First Entry Sistine Chapel Tour with St. Peter’s Basilica & Vatican Crypts
From $60.42
Overview

Beat the crowds at the Sistine Chapel by entering the Vatican Museums complex an hour and 30 minutes before it opens to the public on this early access tour. Avoid the often hours-long lines and admire the Sistine Chapel in relative tranquility. Gaze upwards at Michelangelo's world-famous frescoes without bumping into other tourists. Plus, you'll explore St Peter's Basilica and the rarely-seen Vatican Crypts.

What to Expect

Your early morning experience of the Vatican begins outside of the landmark, where you’ll greet your guide and head straight inside a full hour and 30 minutes before it opens to the general public.

As you head to the Sistine Chapel, your guide provides some historical context. You'll then enjoy the space in a crowd-free environment, allowing you to gaze up at Michelangelo's world-famous frescoes without interruption. Admire Michelangelo’s iconic ceiling fresco, The Creation of Adam, and The Last Judgment, in a serene environment.

Once your time in the Sistine Chapel concludes, you’ll continue on to St Peter's Basilica, where you'll enjoy skip-the-line access, and visit the rarely-seen Vatican Crypts. Your tour ends back in St Peter's Square where you can enjoy the Vatican's impressive architecture.

Highlight of our vacation

This was money well spent. You cannot put a price tag on being the first into the Sistine Chapel. You had the ability to walk around and take it all in without being shoulder to shoulder with a crowd. After about a half hour in...More

The guided tour is about a hour to a hour and a half, though once the guide is finished you can spend as much time there as you would like.
