Car rental at Florence train station with Italycarrent - good experience with the premium package
Rented a car from the Florence train station with Italycarrent and everything was great. A few hints: 1. We paid 10 Euros extra (total not per day) for the Premium package - this allowed us to skip the line at the train station and go directly to the garage where we picked up the car and were on our way within 5-10 minutes or so. 2. I provided all of my paperwork to them online which also saved time at pickup. 3. The guy at the train station office initially said I had to wait in line, until I was a bit more insistent at which point he focused and directed me to the garage. My guess is that the wait at the train station was going to be about an hour or so otherwise. I also bought their highest end insurance package, not sure whether it mattered or not as we did not have any problems. When I emailed them as my rental time drew nearer, they were responsive and led me through everything I needed to send to make the process fast and easy. My view was that if I bought all of their highest end add-ons the price was still pretty good. Turned out to be a good decision and the price was still in the range of more basic offerings with other agencies.

      Overall good experience.
Seeing the ruins with an adequate English speaking guide. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared many facts about Pompeii with us.

      Private Van to Airport
Our flight was in the early morning, so in order to get to the airport for security check, we had to leave very, very early from our hotel. We decided we didn't really want to walk or try to find a taxi at 3:00 AM, so we opted for a private driver instead. Our driver was EXACTLY on time. I mean, down to the literal minute. He was quick, thorough, conversational (and funny) and got us to the airport with plenty of time to spare. It was definitely worth not having to walk or worry about getting a taxi so early.

Beautiful monasterium! Unique columns in the courtyard garden. Near the entrance you can drink cheap cappuccino and eat pastries in air-conditioned room or on terrace under umbrella. Located in atmospheric district. Church is only open for visitors in the morning, monastery from 9.30-17.30. Tip: go early in the morning then it is not so busy.

Particular site to visit on a beautiful day to appreciate the cloister. Certainly interesting also for the history of the monastery over the centuries

The cloister with the portico and the central columns in the garden, the benches with ceramics, are very characteristic. Also worth seeing is the museum, with relics, clothes and the baths. There is a free audio guide inside via QR code that accompanies the route.
. The church is very beautiful and simple.

Where to start... I've seen it over and over again over the years but each time I notice different details. The Cloister is a masterly thing: each tile is a masterpiece of art and the harmony of colors is a joy to behold. After having seen the entire cloister, following the exit route, you will find yourself in the Nativity scene room: a 17th century Nativity scene in Capodimonte porcelain of admirable workmanship (I hope the photo can show you what I mean). After leaving the Nativity scene you will find a bar (which is also the exit): they all sell products obtained in the convents. I bought delicious honey and propolis candies. Just one piece of advice: go and see these artistic heritages that we have in Italy.

Luogo splendido, bellissimo il chiostro di maioliche ma anche la parte archeologica. Meno interessante la chiesa ricostruita nel II dopoguerra
