trip and a cost effective method to see the city. Patrizia Lucchetti was our guide and was just spectacular. All you will see around is large groups with ear pieces, skip that and go for this. You will not be disappointed.

This was by far, hands down, the BEST tour I have EVER been on. Our tour guide, Luca, made us feel like we were old friends. We only had one day to tour Rome and this tour was absolutely worth every penny. This was my 6th time in Rome, but it was the first time I really felt like I learned about the city we were exploring. We were traveling with our three sons ages 16, 14 and 11 and they not only loved every minute of the tour, but they have been sharing with others what they learned (which makes this history teacher mama proud). Our 11 year old was telling his friends a story Luca told us on our tour as we went trick or treating for Halloween. Keeping the groups to a maximum of 6 people means you can go at your own pace, ask all the questions you would like and you don’t have to worry about competing to hear what the tour guide is saying. It felt like it was customized to our interests, because Luca did such a tremendous job of making sure we got to see what was important to us and hear stories that would interest us. I have already told a friend who is going to Italy in August that she not only has to take this tour, but she absolutely MUST request Luca as their tour guide! Grazie Mille for a wonderful day and for helping us make memories that will last a lifetime.

This Rome in a day tour was the best! It was our first visit to Rome and we had limited time to spend, so this covered all the high points and destinations. Dario was so fun and knowledgeable about all our stops. The tour covered all the stops mentioned in the description and we got to skip the lines, which was amazing! We never felt rushed. Dario answered all our questions and took time to explain all kinds of details to us that we'd never know if we had been doing our own walk through. He was also willing to take pictures and share special locations for the best pictures, which I loved! It was incredible to see the sites that we have only seen in pictures or on television. You won't be disappointed if you book this tour, especially if you get Dario as your guide. Thanks LivTours and Dario! We will definitely recommend this tour and tour company to family and friends and look for LivTours at other destinations in the future.

Our tour guide Barbara was excellent! She was very knowledgeable, funny, and kind. This tour started at 07:30 and ended around 17:00. Surprisingly, she still had so much energy to stay positive with us and make jokes while taking me and my fiance all around Rome. She was so kind to leave us time to go to the bathroom, get souvenirs, and water breaks during the tour. We ate pizza together during lunch and Barbara also taught us tips on local culture. She also gave us a restaurant list of some great restaurants and foods to try in the city center of Rome. We had a wonderful time with Barbara and would definitely recommend her as anyone's tour guide with LivTours! Thank you Barbara for being so kind!

Gio was amazing! Car service picked us up at 7:00 am at our hotel for early access to Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel. We had extra time and toured a local market and visited the Pantheon. We went on to grab a quick bite for lunch and did the underground tour and regular tour of the Coliseum and walked the forum. Gio is a wealth of knowledge and an outstanding guide. Her English is top notch. Worth every penny if you have limited time in Rome and want to see everything without the crowds. We basically had the Vatican Museum to ourselves and the Sistine Chapel was NOT crazy busy.

What a great experience it was!!! We wanted to see Rome's highlights in one day and this tour made it all possible. Our guide Giulia was the best, she is very passionate about the city and its history and very knowledgeable as well. We learned a lot of interesting details during the tour. It was amazing to see the Vatican City and its museums and experience the ancient ruins in the city. This was definitively the best option I can think of if one wants to see all the important things in one day.

Both Veronica and Mara were wonderful in our tours: Vatican (Veronica) and Colosseum and Ancient Rome (Mara).
Informed, amazing and caring!!!
I appreciate all the troubles they went through with me being in a wheelchair because I had just broken my foot in Florence.
Veronica even took us to a good restaurant after the Vatican tour and Mara engaged our teens with her knowledge and humor.
We fully recommend these tours to anyone visiting Italy!!
