Excellent service for our trip to Pompei - very comfortable vehicle for 6 adults and informative driver who gave us plenty of information on the drive to Pompei - Amalfi Driving tours also arranged for a private guide for us who had picked up our entry tickets, She was excellent - you do need a guide to explain all you see in Pompei. Valerio was a great driver! He was easy to communicate with, the booking process was easy and he was extremely reliable. He was there early for a 4 am pick up. We used Valerio for a private transfer from Sorrento back to the airport in Naples. He was a great communicator and confirmed our time the day before and the morning of. The vehicle is VERY clean and nice. On our drive to the airport, he pointed out beautiful scenery and shared historical information about the sites we were passing by. We were worried about the drive back and really didn’t want to sit on a hot train before flying back to London, but Valerio’s service made the trip a breeze. We got to the airport with plenty of time to spare! He also picked up our friend at 4am since she had to be at the airport very early. Would recommend for anyone!

Valerio was punctual and engaging during our day tour. We had such a fun and immersive experience. Valerio knows the coast like the back of his hand, taking us to the most amazing places for photos and experiences. We requested to skip the verticality of Positano due to ambulatory issues and he offered to use the extra time to take us to Pompeii. With little notice, he was even able to secure a private tour guide there for us. He also led us to a nice place for lunch before the tour. Valerio went the extra mile, or should I say kilometer, to cater to our needs. We enjoyed his services so much, we hired him to transport us (group of six) and all our luggage, to Rome for a continuation of our vacation. We had an amazing full day tour through the Amalfi coast from Sorrento. Our driver was Valerio and he was extremely knowledgeable, personable, friendly, and considerate. We consider having Valerio being our guide to be the most important part of what made our day so magical! Our family are heavy duty, frequent travelers and we speak from extensive experience with tours all over the world.

As I was on my way to Salerno via train to catch a ferry to Positano, my ferry canceled and there were no other ferries going out. I found Amalfi driving tours on the internet while looking for a car transfer to positano. I messaged Valerio and he immediately responded and was able to have a car meet me by the time my train was arriving in Salerno. We were greeted by Carlo at the station who took us from Salerno to Positano. Without asking, he took us on a scenic route and even made stops for us to stop and take pictures. The views were breathtaking and he even offered to take some pictures of us which were beautiful. Carlo was so funny and so pleasant, we actually didn’t even realize the ride. We had such a good time with him that we decided to book a tour with him to Ravello and Amalfi for the next day. I was super late returning from the gardens of Ravello and Carlo just laughed and didn’t mind, he is a gem of a human! On our ride back to positano, he also stopped and got us fresh fruits at a local stand with amazing views and even had a photoshoot by the farmer. Our best moments of the trip were spent with him, he truly felt like a friend in such a short amount of time. I met many people who complained about the route and feeling car sick from all the twists and turns but we didn’t even notice it. We learned a lot about the different cities along the amalfi coast as we were passing through. He also has a lot of great recommendations on what to do and where to eat. I can’t say enough great things about him or my experience!

Just got back from Italy and we used Amalfi Driving Tours twice. Pickup in Rome with a stop in Naples and onto Sorrento. And our return trip back to Rome airport with a stop recommended by our amazing driver. Antonella handled our “custom reservation”. She was prompt and so helpful. Our driver, VALERIO, was AMAZING and so attentive. He shared information around towns we were passing through, he made recommendation on where to stop for lunch in Naples (Pizza was outstanding)…he instantly felt like family. We were thrilled when we had him on our return trip and he recommended making a quick stop in Positano which wasn’t on our agenda but everyone was so glad to have gone! Such a wonderful experience and wish we had booked one of their formal tours!

We were traveling from Rome to Positano, but wanted to stop in Pompeii, so a private driver seemed like the best solution. I thought I was just ordering a car service, but I got much, much more. Our driver, Carlo, was top notch. He arranged for us to have lunch at a winery at the bottom of Mount Vesuvius and stopped several times along the way to Positano for photos. They also arranged to have a tour guide meet us in Pompeii. The ride was smooth and relaxing. After taking another service that the hotel arranged to leave Positano, I realized that not everyone can make that drive without leaving you carsick. Carlo made a long travel day one of our favorite days of the trip. Well worth the money.

We hired Valerio during our recent vacations in Italy. He was very professional, punctual, informative, educated, well-mannered, and entertaining. During the three weeks spent with him, we all felt very happy & pleased. He speaks fluent English and takes his time to explain the details of all the tours. We greatly enjoyed his guidance in Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Rabello and Puglia. His Mercedes Minivan was always clean and comfortable. We highly recommend Valerio for your next trip to Italy. Valerio is the best!! My husband, daughter (20), and I were staying in Sorrento last week and spent a full day with Valerio touring the Amalfi coast. He picked us up in Sorrento at our hotel in a beautiful Mercedes. Valerio was professional, kind, spoke beautiful English, he was very knowledgeable about everything we saw, and flexible with what we wanted to see. We first went to visit Ravello, then headed towards Amalfi, and then continued onto Positano where we stayed for an early dinner. On our way, my daughter expressed that she was so excited to try lemon sorbet. He pulled over to where he said it had the best lemon sorbet and not only jumped out of the car to get it for us, but insisted on treating us. Valerio was quick to respond when I messaged him, he was on time, and would recommend his services to anyone. He was also a very good driver and we felt safe in his car. Thank you for helping us experience the Amalfi coast and making this day one of our favorites of our trip. The memories will stay with us forever !

To sum up though, safe, dependable, honest, knowledgeable, flexible, cheerful, and entertaining/charming. March 30 my wife and I checked out of Relais Castrum Boccea and took the complimentary shuttle to Battistini with 2 young (compared to us) couples headed to Rome for the day. We were on our way to Naples for the first time via the "Red Train.* Our two Halfaday duffles could not hold all of the parcels we had accumulated in the first month of our 4 month pilgrimage to several Schengen countries and the British Isles. We were so pitious in appearance (and aged - we have 163 years between us) that our temporary companions took pity on us and grabbed may of our parcels to help us to the subway to Rome Termini (kindly sharing their expertise in ticketing, showing us the way to the platform, and riding with us to make sure we made it). We hoped to find somewhere at Rome Termini a suitcase large enough to absorb our excess packages and reduce our load to (only) 3 bags. Luckily after our saviors left is, we found a shop that had two 29" hardshells for $90 euro each (1 was not enough.) Our packages filled them up and we made our way to the platform for our train. My original plan was to connect with a local train from Napoli Centrale to Vico Equense and then a local bus to our B&B, Villa Denise. Loading the 4 bags onto the Red Train again required the help of kind strangers. Most of the way to Napoli I reviewed my plan to catch the local train from Garibaldi upstairs from the Red Train platform. About 10 minutes from Napoli Centrale I belatedly concluded my plan was insane under the circumstances and jumped on Google to search for a rental car. In a couple of minutes it was clear it was similarly insane to search for a rental on such short notice, and I switched to searching for a car-for-hire in desperation knowing that was almost equally insane. Amalfi Tours popped up at the top of the search offering contacts by email and phone. I called but got a busy signal so I emailed requesting transport to Villa Denise as the Red Train was slowing into the station. Valeriio called me a minute later and immediately promise to have a driver, Carlo, pick us up at the station (with a van large enough for our Paris Hilton-sized luggage collection) in less than a half hour. Miraculously Carlo did meet us at the appointed time and place and wished us to Villa Denise, while he pointed out Vesuvius and other points of interest. Thus began a perfect association with Amalfi Tours that made our stay in Naples a complete success. Impressed with Carlo, we confidently scheduled a one day tour of Pompeii, Positano, and Sorrento for Monday, after a day of rest-recovery (which Valerio later accommodatingly rescheduled for Tuesday - Monday was to much for my poor travel-weary wife). We felt completely safe and valued, and had the best day with our driver Filippo and Pompeii guide Antonella, learning all we could handle about all 3 sites Later in the week Filippo drove us to the airport for transit to Sicily. I happily, and thankfully, avoided driving in the Naples area (Positano is for the brave only) and we have memories we will always treasure. That experience is worth 12 out of 10 stars, don't you agree?

Valerio is the BEST tour guide!!! What a time we have had exploring southern Italy. We started on an hour bullet train from Rome to Naples to meet him for a private tour of the coast. Our first stop was to explore the colorful villages of Positano•Amalfi Coast, Italy and do some shopping. Absolutely breathtaking. We stopped in Sorrento for some beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea, a sweet taste of the south. We had a brief exploration of olive and lemon groves on the drive and were able to do some shopping. Valerio made reservations for us at a popular pizza spot in Pompeii were we ate the best pizza we had ever had. After an amazing lunch we toured the Pompeii Ruins, one of the most archeological places in the world. The kids absolutely loved this tour and said it was their favorite of the trip by far. We all learned so much about this ancient city. We finished the tour in Naples driving through the city where we stopped to do a little shopping. We are so grateful for Valerio We could have never covered so much on our own. I still can’t believe we were able to plan this tour last minute with a days notice. Thank you Valerio and Amalfi Driving Tours. We will never forget all the memories we created because of you!!
