    Best Colosseum tour!
Fantastic guide in a small group setting (our tour was only 2 families and a total of 6 people). Guide was very knowledgeable and efficient.

    A Great Experience!
It was a long day but totally worth it not just because of where we were going but also because of our tour guide Angelina Militello and the coach driver. With an early morning start, the City Wonders coordinator was there to organize everyone into groups depending on the tour they were taking. Once in the bus, a 2 hour drive to Pompeii with a bathroom/coffee stop on the way. Angelina was very knowledgeable, communicative, entertaining, enthusiastic, we could not have asked for a better guide . Even though it was a tour for English speakers, her knowledge of several languages including Spanish helped some of the participants in better understanding what she was explaining. Once we arrived in Poompeii, Angelina handed our group over to Mauro, the Pompeii expert, for this part of the tour. He too was great, very knowledgeable, engaging and funny at times. This part lasted 1 1/2 hrs. From here our tour continued southbound towards the Amalfi coast with its breath taking views with a stop at a Limoncello manufacturer for a tasting and then on to the beautiful town of Positano for our late lunch. All the while Angelina was explaining the history and telling us stories of the area. Our return to Rome took longer, around 4 hrs as a result of having gone further south to visit the Amalfi coast and town. I highly recommend this tour, my family and I were amazed, delighted with the sites, the history and the cultural aspect of this journey. Yes it's a long tour but as long as you are mentally prepared, wear comfortable clothes and shoes, bring along a bottle of water (although there are plenty of opportunities to buy bottles along the way) you will not regret it! Thank you Angelina and coach driver for a memorable day!

    Best Tour in Rome
Excellent Tour. The Guide, Devine was outstanding. He did an excellent job of the explanation and tour of the underground. Gave a very detailed review and everyone on the tour loved it. We had a number of young adults with us( 13- 14 year old) who loved it

First time Rome and visiting the Colosseum. The tour guide was awesome and very knowledgeable. It was nice skipping the lines and getting inside really quick. You won't be disappointed and glad you went with tour company. Would definitely recommend them.

    Excellent tour and excellent guide
The tour was wonderful. It departed on time and all the information was conveyed through individual headsets which really helps in a busy place such as the Colosseum. Our guide Nico was absolutely fantastic. He was calm and made sure everyone could remain with the group. He was very knowledgeable and the information was well timed and the delivery well paced. He brought the places we visited to life and his knowledge was very impressive. Thank you Nico

    Our Guide, Claudia!!
The views were amazing….. something a camera cannot properly capture. The trip was filled with landscapes, culture, excellent food experience with wine, great shopping in quaint stores. But the trip was 5 star +++ because of our guide, Claudia. She was fun, entertaining, educational and such an enjoyable trip. If you can… ask for Claudia!!!!

    Great day!
We booked a day trip to Pompeii as part of our stay in Rome. We met the guides in Piazza Del Popolo on the morning of the trip and was allocated to Laura’s group. Laura was so friendly, knowledgeable and good humoured and kept us all entertained during the drive to Pompeii. We made a short stop along the way to use toilets and grab a drink/ snack. We were split into 2 groups and allocated a new guide for Pompeii itself- our guide being Giancarla. The 2 hour walk around the city was so interesting and definitely sped past. Of course you cannot see everything in that time but having a guide to explain what you were seeing was invaluable. A great experience. Laura arranged a takeaway pizza lunch for those of us who were interested (€15 each) from a local restaurant which we ate back on the coach on our way to Positano. Laura continued to explain what we were seeing along the drive but also gave us time to rest as the round trip is a long day- approximately 13 hours. Our driver for the day was Giovanni who was great, especially on the winding coastal roads leading to Positano. The coach can only get so far before you have to switch onto a smaller mini van for the final descent down to Positano and ascent back up afterwards (all arranged by City Wonders). We had about 1.5 hours in Positano to look around ourselves before we needed to be back on the coach for the drive back. It was a long but thoroughly enjoyable day, seeing much more of the country than we would have otherwise and learning so much along the way. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.

    Stay at Amalfi Longer
Amazing trip overall! The Pompeii guide, Enrique, was especially entertaining and knowledgeable. I would recommend staying at the Amalfi Coast as long as possible. This tour offers a good appetizer of each site but trust me—you want the meal!

    Loved this Tour
This was my favorite tour the whole time I was in Rome! Anna was the best tour guide. She was knowledgeable and fun. Tistiano was a great driver as well. I appreciate the structure of this trip as well. It was very well done and enjoyable.

Must See & Must Skip the Line
You can’t miss this tour while in Rome! These are some of the most beautiful sites I saw in my life and the price is worth it for “skip the line” alone.

Borghese is amazing, I recommend it to anyone who loves art or wants to see art by all of the famous “master” artists. However you’re paying extra (twice as much) to skip the line, which really means you’re paying someone to stand outside and hand you a ticket.

If you book direct through borghese for a self guided tour you get a free hand held guide with your ticket.

Borghese itself is EXCELLENT, and you do have to book a time but the 'line' you are paying to skip simply doesn't exist. This is a scam. And there are still multiple lines, one to get this ticket, one to check bags (not even allowed to take in a handbag) and then a line to get into the gallery, none of which are skip-able. This is a hassle because you have to find the person with the tickets (getting in a line to do that, by the way) and it is a guy/gal with a cellphone and a clipboard. NOT worth it, save your money.

Highly recommend the tour. You get 2 hours in the gallery itself and whilst you cover quite a bit you are only scratching the service. The guide was very informed and receptive to questions. The tour had a very good narrative so I came out of it feeling I had learnt loads. The art itself is unforgettable.

This costs almost two times more than a normal entrance fee(15 euros), without tour guide but just a ticket. I only realized this when we gathered in front the gallery to collect tickets.

As was publicized, I went to reserve tickets to the Borghese Museum to see the fabulous Bernini marbles. I thought that skip the line sounded like a good idea and did not read the fine print. City Wonder tours charged more than double the going rate for the entrance tickets. Nothing came with the tickets; no audio guide. Nothing. Just a surly City Wonders employee who got paid for doing nothing! We could have walked straight in and bought tickets for the regular rate. Do not fall for this!

Dear flygirl_05, Thanks for posting a review on Trip Advisor. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm disappointed to hear that the activity did not meet your expectations. The tickets you purchased in City Wonders give you the skip the line access to the Gallery as advertised on the website, we don't publicise anything different that we actually offer. If you were expecting a guided tour we also have the fully guided tour you could have select instead. Thanks for your feedback. Have a great weekend. Barbara City Wonders Team

Don’t spend $43 per person for skip the line tickets in October At Borghese Gallery. Tickets were $15 at the door and there was no line. Don’t get ripped off like we did.

Dear JenniferA2148, Thanks for leaving your review on Trip Advisor. We are sorry to hear you are disappointed about the service offered by City Wonders. We would like to specify that you purchased tickets through a third company and for this reason City Wonders can't be responsible about the exact amount paid. We would like to clarify that it's impossible to purchase the tickets at the venue directly and if you wish to buy tickets yourself you have to get them online months in advance. As Tour Operator we do all this long process for our clients, and this is the reason of the higher price. Thanks again for leaving your review. Kind Regards Barbara City Wonders Team

The skip the line was not necessary as we were able to get in just as quickly without the tickets for skip the line. Your guides were not consistent with the history behind each of the art works. The pre recorded headsets which could be bought were better and cheaper.

Hello Argiro S, Thank you for posting a review on our site. Please note that we arrange a specific timed entry at the venue for you, which includes the skip the line, but also secures your visit to the Gallery. On the other hand, we were disappointed to hear that your tour didn't meet up your expectations. We have forwarded this to the relevant department in order to be looked at and followed up with the guide in case it's needed. We appreciate your feedback, as this helps us to improve the quality of our services. Looking forward to welcoming you on tour in the near future. Best regards, Moisés, City Wonders team.

I wish I bought it from the normal website of the museum. This company didn't even wait for 5 mins for us. There was traffic and we were a little late. They could have left our tickets at the entrance but they didn't so our money is wasted.

Dear zrekkal1, Thanks for your time to leave a comment about City Wonders. We are sorry for the inconvenience happened. City Wonders is not able to accommodate late arrivals, as in order to avail the skip the line access our tour group needs to enter at the scheduled time or the entire group will lose this benefit. We understand that travel in a foreign city can be difficult sometimes and lateness can happen, if this was your case we would have been happy to reschedule your activity for another day or to offer you some other alternatives. We invited you to contact us directly at info@citywonders.com with any relevant information. Thank you for leaving us your review once again. We hope to hear from you soon. Kind Regards Barbara City Wonders Team

Our plane to Italy was delayed leaving the states by almost 3-4 hours due to weather resulting in arriving FCO during the lunch hour instead of 9:40 AM Italian time. The lack of Passport personnel during the lunch hour resulted in further delays exiting the airport where we had a driver who had monitored the flight arrival and was still waiting. Kudos to the travel service in Rome "MilesandMiles" for the FCO pickup. By the time we got the hotel checked in and headed for the Borghese Gallery, we did not get to the place to meet the person who would exchange our voucher for tickets. The voucher said "Please arrive at strictly 2:45 PM" so the person was no where around. Did they meet the conditions of the voucher. Yes. Was there any way to have avoided the loss of tickets through no fault of ours. No. Be advised that getting "Skip the Line" tickets in Rome can be a total loss due the vagaries of travel. Furthermore, I would add that getting advance tickets is not always necessary depending on the time and day you plan to visit all the places that offer "Skip the Line" service.

Dear 537donp, Many thanks for posting your review. As stated on our vouchers we cannot wait for late arrivals as the skip the Line tickets have a specific time entrance to be used and after that time they expire. Besides, we cannot ask to other people who arrive on time to wait extra minutes as a matter of respect and also because they risk to lose the entrance time to enter the venue and the skip the line. If you wish to further discuss this matter, you can contact us with your booking reference. We do offer alternatives for clients arriving late, such as rescheduling or using credit to book a different tour. I am looking forward to hearing back from you. Kind regards, Federica City wonders

The gallery is superb but the system of collecting tickets was poorly organised and confusing. The email sent when the booking should make it quite clear where the tickets are to be collected and who to look for to obtain the tickets. Many people around as were equally agitated.
