It was free entry the day we went. First Sunday of the month. Bought an Artecard and caught train from Naples. Just outside the station you can go upstairs and book a walking tour, but we took the audio guide option instead. That was ok. It told us about each place. Pompeii is so huge we were happy we took the whole day to see it. Did not disappoint.

This tour covers so much in a half day! We were able to see many of the highlights of Naples and learned a lot about the history. Pompeii was absolutely incredible. It's so well preserved and we were in awe with everything we saw. I highly recommend this tour since it's very informative and you cover so much ground in such a short period of time without feeling rushed.

I'd give it a 4.5 for the reason that we ran out of time. We did not get a chance to see the remains and other finds in display at the very end section of the Pompeii visit. Our lady tour guide is articulate and well versed to the historical subject of the tour. Thank you very much.

This is a great way to see Naples and learn about the city. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and completed the tour in both Italian and English, so some information might have been missed. Then they drove us to Pompeii. Pompeii is a definite do not miss. Once there everyone was split into tour groups by language. Our tour guide in Pompeii was very knowledgeable. At the end you see a map of all Pompeii and you realize how small of an area we toured; even though, it did not seem like a small area while touring it. They found more recently in a newer section they are currently excavating. There really is not time to eat lunch, so just prepare to eat afterwards.

We really enjoyed this tour of Naples and Pompeii, it was very informative with friendly guides. The pick up and drop off was easy from arranged location. The overall tour is very informal and the guides very approachable and helpful in providing information and further suggestions/recommendations for our stay. Recommend this tour for a enjoyable outing in Naples & Pompeii.

We took the tour on May 16 and overall, this was a good tour. The guide was excellent with lots of interesting historical tidbits. His English was very good, and he answered questions cheerfully and completely. The only drawback was the wait at the cruise ship terminal before we got going (at least half an hour, with no explanation) and again, once we reached Pompeii, there was a huge crush of people on tour that took awhile to sort out. Our guide seemed to be the first to get his tour together and on our way. He was easy to hear and follow even though there were lots of other tourists and students around. The stops around Naples were interesting and very scenic. If you only have a few hours in Naples, this tour is a good one.

What a wonderful experience starting at the church of st Gennaro.. to the coastline to Pompeii.. our guide Elisa was top notch and really made for an awesome experience. I would recommend it to everyone

Pick-up was prompt, and our guide Elisa was knowledgeable and entertaining. She gave us a wealth of information about all the sites that we visited in Naples and in Pompeii with a native bent. Highly recommended, as everything went without a hitch. (I traveled with my adult son, but there is no option for that.)

We stopped at Naples for two days as part of our Italy trip. Came across this tour group several weeks before arrival trough the Marriott website where we booked our hotel. We booked our trip online paying a small deposit. We were promptly picked up at our hotel at 8am. Our tour guide Maria provided an excellent overview of the significant historical landmarks as we drove across the city and stopping along the way to take photos. By 10 we were on our way to Pompeii. We spent just over 2 hours touring he ruins. Maria provided a very in depth history lesson bringing the ruins to life. I did not like Naples as a city since it seems worn down full of graffiti. However this tour really brought out the rich culture and made our short stay enjoyable.
