Overview

A bike tour is a fabulous way to discover any city. Yet, when navigating Rome’s notorious seven hills, a little extra oomph never went amiss. Choose between electric-assisted bicycles or top-quality trekking bikes on this classic Rome bike tour that checks off all the key highlights in just one day: the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, St. Peter’s Basilica, an Italian lunch, and so much more.

What to Expect

Greet your guide in central Rome, don your helmet, and learn how to use your electric-assisted bicycle. While the exact route varies, you can expect to see key highlights of ancient Rome, Renaissance Rome, and religious Rome.

Admire the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. Savor a traditional Italian lunch of appetizers, pizza or pasta, and wine or soft drink at a local trattoria. See St. Peter’s Basilica and Castel Sant’Angelo. Break for a gelato amid the colorful streets of Trastevere, view the Jewish Ghetto, and climb the Capitoline Hill. Your tour will end where you began.

A great overview of the essentials if you've only got a day

Had a great time riding the e-bikes, it saved us on the hills and there were a few! We managed to see all the big essential sights, and you don't get as in-depth, but this tour is handy to get a good feel for Rome,...More

Actually, @Liz C is right we did go into the Parthenon briefly, but not into any other sites that had fees to go in, such as the Colesseum.

If your concern is the traffic, don't worry because it's mostly off the main roads so the day doesn't make much difference. Steve H
