Solid tour of Pompeii, plan to spend extra time afterwards to visit more sites
This Pompeii tour gave an overview of life in Pompeii. Our guide did a nice job of escorting us on a walking tour through Pompeii, teaching us the history of the area and learning about how the people who lived in the time of Pompeii conducted their lives. It's a short tour at 1.5 ish hours. While we saw some of the more significant sites within Pompeii, I had been there 20+ years ago and knew that there were a number of things that we didn't see (perhaps because they were further away and would require more walking than the <2 hour tour would permit us to see?) such as the Garden of Fugitives, the brothel (which our guide had mentioned to us but didn't take us to see), and the House of the Vettii which has some interesting decorative frescoes on the walls. So plan on spending extra time after the tour to visit these (and potentially other) additional sites while you're in Pompeii.

Don't book on TripAdvisor, just buy on site.
Just buy your tickets on site. No fast track necessary, didn't even use the tickets we purchased bc after we parked in the Zeus parking lot it was a 10 minute walk down the hill to use the TripAdvisor tickets, before you had to walk back to.the entrance. The antiquarium was closed when we visited. Don't do a tour either. It only covers the first two areas and not even the whole place. It's a LONG process from what we saw of the groups. We didn't do a tour after we did a tour at colossseum bc of how boring it was and we could move around faster on our own. They told us there weren't places to know what things were but everything had signs and labels. They just wanted us to have an upcharge to have a tour. Those people looked miserable. Don't buy on TripAdvisor, you will have to go out of your way to recieve their tickets.

      Amazing place
Amazing place made better by our tour guide Laura. Although it was a large group, with the ear pieces provided, we could hear clearly. Highly recommend.

4th time was a charm with our guide Laura
I've been on this tour 3 other times only because it was included in my entire italy tour package. I went again because my family that I traveled with had never been to Pompei. I honestly did not want a 4th tour of it but must say our tour guide Laura made this so interesting. I learned more from her than my previous 3 guides together. I'm happy I went again.

      Great overview of Pompei
Mano was very good. We had a small group and she made sure we did not loose anyone as we moved through the park. Great overview.

      Pompeii Private Tour
Ciro Garofalo is a fantastic tour guide. He took us on a private tour of Pompeii and taught us about it's history in a fun and exciting way. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and gracious throughout the duration of our tour. Would highly recommend Ciro to anyone seeking a tour of Pompeii.

Very good expirience with the best host
I had the 2hr guided tour of the Pompe ruins with Ciro Garofalo at my last trip on May 4 and what an amazing experience it was. Ciro was very informative, patient and extremely pleasant. We truly enjoyed every minute of the tour. Thank you Ciro!

      Pompei tour with Ciro
It is amazing place, I strongly recommend to take quided tour. It might seems expensive, but it is definitively worth the money, you would miss so much without that. Our guid was Ciro G. and I must admire his great peformance, very engaging, full of facts and able to answer all details about the place and everything around, thank you.

A great day in Pompeii with Ciro G.
We joined a guided tour with a big group at the entrance. Ciro Garofalo was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgable and fun. He eagerly answered every question anyone had with enthusiasm. He helped transporting us back 2000 years to see what life was like in Pompeii showing us everything from food stalls to explaining the sewage system. On top on that he handled weather issues(hail and rain!), technical headphone problem and managing the group's pace professionally. Pompeii on its own is already magnificent but having someone provide context, pointing out things to look for make such a difference. Our time was limited but we could have spent the whole day there. Get ready to walk and be ready for changes in weather. Bring snacks and water.

      Great tour with Laura
We were fortunate to visit Pompei while we were in Italy with another couple. Laura did a fantastic job telling us the history of what happened to the city of Pompeii so sad. She made sure her group was all together.

I have never been a fan of guided tour, but this one was absolutely great. Our guide, Ciro G. was friendly, very knowledgeable and organised. He took us on an just over two hours tour, showing notable buildings and explaining the history of Pompeii very well. The group was quite large but we were provided with headset so that everyone could hear our guide very well. Ciro G. also gave us some tips on what to continue to visit in our own time if we wished to. Highly recommended.

      Excellent tour
Visited Pompeii, which has always been a "bucket-lister" for me and were fortunate to get Laura as our guide. Great information and knowledge of the area and explained everything superbly. Really made the day. Thank you

      Terrific Tour
We took a tour with Ciro G who was terrific, very engaging and knowledgeable with an infectious laugh. He supplied headphones so that we could hear him above the noise, and he really brought Pompei to life for us.

Well organized. We arrived by car, parking is free in a nearby restaurant, walk from parking to site entrance is around 10 minutes. You first need to redeem the tickets, it is very easy to do, it is done in the second floor of the train station almost in front of the entrance to Pompeii. The audio guide works well. There wasn’t any line the day we visited so we couldn’t try the skip the line. We had a good experience.

When we arrived at Pompeii we were offered to "upgrade" for 10 euros each to have a tour guide. Unfortunately, the tour guide was not polite, would not answer questions, was arrogant and we could not understand him. Wish we had just done the tour, as planned, alone together with the audio.

We did really like seeing Pompeii.

Dear Joan, we are really sorry to read this. Our tour guides are really professional and explicative. Being a group tour they cannot reply to all the questions because there are groups of max 30 people. Maybe you should have bought a private solution, more expensive but definitely more indicated for your needs Best regards

The audioguide along with the map is messy to follow, not every part of the site has a comment, the map doesnt show us where we can see the casts of Pompeii people, we were not told at the desk either. The site is so big, we could not see everything in 5 hours, but if it was marked where to find the casts we wouldnt have seen 5 hours of just stones and paintings.
Beautiful and incredible site and experience though.

Dear, I'm happy you enjoyed the visit in Pompeii. By the way, our front office employeers always suggest customers to enjoy a guided tour because audioguides give the basic info and you don't have a GPS, you must follow a map, and it's not so easy if you don't know the area (We are talking about 8km). See you next time

The agency is across the street from Porta Marina which is very convenient however the clerk didn’t have anymore headsets which made it very hard to follow the tour because the volume was very low on the phone as a result I did not use it. Upon returning the phone he inspected the phones and was trying to find something wrong with them, it was in my pocketbook the whole time. Then he tried to upsell an archeological tour to us, of course for more money. Would not use them again!

Audio device ran out of battery an hour into a 2 and a half tour. Guide was great but It would have been better if device was fully charged. Device was for my son, had baby written on it. I gave him my adult device. He enjoyed the tour.

Pompeii was mind blowing. However, the audio tour was completely useless. Neither map provided matched the audio device. We were unable to use any of the audio or maps provided, and had to use our personal phones for Google Maps. Definitely felt that they were pushing us to purchase a guide for a higher price, once we arrived. Do not recommend the audio guide tour.

Dear we are sorry to read this. By the way, we always provide a detailed map with audioguides, informing customers that they have to follow the points indicated on that map. About the tour, we don't force anyone. It's only another service that we offer (a better one), and we explain clients the difference. But you are more than free to choose what you want, as you did actually. We hope to see you again

Pompeii is a place you need to visit at least once in your lifetime but, i wouldn't go back. You walk or you are standing during all the time you are there. Nowhere to sit and only one expensive place to eat. Definitely not a walk in the park!

Awful audio guide. No headphones or earpieces provided. Very confusing. Don’t waste your time or money with this provider.
Don’t give them 4 euro for bag storage. It’s free at Pompeii entrance.

Dear Rob, we always appreciate our customers opinion, but please: speak the truth! Our audioguides are phones and it is clearly written on the website that we don't provide earpieces for Pandemic situation. For the luggages: we always inform our client that at the entrance they can leave it for free but it is not supervised. Best regareds
