What to expect
  • Make your own way to the meeting point by the entrance to Pompeii’s archaeological site in time for a 9am, 12.30pm, or 2.30pm (depending on tour option chosen). After meeting your guide, set out on a guided walking tour of the ancient Roman city and marvel over the remarkably preserved ruins. Learn how the city was buried by the AD79 eruption of the nearby Mt Vesuvius volcano and see ruins that date back to as early as the 7th century BC. Stand in awe before the world’s oldest surviving Roman amphitheater, hear stories of Roman life as you wander the Forum, and listen as your guide points out the Roman Baths, the Termopolium Capuano and the House of the Tragic Poet. With a tour commentary specially tailored to engage younger participants, the whole family can get involved, and kids will enjoy learning fun trivia and taking part in interactive activities, including visual learning tools such as pop-up books and iPad games. Best of all, skip-the-line access to the archeological site means that children won’t get bored waiting in the long queues. At the end of the tour, your guide will be happy to recommend nearby restaurants or assist with transport back to your hotel. Please note: Children must be accompanied by their parents at all times.

Stop: 3 hours - Admission included
Fact-filled fun in a World Heritage site. Participate in an interactive tour geared specifically toward children’s entertainment and education. This hands-on exploration of the best-preserved city of the ancient Roman Empire is exceptional. In 79 A.D., Mt. Vesuvius erupted, burying the thriving civilization of Pompeii in ash and lava. Buried until the 18th Century, the excavated ruins are a World Heritage site known the world over. With an adept English-speaking tour guide, your family will climb the steps of an ancient theatre, drink from original fountains and cross the thresholds of early restaurants. Learn and play together in this outdoor mecca of history as you walk the cobbled streets. Visit homes, thermal baths and temples. This is a land that time forgot. See rare examples of intact art and architecture, representative of an advanced civilization rich in tradition and culture. Sightseeing can be overwhelming for children when it involves waiting in boring lines to see places and artefacts they don’t understand. With this tour, your children are the centre of the activity. With privileged, reserved admission to historic sites, there’s no boredom and fidgeting in long lines. Interactive visual learning tools, pop-up books, iPad games and trivia are tailored to delve into areas that will pique the curiosity of children. The customized tours engage children in effortless learning. Each tour is rich in art, culture and history. Your children will enjoy a feast for the senses as they take in new colours, sights and sounds. Don’t miss your chance to discover the wonders of Pompeii.

muito bacana, ainda da um certo medo quando se olha para o Vesuvio e o ve ali tao pertinho. acho que um pouco mais de informaçao e mais pontos de apoio ao turista seria bacana (banheiro e bar)
