We were fortunate to find Emmy after a long day of travel we arrive to the archaeological site around 4 PM and met Emmy at the front entrance. She was highly knowledgeable and very good with kids as well. Her Spanish level is extremely good. I would suggest any for anybody looking for a personalized tour of the grounds. Don’t do Pompeii without her.

Emanuela was just fantastic. She approached us and we initially decided not to go with her (we were skeptical after doing a big group tour in rome on value). But I had heard many times Pompeii was hard to appreciate without a guide, so we requested the staff to find her. She was unbelievably kind, no soliciting/just generally interested in showing Pompeii, and her knowledge was incredible. I'm from a medical background and tend to ask detailed questions - esp given the historical significance of Pompeii. She knew so much. At one point, I was asking very specific questions out of curiosity simply because her command of the history was unparalleled. We did a similar tour in Herculaneum with a different guide who was no where near as an expert. Around 45 minutes in, I was enjoying the tour so much that I requested the longer version and was worth every dollar/euro. Emanuela is kind, her husband works in a hotel in Positano, she had a wonderful personality and felt like a friend showing us her home area, her knowledge was second to none, and her pace was perfect. She's one of the true gems that is hard to find on TripAdvisor when big groups get so many more reviews and views. She was a star on a trip filled with many highlights. Cannot recommend any higher! Just a wonderful person and tour guide, and feel so lucky she approached us!
