Rain, Rain, and some more Rain. But we did see Pompeii. We was supposed to see Mt. Vesuvius and Naples, but the rain, lightning and hail kept us from seeing those two sites. We did get to eat and then got a short tour of Pompeii. The guide was very apologetic about the rain and what we couldn't do, but couldn't give us any refunds or credit, it was up to City Wonders. If it wasn't raining (flooding) then this tour would be the one to take. PS. I did email City Wonders about what had happened and they did give us 20% back on our ticket.

Very reliable transfer service. Flexibel vith time arrangements due to cancelled flight. Polite and nice gentleman driver. Felt very safe. Reasonable price (150€) for four adults from Praiano to Naples.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Sorrento Tour Guide! They helped us transfer between Rome and Positano and took us on an amazing tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Everyone, from Antonio the co-owner who drove us to Positano to our wonderful and informed guide, was absolutely terrific. The tour included terrific information, a private and safe feel, and a wonderful stop for lunch at a beautiful winery at the foothills of Mount Vesuvius. I had always wanted to travel to Pompeii and see this site, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Wonderful!

Antonio was the best host and driver I have ever had. He is extremely nice it's like being with your really fun uncle. Super punctual and informative since you're experiencing the Amalfi coast with a local. We laughed the whole ride. He took us around to the Amalfi coast as well as Positano (I loved him so much I booked him twice). If you are looking for an experience and knowledgeable driver you cannot go wrong with Antonio. When I come back I will book him again hands down!!

I spent 6 weeks in Sorrento this summer and Antonio was my driver for the bulk of it. In the beginning, I tried several other drivers but I found Antonio to be the most reliable. He was extremely communicative, helpful, and trustworthy. I knew I could always call him or text him at any time of the day and he would do his best to help me. I’ve been in the Amalfi Coast for over a month, and I can whole heartedly say that Antonio gave me the best experience as a driver! I was in November in the city of Pompeii after a few days in Rome ... I liked the latter a lot more ... I found order and cleanliness ... and if you like history do not forget to visit this city that had a catastrophe in in 79 AD ... a city worth visiting ... you can take an excursion from Rome ... you go to the Civitatis website and everything is very simple ... 140 euros person ... or you go on your own and the entrance costs 40 euros ... but it is not included tourist guide food ... the first is worth its price

Our half day tour of Naples by car and on foot was just what we wanted. Our driver, Antonio, expertly drove us through Naples while our guide, Antonella, gave us the history of the sights we were passing by —the Royal Palace, the Naples Cathedral and the Posillipo quarter where we saw incredible views of the Bay of Naples. It was the perfect mix of driving and walking for us. Antonella’s knowledge of the city was impressive and her humor was refreshing. Her tips on good restaurants to try and shops to investigate were much appreciated. I highly recommend Antonio and Antonella and their half day city tour of Naples.

Ilaria was a wonderful guide. She was very knowledgeable and gave us the key insights into what life was like in Pompei. We truly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it.

I would give this tour a 10/10 review. Ilaria made our experience way better than we could have imagened. She had answers to all of our questions and is very educated. Ilaria is a licensed local tour guide who is wonderful. You can do local sights or historical tours. Her knowledge is vast and she is so much fun to be with. We chose to take a boat ride around Capri and then had lunch at the top of Annacapri at Ristorante da Gelsomina. Had the best ravioli pasta EVER. Ilaria is always aware of time and really can personalize anything you want. Perfect English.

We visited Pompeii and Herculaneum the same day: Pompeii acheological site presents an large ancient Roman town, and Herculaneum presents a very well preserved rich suburb, so these two are complimentary to each other. We had a private guided tour by Ilaria Montuori, a certified guide, who was very good and pationate, made our tour very interesting and we were able to learn many more things about the roman life 2000years ago. We strongly recommend Ilaria (Sorrento Tour Guide) for the important information she provided throughout the tour; in addition, we were able to skip the long lines and use the fast line for guided tours. Using the public trains (not private buses) from Napoli Piazza Garibaldi Train station, (take the Circumvesuviana trains that connect Naples with Herculaneum, Pompeii, and Sorrento) is an easy and economical way to reach the sites. Ilaria was with us through the train journey, because we met at the central station in Naples, so she was able to tell us things about the sites we were going to visit.
