This would have to be one of the best experiences - something to treasure. The opportunity to travel to the ancient ruins of Pompeii in a guided tour allows for a deep dive into the history. The tour also allows for the travelling to and from out of your hands in what is a challenging city (Naples) for foreign drivers. The opportunity to then have a traditional lunch on the way up the volcano, was awesome. The food was great, followed by the steep walk up the volcano to its opening. The views of Naples and Salerno and the coastline is one you will never better. Further, the opportunity to be up close and personal with nature's beast, was matched by its beauty and awe. The magnitude of this adventure will never be lost on myself and my daughter as we shared this wonderful natural adventure.

Visiting the Pompei Archaeological Site was an amazing experience. The logistics of meeting our tour operator and getting transported to and from Pompei from Naples went pretty smoothly. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and provided a good tour. While her English was good, she also spoke with a thick accent making it somewhat difficult to understand even with the headsets provided. The tour lasted just under 2 hours. We spent about an hour getting to Pompei from Naples and an hour getting back into the city. This allowed for a good overview of the site, and we hit many of the highlights, but I realized afterward that we probably only saw about 25-30 % of what is there. Ideally, it would have been nice to take the 2-hour tour and then wander around on our own for the rest of the afternoon but of course this would have required us to find our own way back to Naples. In retrospect, this could have been done by catching a train or bus from Pompei back to Naples.

The tour was exactly as advertised. Private transport to and from a location nearby our hotel with a roughly 2 hour guided tour on site. Perfect if you want a low-stress arrangement. Pompei is a very huge site where you can spend several hours. If you'd like to see much of the site then this tour would not be ideal.

Wonderful. I have been to Pompeii several times, but this tour helped me better understand the city and what actually happened there. Our tour guide Elisa was very witty and knowledgeable, explaining and pointing out details that would have gone unnoticed otherwise. The morning flew, and we walked, and walked... but the beauty and info kept us going. The bus there was smooth - we were picked up just in front of Centrale train station. And we returned on another mini bus almost exactly where we started.

this is a great half day tour.. pick up was great and easy off the ship pier.. only thing they had a few stops to pick up other at differ locations which took 30 min out of way... but once there we had a great tour guild.. our group had a super amazon time in Pompeii .. first visit for us all and well spend money. had enough time after they drop us off to enjoy a great local lunch and some shopping before returning to the ship

Visiting Pompei is fascinating. But Elisa, our tour guide, brought day to day life of a bygone civilization to life. Her historical knowledge of ancient times and how those they events help shape our modern society was informative as well as entertaining. Elisa was a fabulous guide who figuratively brought Pompei back to life. Request her by name (Elisa) and you’ll get your money’s worth out of this tour.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable about Pompeii. Wish we could have seen more of the ruins. Took a lot of photos it was amazing.

Pompeii was amazing, although the guide’s heavy accent made it difficult to understand at times. I felt like she did a good job of showing us the most important sites and explaining it well. Fascinating.

Amazing, so much history, great tour guide with good sense of humour! Not too many steps for my sore knees! The roads still in tact from 6th century BC!

This was mostly transportation to and from the different places. The guide we had at Pompeii was good, but we were a large group and it was hard to hear unless you were really close to the guide.

Friendly driver - tour was as described- got us back on time. Crazy mountainous roads did not expect. Lots of drive time and a reasonable amount of visit time. Personally i would like more visit time and less stops

You need to go in winter it's less crazy. The problem was waiting for everybody in the morning when we was getting picked up. Honestly the guide was good. I felt we missed out stuff. Now the worst bit was the food. My word it was like canned dog food. Honestly if you have the pizza. Bring your own it's very oily . The Gnocchi was like somthing out a tin in the super market. Your pay 4 euro a coke. Plus your driver will be on his phone driving in the middle of two lanes of traffic. Trust me pray your make it home. All in all it was ok
