Anna Maria is a very thorough and knowledgeable guide. She is very well spoken in English and has great insights to the areas we went to. Highly recommended.

We came off the cruise ship and was met by Salvatore right at the port. He was very pleasant and excellent English. He took us 6 of us on a private trip to Positano where we had about 1 hour to look around (I would recommend more but we didn't have extra time). After leaving there, we had a tour set for Pompeii, but I organized a stop in Sorrento for lunch with reservations I made with alittle bit of time to walk around the town. After that we went to Pompeii. This tour included entrance and a private guide (highly recommended) at the site. We walked right in and did a 2-hour tour of the town. I'd say we saw maybe a 3rd of it. It's a very large city but all the sites were amazing! I highly recommend using Roberto D'Alessandro Touring. Communication was excellent and very prompt. From start to finish all went exactly as planned. Thank you!!! :)

I cannot recommend Roberto and Touring Italy enough! He created a trip beyond our expectations. He took all of the stress out of planning and scheduling, but more importantly he connected us with the best guides in all of Italy. It was incredible to learn about the history, culture, and food though a local and an expert. Each perfectly personalized everything, and kept our girls well engaged. In Florence, Elena was fantastic. She knew so much, so many people and would take us into little shops to meet a local artisan who was so special because of their craft. She immersed us into the Florentine culture, something we never would have been able to do without her. I think she’s a celebrity too, because everyone seemed to know her and love her 😊. She was beyond fantastic at guiding us through the Accademia, Pitti, Boboli gardens, Uffizi and the walk through the city to taste all of the amazing food. We even went back to the lunch restaurant for dinner because it was so good. Thanks to you, we were so fortunate to have her as our guide! Our driver though Tuscany, Maximiliano, was also fantastic, he was very professional, guided us through the beautiful countryside and explained the history of the towns and buildings. He stopped for perfect photo opportunities and also made good recommendations for gelato and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tenuta Torciano. Their wines were fantastic as well as the food. It’s a beautiful winery and Luca was the perfect host. Not only did we do the tasting, he brought additional wines to sample and spent time with us, we felt like special guests. In Rome, we enjoyed our time with Elena, learning about the Forum, Palatine Hill and Colosseum. She was also knowledgeable and was able to connect the past with the current time by showing us ruins and then pictures of how it might have looked before. And lastly, Christiaan was phenomenal as well. We learned about the history, art and architecture. It was so so crowded and he navigated us well, taking us to the most significant places and best views of everything including the Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basillica. Like Elena in Florence he was an expert in everything, explaining things through stories. Even my youngest who doesn’t love museums enjoyed his and her tours. I cannot thank Roberto enough for creating this experience and new family memories. We will always cherish this trip - especially the time with Elena and Christiaan. I will absolutely recommend Touring Italy to anyone traveling to Italy. We are hoping to travel to Southern Italy in the future, and will absolutely us Roberto when time to plan!

Roberto and his team at Touring Italy were highly recommended to our group of 15 traveling to Rome and then going on a cruise. We wanted to do a few pre-cruise tours in Rome, then 2 private tours when we stopped in Naples and Florence and then a post-cruise tour when the ship returned to Rome. Roberto spent months patiently and professionally advising, planning, organizing, and developing exactly what our group wanted. There was great communication and flexibility since we all are experienced travelers with our own preferences. The trip started with 2 drivers and 2 luxury vans meeting us at the Rome airport and taking us to our Rome hotel. The next day we again had 2 drivers and vans meeting up with our awesome tour guide to spend the day visiting the iconic sites in central Rome. The following day we ventured outside the center city and visited some fabulous sites. Again, the drivers and tour guide were great. The two tour guides we used were very personable, flexible, and possessed deep knowledge of where we were visiting. The next morning, we were picked up and taken to the cruise port. When we docked in Naples, the driver and tour guide were there to meet us and off to another exciting day of touring. The same when we docked in Florence. As usual, everyone was on time, professional and provided a wonderful experience in each port before returning us to the ship. Once we docked back in Rome, the drivers and vans were there to take us to meet our tour guide for the day. After another wonderful day we were driven to our hotel for the night before returning home. We all agreed that working with Roberto was a flawless execution of all the plans and expectations we had. His team of drivers and tour guides were a pleasure to work with. We strongly recommend working with Roberto if you need any help in planning excursions and tours in Italy. Everything went smoothly. Our guide, Salvatore, picked us up at the Naples port at 8:30 am. He was already waiting for us outside the port gate. He picked up 2 other couples and began the drive to Positano & Sorrento. Along the way, he explained certain historical sites. He stopped so we could take pictures in a viewing area above Sorrento. We continued on to Positano. I just wish we had more time in Positano as we only had 45 min but he wanted to ensure he got us back in time. We walked around, then he drove us back into Sorrento where we had a couple of hours for lunch and some gelato. He referred us to a cute lunch spot. We left Sorrento and he drove us back to the port. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He was also easy to get a hold of because they provided his whatsapp number in case we had any issues. I was able to text him when I forgot the meeting time and he quickly answered. Overall we were very happy with this tour. We made it back to the port by 4 pm and had time to walk around Naples.

It was a perfect day with Salvatore (Sally Man) as we called him. He was on time, informative and funny! We went to Sorrento and Positano. Salvatore was very in tune to everything we wanted to do. There were 8 of us traveling together so the 8 passenger van was perfect. Left on time and with plenty of traffic he got us back to our cruise ship in plenty of time. Our trip was a little slow to start, the driver could not meet us at the ship with the other tour guides. We finally met him outside the pier. He was very professional and pleasant, but very quiet. Which made us feel a little uneasy about where we were going first etc. I would recommend for a VIP tour to offer bottled water in the vehicle. Enjoyed each stop. Tenuta Torciano was a nice winery but be careful as we purchase 6 bottles to be shipped to the USA. We were assured, no shipping fee as they have a warehouse in Illinois. The prices were in Euros and Alberto at the winery took it upon himself to run our credit card in US dollars. The conversion was majorly not in our favor. We ended up paying about $50 more due to the winery doing the currency conversion instead of the bank. When questioned, he explained but never told us in advance. You wouldn’t think to ask this, but make sure you ask to have credit card run in Euros.

Our driver was on time and quickly escorted us to his very clean van. We ran into traffic so he changed his plans so we wouldn’t waste time. We had 1 hour of free time in positano and 2 hours of free time in Sorrento. He stop along the road for a picture stop. This was our best excursion on this trip. Antonio was fantastic!

The city is breathtaking beautiful! Using private guides enhanced the experience and allowed to see more at our own paise and our interests. The food is great but mainly with not the fantastic service, but very friendly, which compensated. Visiting San Gimignano was a highlight of the trip. Absolutely a must! Tuscany is beautiful, every turn opens a mesmerizing view. Adding to it very nice Chianti is a plus. The apartment we rented through VRBO was really very nice, very clean and perfectly located few steps from Ponte Vecchio. The whole center easily reached by walking. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. Thank you Susanne and Leonardo.

We used Roberto and his company on our recent trip to Italy. He arranged a private transfer from Rome to Positano and back with stops in Pompeii, Naples and a wine tasting at an excellent restaurant on Mt Vesuvius. Each of our experiences was phenomenal. Our lunch on Mt Vesuvius was one of the best meals we’ve ever had and our private tour of Pompeii was very informative. Our driver Antonio was always on time and just a very lovely person. The thought of traveling abroad with young children was overwhelming, especially when wanting to explore various regions in Italy. Hence, why I dragged my feet for so long in planning our family vacation, after having not such great luck in the past with travel agents. I am particular when it comes to vacationing, only because my husband and I's time is so limited. However, by the grace of God, a few patients of mine recommended Roberto from Touring Italy. They themselves had the most amazing trips to Italy's Northern and Southern regions, and all a the hands of Roberto. I figured, it was worth a shot to take the stress out of planning all on my own. Roberto is amazing we first meet Roberto about 4 years ago when we were on a cruise in italy. He picked us up at the cruise terminal in Naples and was our driver and guide for the day touring Sorrento and Positano. It was the highlight of our vacation.
